Dear Mare(ena) Titanos/Barrow,

Really, Mare? It took you ages to realize that that lady COULDN'T speak, as opposed to WOULDN'T speak. Goodness.
And then, you're all like, "Hmm. Cal showed up to my room, talking about how I'm not a good dancer. I wonder where he's going to take me and what we're going to do..." Come on, Mare. You couldn't have guessed that it was going to be dance practice related?
Ugh. Mare, I like you, but you're making it very hard for me.

You've got to be kidding me,
- Dawn McAlterego

Okay. On page 24, Farley says, "Payment is expected in full, to the equivalent of one thousand crowns."
In the next paragraph, Mare says, "A thousand?"
Then Farley says, "This can be paid in paper notes, tetrarch coins, or the barter equivalent. Per item of course."
BUT then in the next paragraph, Mare thinks, "Two thousand crowns."
I thought that Farley just said that she had to pay the equivalent of one thousand crowns!
Did I miss something? (Did I miss something when Farley said "per item of course"?) Is it just me?

Then, on page 255, Mare asks Cal, "How many dead?"
But then it says, "'Ten so far,' he mutters. 'Three in the shooting, eight in the explosion. Fifteen more wounded.'"
Did I miss something there too? I thought that if three people died in the shooting, and eight people died in the explosion, then that meant that eleven people were dead! Or does he mean that out of those eleven that ten were dead? But if that was what he meant, why didn't he say it like that?

Maybe my life is a lie. Maybe 3 + 8 really does equal 10. Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I'm really terrible at math.

Nevertheless, I am still really enjoying this book.

Aveyard is an English major, not a mathematician...we can't really blame her for her mistakes! XDXDXD

LOL! But still, there are people who are supposed to check for continuity errors! I wonder if they thought that there was nothing wrong with the writing and thought that they themselves were making the error, and didn't speak up to clarify and change it...

But other than those times, I really enjoyed Victoria's writing style!
