Name: Tasha Alegra RominNickname: Alli
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Date of Birth: 6/13
Morality: Not really on one side or another, yet. She loves doing anything to be entertained, and if that means stealing or trespassing or disobeying superiors, she'll be on that bus with a bunch of people just like her or worse, but if it comes down to hurting someone, all bets are off. She does believe in revenge and that people deserve what they have coming for them, even if she's the one that has to deliver.
Hero/Villain: Mostly a hero, as long as she'll get some reward for it.
Alias: Sonority
Supernatural Abilities:
She's able to copy sounds, whether it's a bird's chirp or the tambre of a man's voice. A creaky door, or a police siren.
She can also mute or amplify sounds.
As well as throw whatever sound she makes like a ventriloquist to make it seem like it's coming from elsewhere.
Appearance:

Distinctive Feature: She has a tattoo in her ear of music notes, though she usually covers it with her hair.

After she gets a costume:

History: Raised as an army brat on a military base in Cali, she learned all about the art of war and was trained to fight in self-defense. From hand to hand combat to sniper rifle, she knows the basics for an arsenal of weapons that her father got her interested in learning to use. At first, she hated it, and her mother disapproved. While her mother kept home schooled her from the base, her father took her to shooting ranges and obstacle courses to 'toughen her up for the real world' and 'prepare her for her future', though her mother never saw the logic in why a 7-year old girl would need to know how to use a pistol. Around her thirteenth birthday, her mom convinced her to focus more on school and less on the path her father had laid out for her. She studied hard, fought hard, and did her best to make her parents proud of her. She'd planned to follow her dreams and go to college, then go into the military like her father, therefore fulfilling both of her parents' dreams. That was before her dad was KIA, and her mom took her away from the military base. All that Tasha knew was left behind. In the wallows of depression at the knowledge of her father's death, she began using her middle name like her first and deciding to go for her mother's dream with a renewed passion. She couldn't handle that her father had died, though, so she decided to do what she thought would make him happy, like cooking him breakfast and not letting kids at school think she was weak.
Unfortunately, when she arrived at the public school, she wasn't weak enough. People saw her as the new girl whose mother was a widow, and since she never talked about it and threatened to beat up anyone who brought her father's death up, they assumed she was the culprit of her dad's death. When her mother found out that she had no friends and was more interested in practicing her knife fighting in the backyard than going to the mall with local girls, she was told to try and 'be normal'. The more she tried to fit in with normal girls, though, the more popular she was for being the girl who could kick your butt before you could blink. With that rumor floating around, she wasn't accepted by most cliques in the school. Being called a freak and a murderer, she was shunned by the students and feared by the staff. Betrayed, she began looking for other sources of acceptance. She soon found out about drugs and, though she didn't do them, loved the thrill of barely getting out of danger. Her reputation for being a freak felon was strengthened by her drug activities. She was expelled from school when they found drugs in her locker that she'd planned to sell after school, and with no school accepting her and no job wanting her, she found that she was best suited for crime.
When her mother found out, she disowned her and kicked her out of the house, hurting her with the words that her father would be disappointed in her, and telling her that she 'could have tried harder'. She had friends on the streets, though, and the more she did, for them, the more she was paid. The more she was paid, the more she was respected, and to her, respect and acceptance went hand in hand. She hadn't been sure about it at first, but with no real friends to turn to and no mother to guide her, she accepted her first job and went into a warehouse to steal drugs. That was the first time she'd found out about her powers. When a man nearly caught her, she closed her eyes and concentrated on being completely silent. She was surprised when it actually worked. She could breath normally and not hear her breath, feel her rapid heart beat but know that it couldn't be heard. When she stepped, there was no thud of her boot hitting the floor, or the boards creaking under her weight. She was absolute silence. When she heard police sirens across the bay, she wondered if muting herself would allow her to amplify them. It worked, and she grinned as the guard dropped their weapons and went out with their hands above their heads at the thought of being surrounded, only to be dumbfounded when there was no one outside waiting for them. She snatched what she'd come for and then some and ran. The man who'd given her the job was pleased, and her friend that had recommended her to him nodded to her in respect and admitted that it was one of the harder jobs. She was glad to find acceptance from somewhere, even if being a freak had been true. Finding a liking in her perfect niche, she's become a well known thief and drug transporter, while having a job at an underground club as a bartender and dancer when her boss doesn't have something for her to deliver or steal.
Location: San Diego, California, USA
Family: Her mother, though she's learned that she moved away about two months after she kicked Alli out. She doesn't know her mom's whereabouts, and is glad that her mom allowed her to have no connections so that nothing held her back in her job.
Personality: Rough around the edges, Alli - known as Alli Cat in the underground - does what she wants, when she wants, as long as it doesn't conflict with a superior. With her military brain, she honors orders given to her by her bosses under any circumstance, often rising above expectations. If she's told to get ten eight gram bags of cocaine, she returns with fifteen ten gram bags. If a guy asks her to shake up a good concoction at the bar, she chooses the strongest whiskies and ales that taste good and serves them up in a tall glass of delicious, addictive alcohol.
Between the rush of a close call in the local jewelry store and the thrill of dancing close to a guy that wants what he can't have, she's learned to be laid back and fully aware at the same time. Like a sleeping wolf, one thing seems off, and she's wide awake and ready for a fight. She's taught herself not to trust anyone, though having allies isn't giving up trust. You can rely on someone and still know enough to stab them in the back to get what you need, or to cut their arm off when they don't hold up their end of a bargain. Without trust, she also has no emotional ties, and therefore, no need to worry about people she cares about being killed by her enemies in order to get her to betray her superiors. She's merciless and cunning and the perfect criminal.
She can often be careless, though, relying too much on her powers to worry about slipping up sometimes. Since she's not a perfectionist, she does leave trails behind that get her bosses riding her about 'if someone where to really investigate', which she has confidence no one will. Who's going to look for fingerprints in a raid on another gang? Who's going to notice her boot prints when they blend in with the same cop shoes that patrol the hallways when she breaks out a colleague? No one, that's who. Her habit becomes a flaw that she's brushed off to mean nothing, and since she believes that, she believes she's unstoppable.
She's given up on her days of being an innocent girl, though subconsciously she misses having dreams and aspirations. She often uses her powers to talk to herself, reminding herself of the father she'd planned to live up to, and of the people who'd scorned her not for her powers, but her naivety.
She swears never to let other people's opinions on her shape her life anymore, though she doesn't know that it's happening all the time, and that she is being forged into someone that she never would have thought possible for her. Sometimes she notices the changes and denies that they're as drastic as she's imagining. She thinks she's still the person her dad would have wanted her to be, just working under different conditions. In her attempts to remain the same, she blinds herself to the compassionless, hard-headed girl that she has become. She justifies her new life as doing what her father would want, just under a different leadership. And a good leadership at that, since they took her in when no one else had.
One thing has remained the same, though. She's still that naive person that thought she could be one of the popular girls. She still thinks that everything will have a silver lining if she's just patient enough to see it through.
Likes:
- Being scared. It raises her adrenaline levels and makes her feel invincible.
- A good fight. When she knows she can beat someone and make a fool out of them for trying, yeah, it's okay entertainment to boost her ego, but when someone can actually challenge her, it gives her more to do than toy with them.
- Running. It's a bit odd, but whether it's a jog through the park or scaling rooftops to hide from the cops, the wind in her face and the rapid sensation of her heartbeat throbbing throughout her body helps remind her that she's just human, and that she can make mistakes.
Dislikes:
- Name calling. Anyone who thinks they're better than her deserves to be taught a lesson.
- Being pressured. If she doesn't want to do it, she doesn't want to do it, but the dark thought of not being accepted often seeps into her mind and causes an internal conflict that she can't stand, due to a choice between two bad outcomes - hating herself or having others hate her.
- Being told she's wrong. She knows what she's doing isn't what normal people would consider the right side of the coin, but she doesn't fit in with the happy people of accepted society, so she thinks that people who accept her for who she is are the better of the two parties, and she'd rather be a wanted criminal than an outcast.
Strengths:
- She knows how to fight in many styles, both from her father and from being on the streets.
- She's very... persuasive, meaning that whether it's bribing a cop, teasing a cashier with her body, or just beating a guard into unconsciousness, she always gets what she wants.
Weaknesses:
- Though she doesn't like being pressured, she'll often give in to what others want her to do in order to gain their respect and acceptance. Unless it's strictly evil, she'll do some pretty bad things.
- Even though she's tough, she's still human, and she still has feelings. Though she may not show it to others, she hates herself when she feels weak, and she hates herself for hating herself, so she often bottles up her sadness. If a crack were to penetrate that dammed up emotion, she'd break.
Object of Special Value: Her father's dog tags that were taken off of him after they found his body.

