Play with friends. Haven't tried playing with another band online. I hear its possible. Do you play?
We have the game, but it has been a long time since I really played. If you don't take things too seriously it'd be cool to try out a few songs.
I have one as well. My gt is AuthorCWA. I actually owned a LAN center for a few years so I had lots of Rock Band practice, but I don't have the game at home. These days I am playing mostly shooters (Borderlands 2, Halo 4, Black Ops 2).
I debated picking up Borderlands 2 as I really enjoyed the first one, but I don't have any friends that play and in general playing with random people tends to piss me off. I've been doing a lot of shooters as well: Farcry 3, RE6, GoW 3, etc.
I have an XBox Live account, but have avoided online play up to now, because I spend too much time playing single player campaigns as it is. My wife would grab the dog, lock me in the basement, and leave for Parts Unknown! However, I've always been attracted to WOW, Magic the Gathering, and Everquest. Favorite single-players are Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, RE4, Dead Island (MUCH better than the Reviews give it credit for, IMO), XCOM Enemy Unknown, and most of all Dark Souls - probably the most difficult RPG ever created, but also the most fun and FAIR - there is a way to beat every foe and boss. But of course now you see where the time suck is - like my books, I like my games Epic and Vast! Not good, not good at all . . .
I was looking for some good networking opportunities using Live. I think it would be nice to actually do some verbal interviews and possible book discussions using the party chat.
I don't have a headset but that could be quickly remedied (listening to little kids talk trash on-line gets old pretty quick - but if I have people to actually communicate with it would be worth it).M.R. - Skyrim = awesome. I lost my account when I sold my business and I hesitate starting a new one now because I know how much of a time-sink it will be.
Scott - I liked the first Borderlands and the 2nd is even better. I'm working on my fourth play-through with my 2nd character and it just seems to get better and better. I will add your GT when I get home from work.
M.R. and Jeffrey - what are your GT's?
My GamerTag is UncappedClock55. Weird, I know, but that's what xbox assigned to me and for some reason I didn't want to change it. By the way, fair warning, DO NOT BUY Resident Evil 6. It is extremely addicting yet extremely frustrating. Controls and gameplay are cryptic and not obvious, and it came with virtually no instructions. Great story, however, and I can't stop playing it. Incidentally, if either of you have played it, I am currently stuck and will ask for help - ha!
Added you M.R. I also have RE6, though I have to disagree with your eval of it. I thought it was pretty terrible in comparison to RE5 though it is fairly fun when played co-op over Live.
No problem, Scott. I will probably break down and get the guide for this one, but it is not very specific on controls. Most folks I've talked with don't like either RE5 or RE6. Neither can compare to RE4, of course - one of the best games of all time in any genre. Anyway, my main problem right now is beating the Ogroman as Jake. No matter how much I twirl or move the joystick back and forth, I can't dislodge the appendage. Should I try both joysticks at the same time? Sigh . . . I do hate this game.
Which difficulty are you playing through on? If you want to try co-op at some point let me know, I beat the game with a few characters but don't remember which ones.
I thought RE5 was fantastically fun I still play it at times. I did get the special edition RE6 so it came with RE4 haven't played that since my gamecube days and I can't wait to give it a shot.

Never done co-op, so I might be willing to give it a try (don't have a headset, though). I take it it would work as a split screen - might be cool. I'll let you know, maybe Fri. night or sometime this weekend. I'm playing on normal, by the way. Shouldn't be this hard.

You are a gamer? Awesome~! What kind of games do you play? I'll play anything, but I am mostly into FPS games with a story (Halo, Resistance 2). I do play RPGs but they are huge and require a lot of "items" for the player to have. My favorite RPG so far is Fallout 3. I found it a few years ago. My favorite FPS is the Resistance series hands down. I love the world in the games. The chimera, the survival aspects, the intel....its glorious.

Do yourself a favor and get Resident Evil: Revelations when it comes out. I played the 3DS version last year, and it was outstanding. They're porting it to everything else with HD graphics and new features and such.
My gamertag is DogFoodBob. I haven't been using the XBox a lot lately, but I may be doing another playthrough of Borderlands 2 sometime soon.

Also if enough people have accounts we could potentially do some book discussions and such on there if people would be interested.
