Tolkien Support Group discussion

Ok friends, I'm trying to read The Silmarilion for maybe the 4th or 5th time, I keep getting stuck about twenty pages in, does it get better? Any words of advice or encouragement? Thanks!

Ah! I'm having trouble with The Silmarillion myself. It's not that I can't read it. I have it on my Fantasy shelf, staring at me, but I can't bring myself to read it. It is the last ever Middle-Earth book for me, and if I read it... the magic will be at an end

An advice for all Tolkien books is to force yourself through the first 5 chapters. At least that what I did when I struggled a bit with The Hobbit.