Name: Liviana Valeria(Nickname): Close friends call her Livia or Live.
Gender: Feminine
Age: 16
Date of Birth: November 12th
Morality: Liviana has a golden heart for she tries to do the best for everyone. She has a strong sense of right and wrong.
She will never intentionally hurt someone unless by mistake or when in rage. Hero.
Alias: Soulreader
Soulreading: Ability to look into people's eyes and see their most precious memories and emotions, as well as someone's strengths and weaknesses. Can only do this few times per person and will feel weakened each time that ability is used per person.
Telepathic: Can hear one's thoughts. (THIS IS VERY LIMITED. She can only hear one's thoughts if she read their soul and has a connection with them like a family member, a friend, or a consistent enemy)
Appearance:

(view spoiler)
Hair Color: She has black hair naturally but the upper layers are a nice chestnut brown that were lightened up by the sun.
Eye Color: Dark Brown with flecks of gold when she uses her power.
Body Type: Slender. Tall (5'7") Has Tan Indian Skin.
Distinctive Feature: The "magic" in her veins sometimes glows gold on her almond skin. They run along her arms, her back, to her ankles.

Disguise: Liviana likes to wear leather boots and a leather jacket to blend into the night and since they are durable.
History: Liviana Valeria was born in New York to Sari and James Valeria. The minute she was born, her eyes turned gold, letting her see into her mother's eyes as the woman had cradled Liviana in her arms. Liviana, though a new born had no idea what happened, but remembers to this day about the sun shining, her mother's soul a clear light for her. Sari and James wanted a safe enviorment for their daughter, thinking of moving somewhere else but in the end chose New York.
As Liviana grew up in New York, she found herself to be proud of it, loving the Big Apple. Two years after she was born, a younger brother became her constant companion. The boy's name was Raj. Growing up, Liviana had a normal life.
Yeah right.
All the time, she saw people's souls, quite often, not knowing how to control it at first. Through constant research and the help of her best friend, Sarah, she learned that being controlled, her emotions calm, was the key to stopping the visions. With practice, she got used to them, not fainting or stumbling throughout the halls of school anymore.
When Liviana turned 14, her Uncle, took her to his house for the summer. The purpose? To train. Her uncle, Jai, had been a strong, young man, teaching her the ways of the crossbow and sword. Spear and longbow were helpless. Daggers became her favorite along with her fists. She thought it was just so she would have street smarts to protect her in New York. Her Uncle though had another suspicion that she would run into great trouble with the things she could do. He had read a legend to her, explaining what she could do in the end. Liviana finally got answers. Only her Uncle, Brother, and friend, Sarah, knew what she could do. Her parents had quickly gotten over the fact of the gold in her eyes the day she was born as if they had been brainwashed.
When she turned 15, a month after her birthday, her parents disappeared. She didn't know what happened, how it was even possible. They just weren't home. The police seemed to be on it and Raj and Liviana were sent to live with their Uncle.
Now she's 16, nothing happening so far... yet. ;)
Location: New York, USA
Family: James Valeria (Father) (view spoiler)
Sari Valeria (Mother) (view spoiler)
Raj Talon Valeria (brother) (view spoiler)
Jai Riv Valeria (Uncle) (view spoiler)
Personality: There's three sides to Liviana. You have her New Yorker attitude who can be a little cocky and sarcastic. Growing up, she realized you just can't be a total softie. She has a good heart though and always comes through with a smile, unless you piss her off. She IS NOT HESITANT... to kick your ass. Got to warn you. Her Uncle always encouraged her to fight for what she wants and she will pull through with it. She is very reserved at first and suspcious of people's intents, especially since her Uncle drilled that into her. She knows the more mystery there is about you, the more advantage there is in anything. In a fight, she doesn't hold back and will play dirty if you do first. Though she doesn't really like it because her mother taught her to always be the better person which she finds hard to do sometimes. She finds that she can't carry someone's else dead weight and developed a habit of being a lone wolf though if you put her in a group, her leadership skills come out. She got them from her father.
Then there's her loyal side. Her gold heart leads to this. She will aways be there for her friends unless something really bad is in the way. Then she'll have to deal with that first don't you think? She is caring and will lie if she sees that it will do good and keep someone safe. She thinks though it's stupid when people say it's going to be ok, and it really isn't. She does give people a chance and is good with profiling people in her mind for she is sharp and likes to think outside the box. She likes to take things into perspective to know what/who she is working with.
Then there are her flaws. Yes, she has them. She can be really naive due to her inexperience of the world since she never really had to use them in any big situation. She rushes into things without thinking solidly first sometimes and even her street smarts can fail her. She lets rage blind her when it comes to these things for her emotion control sometimes isn't very stable. She pushes herself hard and keeps pushing to the limit and sometimes past it because she has the impression from her father and uncle that everything has to be right. If something drastic happens, she would think it was her fault for not pushing herself.

Name: Kai Aaron JohannsenGender: male
Age: 15
Morality: Hero
Alias: Chamaeleon
Kai can copy other people's powers by touching them. This has limits, though. He only keeps the copied power for three hours. Also, he has to train a bit to keep whatever power it is under control.
So far, this extends only to super powers, but in time he will be able to copy other characteristics as well (intelligence, strength, knowledge of fighting, etc), for three hours, too.
If he keeps skin contact with people, he can copy their power almost endlessly. This could also be used to amplify the powers of others. Think flamethrower times two, if the two of them work together.
Kai's problem is that without other people with super powers around he's pretty much helpless. Also, he can't turn his power off, which means that every time he comes in contact with a super, he will copy their power. As he can't control it immediately, this makes him very dangerous, which is why he tries not to touch people in the first place.
Appearance:

