Part 1 complete! How did you feel about the first section of the book? What do you think about the world and how would you feel living in it!?

Rebecca Audette (rebeccacolleen) Aw I've already read this! But I loved it :) Thought I'd mention that I just found the paperback at indigo for 2/$15!

Same, I've read this but I'm going to re-read it! That's a pretty amazing deal, though! Facebook me, it's been so long. We should catch up :)

G.G. (ggatcheson) I had bought the eBook on Amazon, but when the sequel came out, I decided that eBook wasn't cutting it. I got them both in paper version.
After all, it's hard to display an eBook on a shelf.;)

Forgot to answer the question. The world seems real. I wouldn't want to be living in it. I like to trust people. :P

Crystal | 2 comments I honestly think i wouldve did well... I dont trust easily and given then situation cassie was in the beginning i wouldve done the same as she has

Madeleine | 4 comments I don't think I would last 5 minutes. I'm too trusting.

Michael (michjarv98) | 5 comments I do believe i'm going to re-read this after i finish Clockwork Angel so yeah. the movie doesn't come out till January and i need to read the sequel

I still don't believe I would survive in this work even though I wouldn't trust many people! This survival of the fittest type of world would be too intense and I would most likely freak the fuck out before I'd get to the end of the book!

I don't think I would last either but not because I'd trust too easily, but because I'd freak out and who knows if I know how to survive in a world like that!

Yes, re-read it and read the sequel! I can't wait for the movie.

Yeah, neither have I, I hope no spoilers will pop up.

LOL I don't know about freaking out too much, but I have a feeling my family would be the death of me!

Krista (kristascookin) | 2 comments I want to read it again. I flew through the books and I am curious to see if I pick up anything different the second time around

MaryAnn | 2 comments Yes, I know what you mean. Sometimes I can be so excited to get to the end of a book to see how things will turn out that later I have forgotten certain details in the story line. If you are going to give the books a second go around, I would suggest you try the audiobooks (Audible.com) they were really well done.

Judy | 16 comments I read the sequel as soon as it came out, but that has been several months. I saw the movie trailer at the theater over the weekend and it looks incredible, but I am afraid to reread to close to the movie since there are usually so many differences. I think I will enjoy the movie more if I DON'T reread first. I WILL reread before the next book though!

Teri Rankin | 1 comments I could not put the first one down but the sequel was not as interesting to me. I am looking forward to the movie version. It is fun to see how others interpret a book and what they see as vital to a script.

Kay J | 25 comments I'm getting 5th wave today, can't wait to start reading so I can start participating in the discussion, I've been avoiding them so as not to read any spoilers.

Jasmine (jassimplyreads) I LOVE The 5th Wave so much. I read it as my monthly challenge and all I know is that I was trying to learn something new about this apocalyptic world and the next minute I was like, Where's my The Infinite Sea? Believe me, this story is way too much intriguing and I couldn't put it down while reading it!

Agreed! I liked the 5th wave way better than the sequel. I hope the last book is a good as the first book.

Jane I'm a third of the way in listening to the narrators do an awesome job with the gut wrenching material. Cassie's quips balance it out though! I would hope I could deal but you never know until you are faced with it.

I would always love living in the world because I can't live anywhere else ;)

Hi!
I just joined this group and I've already read The Fifth Wave and its sequel, The Infinite Sea . I'm probably going to reread them around the time the movie comes out.

Kay J | 25 comments So i finished reading the 5th wave and my goodness, what a rush, very well written. I do hope the movie does it justice, and not mess it up. Wow Evan was awesome, i hope he returns in second book. I have it on hold at my library. Hope it comes in soon but wow, this was an awesome read.

O my goodness! Really have you finished the second book? Im so excited to read it.

Stacy (theimaginetree) | 3 comments I finally started reading the book and I am wondering why I waited so long to begin. The writing is very believable and the story is not like any alien novel that I have read so far. I would probably be more like Cassie, focused on survival at all costs.

I felt the same way when i started reading this book, it so much different then the usual alien novels. It was believable sometimes i would be so deep in the book that when i would take a break, i would forget that it wasn't really happening. This was a well written novel.

I concur. Very awesome story.

Diane U (djuseless) I am reading this book now and I am about 60% through it. I love it! I wish I had more time to sit and read! I bet the movie will be amazing also.

Kimberly Ive read this book and the next one, i loved both of them and i can't wait until the last book!