Hair Color: blonde curls
Eye Color: hazel
Body Type:: Small, childish
Distinctive Feature: He always wears long-sleeved clothes and even gloves to cover all his skin. A bonus is that the long sleeves hide the scars he has on his forearms.
History: Kai grew up as an only-child in a small town. His parents loved him, they lived in a nice house in a nice neighborhood and he had a lot of friends. Until the end of elementary school.
Before that, he was outgoing and fun and always surrounded by people. He had a great circle of friends and no hesitations whatsoever to make new ones.
There were always some strange things happening around him, though. When he asked his mother she said that it had started as long back as kindergarten.
One day he came home from kindergarten, saying he could "see through things". His mother wrote this off as fantasy, until he told her where exactly his birthday presents were hidden, where a secret safe was in their house and that there was a dog buried under the tree in their garden, probably from the people who had lived in the house before. His mother almost got a heart attack, but as whatever it was that caused her son to behave so strange vanished after a few hours, she never mentioned it to anyone.
Kai later remembered that he had played with a new kid that morning, a girl that had her first day at kindergarten. She also said that she could see through walls, which didn't strike him as strange at that time.
The next incident happened at the end of first grade. Because he was smaller than other boys his age, he soon became a victim of bullying from a boy in fourth grade. His former friends had gone to another school and nobody stood up for him. Kai was repeatedly ambushed after school and beaten up, though he never mentioned this to his parents or teachers. Until the day he fought back. In the course of this, he managed to throw the guy who bullied him and his two friends onto the roof of the school, from which they had to be rescued by firemen. Nobody could explain how it had happened and when a doctor checked Kai and could find nothing, people did everything to forget the event. Nevertheless he gained the respect of the whole school and everybody suddenly wanted to be friends with him. That kind of fame followed him even until high school, even though he didn't want it anymore then. Kai never found out where he had gotten his sudden strength from.
Those two occurences were the only times people noticed that something could be wrong with him. There were other signs, though, after which Kai began to suspect that there was something different about him.
There was one time when he shook hands with people after he won a spelling contest. When he had gone home and gone to bed, he woke up half an hour later to find himself floating under the ceiling.
Another time he accidentally brushed a woman's arm on the street and suddenly he could move things with his thoughts.
A few more less notably things happened, but he could only be sure about his powers when he met his best friend in fourth grade. His name was Kevin.
Kevin had just transferred schools, although he wouldn't tell anybody why. The other children whispered about him and someone rumor had it he had been expelled.
Of course Kai, with his friendly nature, didn't let himself be scared and talked to the new guy anyway. Kai showed him the school, they sat together during the break and after school they exchanged their numbers and addresses.
By that time his parents had forgotten all about the incident with the bullies and started to trust him again. They even let him make food for himself because some days they had to work late. The same was true for the day he met Kevin. Only, when he tried to use the stove, he somehow managed to set the whole thing on fire, setting half the kitchen aflame. He was able to extinguish the mess with a sofa blanket and didn't even call the police or the firemen. Instead he called Kevin.
As soon as Kai told his new friend that he'd had fire shooting out of his hands, everything was obvious. They met the same afternoon and Kevin showed him what he could do by setting fire to a bush in a remote part of the woods. They experimented a bit and discovered how Kai's power worked. They found out about the time limit and Kevin taught Kai how to use his ability as a flame thrower. He also told him how he had ended up switching schools. In third grade he had accidentally set fire to his old school's library. Nobody could prove a thing, but as everybody was suspicious and the other students were scared of him, his parents had him transferred.
Kai and Kevin became inseperable. They had finally found someone to share their secrets with and already planned on going to high school together. These dreams should never come true.
At the end of fourth grade, Kai's parents had lifted his house arrest and apparently forgiven him for scorching the kitchen, so he was allowed to have a sleep-over at Kevin's. They watched horror movies all night and fell asleep some time near dawn.
When Kai woke up, it must have been about an hour later. The whole house was on fire. He tried to wake Kevin, who was sleeping on his bed next to him, but he wouldn't move. Kai literally dragged him onto the street, screaming for help all the way, which woke up Kevin's parents.
The firemen were alerted, but before they even arrived the parents noticed that their daughter was missing. Kai didn't think about it twice, but ran back inside to the little girl's room. He could avert the flames a bit because he had copied Kevin's power when he'd brought him outside, but he still got some serious burns. All three kids were brought to a hospital.
Kai's wounds were treated and a few months later they were healed, even though he kept the scars. Kevin's two years younger sister, Susan, survived too. Kevin died from smoke inhalation.
Kai never found any proof, but he was sure he was responsible for the fire. After the horror movies he'd had nightmares and in his dream had used fire, with which he had been practicing for months after all, to defend himself. Because he had slept on a mattress on the floor, the smoke hadn't gotten to him as fast as to Kevin and also the fact that his sister survived seemed to indicate that the fire had started in Kevin's room.
Loosing his best friend changed Kai completely. He no longer thought the world was all sunny and fun and he also began to think of his powers as horrible. Kai started to wear gloves and long-sleeved shirts, even in summer and kept away from people as much as possible, in fear of loosing control. He became an outsider at school. Kai considers the scars from the fire as reminder of how dangerous he can be.
He tries to make up for what he did by standing up for other people. Because of his height this usually doesn't go well for him and it ends with him being beaten up. His parents don't even ask anymore when he comes home with bruises or a black eye.
Location: Berlin, Germany
Family:
mother: Martina Johanssen
father: Robert Johanssen
Personality:
His outgoing, naive self changed drastically after the accident with the fire. Now Kai tries to stay away from everyone and everything, in case someone has secret super powers. His greatest fear is to accidentally touch someone who can do things like let lasers shoot from their eyes. He is a social recluse and only dares to talk to his old friends from elementary school because he knows they have no powers. Because he is so strange, even they stay away, though.
Kai has become a rather shy and secretive person. He is the one hiding in a corner with a book instead of sitting with others at lunch. Because he has few to no friends, he also doesn't get out much and spends most of his time learning, which is why he is pretty good at school. He also learned how to play piano.
Kai is also a pretty good liar. He has to be, because he had to find a way to skip his sport lessons at school. They're his worst nightmare. Alone the thought of basket ball, where people bump against each other and tackle each other to the ground... So Kai pretended to have a severe case of asthma. It took him some months of convincing to make sure his parents and the doctors believed him, but it ended with him getting a free pass for sports. Kai tends to lie a lot in general. When someone asks why he always wears long sleeves, he tells them it's to cover up the scars - even though he invents a new story of how he got them every time. He is almost a compulsive liar.
Also, he is not the goody-goody guy everybody thinks he is. Some nights he sneaks out of his room (mostly when he had nightmares again) to go to the local bath and swim. He doesn't dare to do this when it is officially open, in fear he will touch people (which, you have to admit, it very likely when everybody is just wearing swimsuits). That's why he is pretty good at picking locks, too. That's one thing he doesn't get a bad conscience from. Water in general is something he likes because it is such a big contrast to fire.
Most people at his school think he's just another nerd because he's always studying and so good at school. That's why they tried to bully him. They quickly realized that he could not be bullied, though. Kai has so many problems that he doesn't care if people try to make him think there is another one, when there it is just something unimportant, like him being good at school or his height, which he can't change anyway. His pretending to not care about anyone, has made it become true, but under his cold outer shell, he is just weak and scared, for others and himself. Even the relationship with his parents suffered because he really keeps out everybody.
He wants to become a scientist later to find out what gives him his power. He is curious in general as to what triggers some people to develop super powers. If he ever sees someone using a power, you can be sure he won't leave them alone.

[UNDER CONSTRUCTION]Name: Marlana (Mar-lay-nah) Lyn Ryder
Nickname- Mar or Lana
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Date of Birth- October 24th
Morality: In a nutshell, she does whatever she feels like doing. It's really as simple as that.
Hero/Villain/Other- It really depends who you ask. Mar doesn't do well in teams. Actually, she just doesn't do teamwork, period. She also has a bit more of a harsher opinion when it comes to the punishments people deserve. She's not a murderer or anything, and she doesn't hurt innocent people, but if someone has personally wronged her, she wouldn't be opposed to dangling them off of a building for a while. Or even better, letting them drop and catching them just before they hit the ground. She is very creative when it comes to torture.
Alias: Motus Flower (Motus means movement in Latin)
Supernatural Abilities- Telekinesis: It works best with things that she would physically be able to pick up, but she can move larger things too, it's just much harder to control and drains a lot of strength.
Appearance:
Hair Color- Brown
Eye Color- Green
Body Type- Tall, relatively slim and a little curvy. She's stronger than she looks.
Distinctive Feature: Her forest green eyes.
Disguise: She doesn't always have it with her, but Marlana is quite fond of her full body black suit. It's not enough to just have supernatural abilities, she has to look the part too. She always carries her gloves with her though. They are red red and go almost to her elbows. Her power is concentrated in her hands and any damage to them weakens her ability, so she likes to keep them protected. The gloves don't dull her power at all.
Equipment- Mar likes to carry a pair of daggers and a coil of black rope around her waist with her when she fights. The rope often proves to be more helpful than the daggers.
History: Marlana grew up in a happy home. She loved her parents, Anthony and Jocelyn Ryder, and she always looked up to her older brothers, Jack and Lincoln. Sure, they had their problems like any other average family, but they were also a lot closer than the average family. They spent a lot of time together and were open about everything. There were no secrets in their house. Mar’s parents always told their children what has going on and they were very much a part of Mar, Jack, and Lincoln’s life. Lincoln, being the oldest of the three, didn’t always appreciate this level of intimacy, but he loved his family nonetheless. Mar never imagined anything could go wrong with her perfect family.
Marlana never really got along with the other girls at school. Her family was rather well-off and her nicer clothes and the shiny beige convertible that her mom picked her up in made her an easy target for the other girls. Her mother encouraged her to join the Girl Scouts and other school activities, but Marlana was always too worried about being picked on. She was too shy and timid to stand up to the bullies at school, but eventually, after all of her mother’s prodding, she joined the Girl Scouts. It didn’t go very well. One day when she was nine, the girls at school were being particularly nasty and Mar came home crying. Her protective older brothers automatically came to her rescue. They, like any other older siblings, teased her and messed with her and generally drove her up the wall, but when push came to shove, they had her back. Anyone who made their little sister cry needed to be taught a lesson. Jack and Lincoln marched Marlana to her troop meeting the next day and stayed until it was over. The entire time, they talked loudly about how they loved taking kickboxing lessons and going hunting with their father and just being all around tough guys. It was all false, but most of the girls in Mar’s troop were thoroughly impressed by her brothers. The small posse of girls who bullied her was convinced enough by their bad boy routine that they backed off and stopped bothering Marlana.
After the bullying stopped, Marlana’s life continued as normal. Until the day she discovered her powers. It was in the middle of eighth grade. She was at home alone one Saturday afternoon, watching a movie, when the disk froze. She got up and walked over to take out the DVD, but as she was reaching up to grab it, the ground began to shake. It was a minor earthquake, but it was enough to unbalance the large TV stand. Marlana fell backwards onto the ground and instinctively put up her hands to stop the stand as it fell towards her. The television stand was just inches from her hands when it stopped moving. It was just suspended in mid-air. Mar was able to wriggle out from underneath, but the second she lowered her hands, the stand dropped. She told her parents about the minor tremor and she’d heard a crash from her room and came out to find that the TV stand had toppled over. They were just glad that she wasn’t hurt. After that incident, Marlana began testing her powers and seeing how far she could push herself.
The real tragedy struck during spring break of her freshman year. Jack was a junior and Lincoln was a freshman at the University of Washington and Lee. Marlana’s father was having some issues with a client at work. He worked for a highly successful loan business and as a result, had to deal with a good deal of unhappy customers who took more than they could give back. One client in particular kept coming back. The man insisted the company was fraudulent and threatened to take them to court. It was Marlana’s father who he directed most of his complaints to. When Anthony told him that there was no way that he could win this case, the man turned his threats away from the company and towards Anthony personally.
Marlana’s dad didn’t take any of this man’s threats seriously, but he probably should have. One night, after everyone had gone to bed, a small fire started in their kitchen. It spread quickly and quietly through the house and soon reached the second story. Jocelyn was the first person to smell the smoke and wake up. She woke up her husband and her kids and got them all out of the house. Lincoln had just called the fire department when Marlana realized that Jack wasn’t with them. He had the attic room and in the panic of gathering the necessities and getting out of the burning house, they had forgotten to check if he was with them. Despite her parent’s frantic requests, Marlana ran back into the house. She managed to make her way upstairs and found Jack lying under a part of the wall that had collapsed. He was still conscious, but barely. Mar used her ability to lift the wreckage of the wall off of him. Jack looked up at her, obviously shocked by what he had just seen her do, but he didn’t have any time to ask her about it before he blacked out. Marlana dragged her brother downstairs and collapsed onto the front lawn just as the ambulance and fire department arrived.
Jack and Marlana were both rushed to the hospital, but they both walked away without too much damage. Jack had minor burns on his back and hands and Marlana suffered from some smoke inhalation. It was a week after the fire that Jack finally confronted his sister about what she had done back at the house. Marlana decided it was time to sit her family down and tell them all about it. Long story short, they didn’t take it very well. Her parents didn’t say anything to her face, but they were clearly scared of her power and distanced themselves more and more from her. Jack and Lincoln were the ones who were supportive of her. Marlana's relationship with her parents deteriorated and she ended up moving in with Lincoln until she was old enough to get a place of her own.

Name: Kadeth Zachary Andrew StoneNickname- Kade, but only if he gives you permission to call him that.
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Date of Birth- March 1st
Morality: He has a solid sense of right and wrong. Whether he actually does what's right is a completely different matter, but whatever he does, he does because he believes it's the right thing to do.
Hero/Villain/Other- He's one of the good guys. He has a dark past, but tries not to let that effect his everyday life. He's trying to stay in the light although the darkness can be extremely tempting sometimes.
Alias: The Generator
Supernatural Abilities- Energy Manipulation: Kadeth can absorb and condense or dispel energy from almost any source. His eyes flash golden whenever he uses his power. There is a limit to how much he can absorb and still be in control. If he exceeds this limit, eventually his body rejects and releases all of the energy that is stored up, which leaves him really weak and can be dangerous to those in close proximity to him. He has a higher metabolism than ordinary humans and his body burns off energy quickly, which means he eats more but tends to sleep less.
Appearance:
Hair Color- Dark Brown
Eye Color- Blue
Body Type- Lean, moderately muscular
Distinctive Feature: The tattoo that covers his entire back. He got it to cover the scars. It's a list of quotes and Kadeth memorized each and every one.
(view spoiler)
Disguise: Kadeth doesn't really have one, although he always makes sure to wear well insulated shoes and as a general rule, avoids clothing that is easily flammable. Dealing with energy can be unpredictable and it's better to be safe than sorry. The one thing he does carry around with him are his shades. His power tends to generate quite a lot of light.
Equipment- None.
History: Kadeth didn't have it easy growing up. He was born to parents Andrew and Kathryn Stone and was the youngest of the Siblings. His sister, Amelia, was only older than him by a year. From the outside, the Stones seemed like an average American family, but that wasn't case. Kadeth's parents were constantly fighting and arguing with one another, ever since he could remember. There was almost never a peaceful moment in their house. Eventually, when Kadeth was four, his parents got a divorce. His father took custody of him while his sister went to live with their mother.
After his parents split up, things got even worse. His father started drinking more and more. Andrew was a tall, intimidating man with a nasty temper and he didn't know what to do when his wife left him. He had no idea how to raise a child by himself. To him, Kadeth was just a pest who was always getting in the way. One day, when Andrew happened to be more drunk than usual, five-year old Kadeth came downstairs and asked his father to help him reach something on one of the higher shelves. Andrew completely lost it and hit him, sending him crashing into the coffee table. That was the first time his father had ever laid a hand on him, but it wouldn't be the last.
The abuse went on for years. Kadeth used to run and hide when he heard his father's car pull into the driveway, but that only made Andrew angrier when he found him. As Kadeth got older, he tried to stand his ground and fight back, but he couldn't contend with the strength of his dad. He became increasingly skilled at covering the cuts and bruises and his mother never suspected a thing when he went and visited her, but every time he came home, the abuse would start all over again. Kadeth was hospitalized a couple of times, but his father always came up with a story and Kadeth was too scared of him to deny it. He never told anyone about what his father did to him.
Kadeth first discovered his ability one night when he was twelve. His father had finally passed out on the couch and he dragged himself up to his room. He tripped on the way in and bumped into his lamp. As he caught it before it hit the ground, the light turned on. He figured he had just hit the switch accidentally and thought nothing of it until he went to put the lamp back in place and saw that it was unplugged. Kadeth tapped the bulb, wondering what the heck had just happened, but as soon as his finger made contact, the light went out again. He was a smart kid and it didn't take him long to figure that he could somehow absorb the light and then expel it again. Over the next few months, Kadeth experimented with his new found powers and found that he could absorb practically any energy and convert it as well. He also discovered that it was incredibly difficult to control.
About a year later, Kadeth had a few assignments to make up and he came home a little later than normal. To his surprise, his father was already home. And he was already drunk. Very drunk. Kadeth found out that his father had lost his job. He was about to slip quietly up to his room but Andrew grabbed him by the back of his shirt and spun him around, pinning him against the wall. He began yelling about how worthless and useless Kadeth was and how the divorce was his fault and that all of the punishments and abuse were because he deserved it. Andrew grabbed him by the throat, cutting off his air supply. Kadeth struggled, but it was no use. He really believed his father was going to kill him this time. Without even thinking about it, he released all of the energy he had stored up. All of the glass in the house shattered and both Andrew and Kadeth collapsed. He woke up in the hospital the next morning to find his mother and sister standing by his bed. They told him that his father was dead. Nobody could explain quite what happened to the house, but Kadeth wasn't put under any suspicion. When the police and the ambulance finally arrived at the house, they found glass shards everywhere and the walls slightly scorched. Andrew and Kadeth were found lying on the living room floor. Andrew was confirmed dead immediately, but Kadeth was still breathing.
After the incident, Kadeth moved in with his mother and sister. He ended up telling them all about what his father did to him and he went to counseling for it. His life with his mother and sister was significantly better. He ended up telling Amelia about his powers and she was obviously shocked a first, but overall she took it pretty well. He has never told anyone about the real cause of his father's death.

Personality: Kadeth has two very distinct sides to his personality. The first is the person he was for the majority of his life when he was living with his father. That is still very much a part of him, even though all of that is in the past. He hates violence of any kind, especially directed to those who can't defend himself like he couldn't defend himself from his father. At times, Kadeth is practically incapacitated by the guilt that came from killing his father. It's not exactly something that's easy to forget. He worries constantly that someone will find out what he did, even though that's highly unlikely. What worries him even more is that he will end up like his father. Kadeth does have a bit of a temper, but due to his aversion to violence, it never amounts to anything serious. He has this constant fear that he'll do something drastic or make a decision that will either ruin his life or somebody else's. This naturally makes him very indecisive and he wonders whether he is making the right choices in life. Kadeth may act like he has everything under control and that he has gotten over all of the childhood abuse, but he isn't.
The other side of Kadeth is the person he became after going through all of that hardship. In some ways he is still weak, but in other ways he has grown much stronger. He is no longer that timid, submissive person he once was. He's now able to stand up for himself and for others. He has become his own individual person, not just his father's punchbag. Kadeth never wants to be that scared or powerless again. The good thing is that he can only get better.
Kadeth isn't naturally a very open person, his dad abused him for eight years and he never said a word. Most people automatically assume that he is a very introverted person, but that's no the case. He's friendly and likes talking to people, but he's not about to vomit his entire life story onto every new person he meets. It takes a while for him to gain enough trust in people to let them in, and even then, he doesn't tell them about his past. He can count the number of people who know all about his history on one hand. Kadeth is a reliable guy, but he hates having to rely on other people. It's not because he sees himself as better on anything like that, he just doesn't like being indebted to others in case he can't follow through. There is always the possibility that he may let someone down and hates disappointing others. Consequently, Kadeth has a tendency to try to do everything on his own and often ends up biting of more than he can chew. He's not one to ask for help, he's more of a suffer in silence type.
Of course Kadeth has some issues as far as relationships with other people go, but so few people know the real him that it's easy to keep all of that hidden and bottled up. Showing weakness just makes you an easy target and that's the last thing he wants to be.

Body Type Wispy Thin with long graceful limbs and fingers. She's tall but not in a menacing way, more of a motherly way.
Distinctive Feature: She is pale white all around from her hair to her skin tone. She also wears a white cloth around her eyes so others may not see her eyes.
Disguise: She wears a white hooded cloak with a silver clasp in the shape of a rose. Underneath the cloak she wears a white dress with a slit up the sides near the legs so she can move around and run. She keeps the white cloth around her eyes.
Equipment The cane she usually uses to walk around comes apart in a small "sword" that is really just a piece of sharp metal on the end of her cane that is held inside a plastic "sheath", but she hardly ever uses it because her main weapon is her "eyes" and that usually disarms them quite easily.
History:
Lily was born in Gevaudan to her parents Jacques and Bellatroix Violet. Unfortunately, when Lily was born, her eyes were rather odd. Instead of seeing any whites of her eyes, the doctors found that her eyes were completely black. Not only that, after a nurse looked directly into her eyes, she found that she had gone completely blind and nearly dropped the newborn before she handed it off to someone else. After about fifteen minutes, her sight returned, but she never went near the babe again. The doctors hurried the family out of the hospital as quickly as possible before the baby could cause any more... problems. The parents realized after a time that they couldn't look their child in the eye lest they suffer the same fate as the nurse. A few incidents occurred where they did between the day she got home and her sixth birthday. Once she turned six, she realized she could turn "off" the ability to blind people, but it didn't work every time so she tried not to look people in the eye. At the age of eight, she looked her mother in the eye after she was bullied and her mother felt it inside of her. Each and every hit. She didn't look her daughter in the eye for a long time after that.
Lily went to school like a normal child. Although she was blind, the school provided braille books so she could learn with the rest of the class. The kinder students read books aloud to her during study breaks. The bullies in the school snapped her cane in half and tripped her. Eventually she learned to "accidentally" hit them with her cane if they tried to trip her. They stopped after the first few whacks.
When Lily turned nine, her mother gave Lily her first blindfold, a scarlet piece of cloth that contrasted sharply with her appearance. The next year she got the white silk blindfold that she currently wears.
When she turned eleven, Coraline was born. Her father, Jacques, kept Coraline as far away from Lily as possible. He didn't want Lily "tainting" the perfect daughter. When Coraline turned six and Lily turned 17, however, he left them alone and Coraline took Lily's blindfold off while she slept. The movement woke her and she looked into Coraline's eyes, sending the nightmare she had directly into her. She felt awful for doing it and didn't want to, but it happened. Her sister was found by her mother lying on the floor in the corner of the room, her eyes open wide and sucking on her thumb. She knew it was Lily.
Location: Gevaudan, France
Family: She has a sister, Coraline age 6, who does not speak with her because she looked into Lily's eyes once while Lily was sad. She is now scared of Lily, but Lily adores Coraline and dotes on her like a mother.
Her father knows that Lily can do "things" with her eyes and he dislikes her more and more every day for it. He knows that she is the reason that Coraline talks less and is shy.
Her mother is the only one that talks to Lily really. She understands that it is not Lily's fault she was born like that. She was the one who suggested she cover eyes; Lily is already blind so covering them doesn't hurt her.
Personality:
From the day she was born, Lily was constantly trying to make up for the fact that she was blind by sort of pretending she wasn't. She'd talk to people normally, use her cane as little as possible, and try out for things that normally require sight. You would not believe how many times she fell off the stage while performing a musical. The audience loved it or got scared every time, but she didn't mind. A bump, a bruise and she'd be back up on that stage doing her stuff! Unfortunately, sports weren't as lenient with "blind-friendly" activities. Anything involving a flying ball was instantly vetoed by the school board because she was a hazard/lawsuit waiting to happen. Running track was banned because she kept going into other people's lanes and wrestling was just too difficult for such a thin wispy girl. The only sport she was able to do was cross country in the fall. She even refused to have a "blind runner" with a rope to guide her because she thought it was cheating. Her first race was of course really awkward for her and others because she left the course and got lost in the woods. That was a real hoot and she got last to boot, but she didn't care because she was running! That was also three years ago and she's a lot better about it now!
Lily loves to make others smile. It is really very easy to make another person laugh and giggle and smile and feel great about themselves. Lily will make fun of her paleness, her height, her near see-through arms, anything really if it'll get a laugh out of the person or at the least, a smile. The reason she loves to make others feel as good inside as she's sure they look on the outside (once again, she can't really SEE how they look) is because she knows what inner turmoil is like. Being blind is scary. There's noises and smells and feels all around her that she can't point to or point out and everything's just dark. It's the equivalent of shutting off all the lights including the sun at once... permnaently. It's freaky as hell at times! She'll just be walking along, swishing her cane back and forth, her mind focused intently on something and BAM! she's at a crosswalk and a car almost hits her. It's scary being blind at times. The only time she can see is in her nightmares; there are black-and-white shapes just littering the dream world and sometimes they take form and attack her and drag her away and throw her off high buildings and...
she doesn't like talking about this. No more dream descriptions.
Lily sees herself as a sort of makeshift mother for others. After dinner, she'll clean up the dishes and take them to the kitchen and wash them all so that the people around her can get back to their busy lives. She'll clean the house, make Coraline's bed if she hasn't already, pack her sister a lunch for school, make supper if it isn't made yet, anything to help around the house. Coraline won't acknowledge most of the things Lily does though. She sees it's done and knows Lily does it, but she doesn't say anything. She's still scared of her since "that day". Her mother thanks her at times though, but her thanks is usually bittersweet. It's nice that she's saying thank you, but her voice is usually tired and weary and tear-broken. It's strange. It's like her mother doesn't want her to be pushing herself so hard. Huh... Anyway, Lily loves to do these things for others; it makes them happy, it makes her happy.
The way Lily speaks is often looked on as strange. Her voice is lilting and soft, not as high-pitched as some girls, but definitely not man-like. It sort of reminds you of something you might hear from an elf or some sort of high society lady (something she is NOT). It's gentle and motherly and caring and it shows her personality perfectly. It's like a loud whisper, like a cloud swimming across an ocean of soft burbling streams. Even if she's yelling at you, it sounds like she's singing you a love song. Beautiful, soft, gentle...

Strengths
♀ Her other senses are well-heightened because she is blind. This allows her to "see" through sounds and smells.
♀ She is great at dodging things. She's been dodging cars and traffic and others her whole life and her sense of hearing helps her "sense" things coming at her.
♀ She doesn't really care what people think of her anymore. She's had EVERY insult imaginable thrown at her for being blind and practically "albino" so they don't even sting anymore. In fact, she has an entire store of emotions willing and ready to be flung out.
Weaknesses
↨ Well, she's blind. So she can't really see anything. That's usually a problem for most people.
↨ Unless technology is speaking to her, she can barely use it because most technology is vision-dependent. Look at a computer. How is she supposed to know where her "mouse" icon is?
↨ Too caring. THis is a weakness because she will "sacrifice" herself to save others. Examples include throwing herself in the way of a bully to protect a friend, shoving a woman out of the way of a bus at the expense of her first cane, and sacrificing any chance she had sight so others wouldn't become blind or broken from her emotions.

His parents were sure to teach both he and his sister Italian, French and English so that by the time they were ten they were fluent in all three. He first learned of his “gift” as some would call it or “curse” as others would, when he was thirteen and he saw his sister, Annalisa, being bullied. He was so angry he lost all of his control; next thing he knew everything around him had stopped. Since it was his first time accessing his abilities he was only able to freeze time for ten seconds before blacking out, but it had been long enough for him to notice what had happened. He woke up in the nurse’s office at the school, completely confused as to what had happened. When the nurse explained to him that he had been found unconscious in the middle of the hallway and been rushed to her office, everything that had happened rushed back to him. He was scared and confused but knew better than tell the nurse what had happened, so he lied and said he couldn’t remember anything, after that he was sent home. Slade had always been close to his parents and sister so as soon as he saw them he broke down and told them everything.
His sister was the only one that actually believed him, but even she seemed hesitant to do so. His parents thought he’d gone crazy and immediately made him an appointment with a psychiatrist, hoping the man would just tell them their son had an overactive imagination, and that’s exactly what happened. Thanks to the reassuring words of the psychiatrist Slade’s parents relaxed and simply ignored him when he tried to tell him that he hadn’t imagined what had happened, that he hadn’t just thought the clock stopped but that it actually had. When Slade turned fourteen he was tired of his parents ignoring what he was telling them and lost his temper. He yelled and screamed, telling them that what he was telling them was the truth. Soon he learned that not only had he been tired of being ignored but his parents were tired of his constant badgering. He and his father ended up in a heated argument which even caused his father to raise his hand to hit him. Slade’s eye grew wide in fear as his father’s hand made its way towards his cheek, but half way to its destination his father’s hand froze. Slade’s brow furrowed and he looked around to see that the clock was still ticking and his sister was still crying but his father remained unmoving. His mother watched in shock as she witnessed the exactly what her son had been talking about. It only was a few seconds before Slade felt his father’s hand against his cheek, but he didn’t care, he knew that his mother finally believed him. Jacqueline took her husband’s arm and led him away to their room where she explained what had happened. Slade simply remained on the ground with his cheek throbbing as his sister ran to his side.
It took days of pleading before his father believed he and his mother, but instead of being there to help him like he’d hoped, his father accused him of being possessed by the devil. Jacqueline had eventually put her foot down when her husband said they needed to call a priest and have an exorcism. Slade’s mother and sister protected him from his father’s accusations and disgusted looks but that didn’t ease the guilt he felt for being such a disappointment to his father, even if he couldn’t control any of what was happening. As the years passed his parents started arguing more about him, it took till he was seventeen before they split up. Both Slade and his sister went with their mother and they lived happily for a little less than a year before Jacqueline was killed during a mugging. They were instantly sent back to Paris, as they were still minors, to live with their father. It was a dreadful few months filled with hateful words and cold glares, but as soon as they turned eighteen Slade and Annalisa were out of there and got a place to stay on their own. Annalisa had gotten her acceptance to Julliard several months before hand and when the time came she left Slade behind as she went to New York. Slade hadn’t even bothered applying to college so he simply got a job as a bartender at a local tavern. He missed his sister but she was doing well with her life so he wasn’t going to ask her to come back. He and Annalisa made sure to talk at least three times a week and during their little talks Annalisa had somehow convinced Slade to try and control his abilities. He started practicing with it, slowly increasing the amount of time he could freeze things for, he even used his gifts to save a woman’s life one night. He started to view his abilities as more than a curse and finally accepted them as a part of him. Four months after Annalisa leaving he lost all contact with her. He tried calling only to find her number had been disconnected, he emailed her only to get no response and he even called the school asking about her but even though he was family they refused to tell him anything. The only thing left for him to do was fly to New York and track her down.

Slade Quinn is gorgeous. That really is all that needs to be said. Slade isn't just hot or cute, he is, to put it simply, beautiful. He has a head of thick, ink black hair that is soft and silky to the touch and is often un-cared for and in a messy state, but he pulls it off perfectly. He has a toned body that isn't overly muscular but is a lean sort of tone. Every inch of his tan, six foot two body is made up of muscle, not a single ounce of fat covers his body. He has a strong jaw line that is lined in stubble that gives him a look of maturity. His light pink lips are fuller than most boys but still don't look feminine. His eyelashes are that of what girls would kill for with them being long and lush. But the feature that stands out the most are his eyes. They are not a blue or green that most people wish they had but they are a mix of all shades of brown and green making a beautiful hazel color that seems to constantly change.

Distinctive Feature:
-A tattoo on his back, between his shoulder blades saying: Time Controls No Man
-A tattoo across his chest saying: Maître du Temps

Personality:
Slade is what you’d call an introvert; he doesn’t speak much and when he does his words are usually short and to the point. He is more of a listener; Slade is the guy in the shadows who is silent and goes unnoticed as he listens to everything around him. He is the opposite of what you’d want for a bartender; he doesn’t smile, he doesn’t care about your problems and he most definitely doesn’t want to give you words of wisdom. Slade keeps to himself and really has no friends and that’s simply because he doesn’t trust anyone with the secret of his ability and he won’t have friends that he lies to, leaving him with the only option of not having any friends which he is perfectly fine with. His face is usually void of any emotion unless he is with his sister or he is scowling. He scowls so much that regulars at bar will say “why are you Slading?” whenever someone else is scowling. Slade may sound like he would be rude but usually he is generally nice, well, as nice as a secretive guy who never smiles and doesn’t care about anybody’s problems can be. He is quite blunt and sometimes people like it, finding his honesty refreshing, but sometimes people find his comments unnecessarily cruel. Whenever people tell him he is being harsh he simply shrugs and says “the truth is harsh, get over it.” Slade is the type of person that will never lie, even if it means saying nothing at all, he will not resort to lying. That’s why if you don’t think you can handle the truth, you really shouldn’t go to Slade.
Slade is as pessimistic as they come. When he meets people he automatically notices the bad in them or at least expects there to be more bad than good. He doesn’t have much, if any, hope for humanity, he is just waiting for the human race to be the cause of its own destruction. He usually gets highly irritated when he is around optimists because he thinks their way of thinking his stupid and illogical. Slade gets irritated and annoyed easily and he doesn’t bother trying to hide it, but he isn’t quick to anger. You can try all you want but it’s extremely hard to make Slade angry, but don’t take that as a challenge…Slade will probably kill you if you do make him angry. He is normally a pretty calm person but once he is mad it’s like all he sees is red and he can be extremely violent and unpredictable.
Slade is a very cautious person, especially when it comes to his ability, hence the watch and sunglasses. The glasses are to stop him from freezing someone accidently if for some reason he loses control of his anger and the watch is for when he is using his abilities and he needs to time himself (if he is wearing the watch it will still run when time is frozen, but he has to reset it back to the correct time afterwards.) Slade isn’t exactly a curious person, well, he isn’t curious at all. He has no interest what-so-ever in things that don’t involve himself or his family, but when it does concern any of the Quinns he will do whatever it takes to learn everything he needs to know. Slade absolutely despises being in the dark about something involving himself or those he cares about. He is a very stubborn fellow and it’s not that he doesn’t realize he is wrong when he is, it’s just he refuses to admit it; his pride gets in the way of that. Slade had always been close to his family, he used to always laugh and smile with his mum and sister and they would even coax him into making friends. After the death of his mother he pushed the friends he had made away and closed himself off from others; the only one who can even get him to smile anymore is Annalisa. Even after everything he went through Slade still loves his father; he doesn’t feel any hatred towards the man that hates him so much. Slade can easily be called an overprotective big brother; trust me, you do not want to mess with Annalisa if you value your life. Ever since his sister went off to New York on her own he has been more tense and high-strung, worrying about her safety and now that he can’t get in contact with her at all he has been more rigid than ever, if he doesn’t find Annalisa soon he will probably snap.

{History}
The earliest memories Nemo has of his past are fond ones, full of joy and a peace that seemed as if it would last forever. Nemo may not have been born to the wealthiest family or the most interesting family for that matter, but that didn't matter, to him everything was perfect just the way it was. Nemo's parents were a young couple, full of compassion and life with always a smile to spare, anyone who ever met them would agree that they were a sweet couple with golden hearts. His mother was a school teacher, and every day the students would leave school with a grin on their face, and people would wander how she did it. Nemo's father on the other hand was an author, he had been working on his first book in Rome when he met Nemo's mother who had been traveling with two friends at the time. They fell in love almost instantly, it was one of those rare moments in life where you find love at first sight in action. Later they are living in Italy with a small boy of there own, everything seemed perfect, life was almost like a fairytale story. As the saying goes though, nothing lasts forever, not even this.
It had been a warm summer day, a day you could write poetry about, a day that was as perfect as any other. It was on this day that the family had chosen to take a picnic at the park, Nemo was only seven at the time, a cheerful young boy that could make anyone smile. Nemo remembers each moment of that particular day clearly; the soft laughter, the warmth happiness, the loving smiles of his parents, everything until the moment everything changed. Nemo had been in the shallow portion of the pond feeding ducks, his parents up the hill under a tree, they sat in eachother's arms as they gazed up at the clouds. No one really expected anything to happen, there were no warning signs, perhaps if there was things could have been different. Something had caught Nemo's young eyes and picked his interest, it was a small rabbit that happened to hop on by. Without a second thought Nemo followed the little rabbit into the forest in an futile attempt to catch it, at the moment his parents didn't notice their son wandering off, but it only took a single moment.
Standing only a small bit within the forest Nemo knew something was wrong, like a shroud of malice had suddenly blanketed the day. Nemo stopped in his tracks, the rabbit escaping his clutches, turned and ran. He ran, back to the park, back to the the pond, back to the hill, back to where his parents were. How terrible it is to know that it was the smallest things, the tiniest differences that can mean the different between life and death. Perhaps if his parents have noticed him wandering off things might not have gone the way they had, or perhaps if Nemo had never followed the rabbit, or what if they decided not to go to the park as Nemo had begged them to that morning, perhaps that would have made all the difference. Nemo heard the shot rang through the air and then everything seemed to go silent. It was a sight that would be burned into Nemo's mind forever, like a horrible scar that would never go away. It's strange how much things can change in merely a moment, a moment before the couple sat there and gentle laughter had filled the air, but now that was replaced by a horrendous scene. There they laid in each others arms, motionless. A sticky red liquid oozed down from their head, an ignorant smile painted on both their faces; they never saw it coming, no one did. Nemo felt it, like a hand had torn his heart straight from his chest, the pain was instant, it was a pain that would never fade away.
It was a man who had escaped by a near by mental institute, or something like that, Nemo could never quite remember that detail. Whatever the case, the man had shot both of Nemo's unsuspecting parents through the head, as well as a few other unfortunate people who had happened to be near the park on that particular day. Everything was silent to Nemo, everything was numb, time became irrelevant. There he was, the man stood there with the gun in hand and a deranged smile on his face, it was beyond sickening. The man saw the small boy suddenly stop and just stare, pulling up his gun the man aimed and shot. The bullet went straight through Nemo's chest, but it never hit it's target. As if Nemo was made of nothing but air itself the bullet flew through him without leaving a single mark. The man, thinking that Nemo was some sort of demon dropped his gun and turned to run. It was the shot that brought Nemo back to reality and the shock of feeling it go through him, and then all the emotion within him exploded all at ones in a frightening rage. he grabbed the gun from it's place on the ground, and in another moment Nemo was behind the man, like a flash of light. Three more shots ran through the air, and though Nemo had never shot a gun before, each hit it's target. The man dropped dead to the ground, three bullet holes in his back, each glistening with the color of red. Later people found him there, but after that everything was a blur. The pain, the numbness, the hatred, the agony, the loneliness, the people talking, the car ride; everything stopped seeming to matter.
A few days later Nemo woke up, not at his home, but in a foreign place. Then everything hit him and he remembered, all of it, down to the bullet going through him. Nemo even checked himself to see if there was any mark, but there wasn't, and with that he tried to toss it aside as nothing, just something his imagination had conjured up. Without any parents Nemo was sent to live with his Aunt and Uncle, his father's side, in Norway, as well as his five cousins. Nemo never much saw his relatives for numerous reasons, and though they tried to comfort him, he remained distant. Matters turned for the worst when the unpredictable happened, it began with the dreams. Horrible dreams, terrible, dark, morbid, stuff that would make you wake up in cold sweat. Slowly Nemo began to develop this new ability while he slept, though he himself was unaware that it was more then what he thought. It didn't take too very long for them to figure out what was happening, and soon they all became afraid of this boy, no longer was he their relative, but a horrid demon child. What do you expect though, they found him with the gun in his hand, something obviously was wrong with the child. Nemo, only the young age of eight, found himself on his own without a home. He did not understand what was happening, only that he was to blame. It wasn't very long before they found Nemo, and then after his only remaining relatives refused to take him in, he was put into the foster system as an orphan child. In the next four years Nemo went from foster home to foster home, orphanage to orphanage, none of them ever lasted.
Now of the age of twelve, Nemo ran away by himself, leaving the horrible system. Over the last few years since that day, his powers have grown exceedingly, and Nemo had learned to understand and control them. Nemo tried, really he did, tried to fit in and hide his powers, but it never worked out and Nemo was left feeling alone and betrayed. It was too much for him to take and so Nemo escaped it all. A month later Nemo had found himself in one of the big cities located in Norway, there he stayed for eight months. Still being young and vulnerable, Nemo had found himself joining a gang of kids, and wanting to have friends so much he trusted them and let them use him and his abilities for there own gain. It was only later that their true motives became apparent when one of them tried to shoot him in the head when the 'jobs' started to become worse and Nemo said no. From there he snuck on a ship that took him all the way to London and from there Nemo went everywhere, no longer caring about where he was going and where he would end up.
Thus he became the Wanderer at the age of the thirteen. Nemo continued furthering his mind, many a night did he spend his time inside a closed library reading the books. They became something of a fondness for him, Nemo's father had been an author, and so when he read he felt just a bit closer to his parents. As time passed Nemo grew more skilled with his abilities and his combat skills increased as well, not because he searches out conflict, but because it seemed to find him. It is of no surprise that Nemo learned a few skills along his way, and so he survived with his adept learning and quick adaptation to the situations that faced. Though Nemo might not think much about it himself, the lasts four years of his live have indeed been strange ones. In all this time Nemo has never stayed in a single place to long, never let people into his heart long enough to make a friend, instead he kept to himself and never imagined anything else.
{Location} Currently Nemo finds himself at Paris, France for that is where his Mother grew up. From there he plans to get on a plane and go to New York.

{Personality}
Nemo is quite different from what most people would expect him to be, so whatever your first impression might be about him, it is most likely the wrong one. Another cause of this might be that Nemo generally acts different depending on the situation, as in he tends to present himself differently then what is the reality of his character. From the first glance point of view Nemo looks like a sort of dark mysterious person, probably either overally depressed or has an excessive amount of hate for people, one of those two. Nemo appears to be the aloof silent type, the sort of guy that keeps to the shadows and is sort of scary. Overall he just doesn't look like the most approachable person out there, and plus you doubt he knows how to hold a normal conversation, definitely an outcast that is anti-social or something. While some of these do have touch of truth to them but are merely misinterpreted, others are completely alien to the actuality. Nemo does have some reasons for doing this. Firstly is because he tries to avoid making close bonds with people and it allows Nemo to judge another's character based on how they react. Nemo attempts to avoid close bonds for the reason that he is a wanderer, and to form a bond is to attach a chain to his heart. As well as that, from Nemo's experience most bonds haven't exactly played out very well with him, mostly either leaving him feeling alone of betrayed in the end, and so he is wary to of such bonds. Lastly it adds a bit of amusement for Nemo, because he is fond of the dressing style even though he isn't particularly dark, simply he really is an actor and so instead of revealing himself to others right away Nemo prefers to wear this mask. The reasons might be a bit odd, but then he has lived an odd life.
There is a certain sly cleverness and cunning trickery to Nemo, not in a manipulative way, but instead is more fox-like. In a way that you can never be sure of his reason or motive for his actions, and yet you know that there always is one. Nemo is like a puzzle, the only problem is that you don't ever have all the pieces to it. You see the detail before you, but are blind to the big picture. In this way, there is an unpredictability to Nemo that you might never quite understand. Nemo prefers to be the one holding all the card, the own who knows the secrets, for it is safer when you are the one in control. A lot of this is due to the fact trust is a difficult thing for Nemo, you might think he trusts you, but then again, you don't know the full story. What you see is what Nemo wants you to see. It is uncommon and rare for Nemo to loose control of himself or his temper, for he is skilled at keeping himself leveled and calm. Remember though, Nemo is an actor as was mentioned once before, and enjoys acting, and to loose one's character is unthinkable. When you do have an affect on him, be prepared for it to be intense. Perhaps there is a reason that he is good at being calm, or a reason why he makes sure to not to loose himself.
There are still some qualities that Nemo has that our his parents, despite everything. The most noticeable ones would be the way he smiles and laughs, it's in such a light hearted way that you wouldn't think someone with his past would be capable of. Then there are other qualities more difficult to see, such as Nemo's friendliness. While he might attempt to avoid bonds and such, Nemo has a friendly personality that is fairly extroverted and has a clever witted but light hearted sense of humor, some of the last things you would expect. Mind you though, do not mistake such friendliness for him actually being your friend, that is something you have to earn. Furthermore, Nemo has the same strong compassion that his parents had, this is something that Nemo doesn't allow though, for it is dangerous too. Nemo is often thought of as a bit of an introvert aw well, for the fact that he wanders and keeps to himself, which is partly true, but not necessarily. There is a lot that Nemo keeps to himself, and sometimes he just needs to be alone to think on such things. Likewise though, part of Nemo wishes there was someone whom he could speak with of such things, a person on whom he could rely and trust on. When you do gain the friendship and trust of Nemo, that is something truly special and powerful, it is a bond far more strong then normal ones because of it's rarity and difficulty to form, Such things that Nemo keeps to himself are intense emotions and memories, as well as secrets and things he wishes weren't real.

Lightning: Her lightning flashes can blind someone if she makes it really bright.

Equipment She has a few small guns, one strapped to her leg, blending in with her pants, one in her combat boot, and one in her bag. She also has a few daggers, but that's it. She loves hand to hand combat.
History:
Adriana was born to James and Lilah Peterson, the two popular people on the street. They were the ideal parents who let there children use more than an hour of computer if they studied, gave out the best candy on Halloween, and had the biggest hearts. Everyone loved them, and some felt quite jealous of Ri, who loved her parents. But her heart was big and filled with child innocence, and she loved everyone no matter who they were. She even loved ol' Tommy Becker, the most annoying and obnoxious boy on the block, although she didn't love him as much as Jayden Tan, her best friend. She was six when Cosette and Eponine, the twins who were named after the family's favorite movie, Les Miseralbes, were born. Everyone loved them because they grew up to be the singing sensations. When Ri was twelve and the twins were six, William (Liam) was born into the family, the last puzzle piece. They couldn't be happier.
Then disaster struck. When Liam was only two years old, Jack was arrested from being accused of killing Mr Thomas Becker, Tommy Becker's dad. Mr Becker was also well loved in the neighborhood because he was had a big heart. He always gave and started charities, did the best he could for the small town, and not to mention, was the President of City Hall. Although the kids believed Jack was falsely accused, he was thrown into prison. Adriana still doesn't know if he actually did it or not. The family was thrown into turmoil. Lilah was now a single parent, who had to raise four children on her own. Adriana, who was fifteen, tried to work and gave the money to her mom, who refused to keep it, but she slipped it in her bag anyway. Things were finally looking up for the small family, until the burglar came. He was only there to steal the family's silver, a treasure that was passed down from mother to the eldest daughter or son. Liam, oblivious to the burglar, had gone downstairs for a cup of water. He never came back up. The burglar shot him in fear that it was a grown up calling 911. Liam is now in a coma. The burglar ran, setting a fire as he did so. Adriana was halfway through the house before she realized that Cosette and Eponine wasn't behind her. She went back for them, but burned herself in the process.
Then Luke came and everything changed. Cosette and Eponine. were overjoyed that they had a father figure in their lives. Lilah was starting to fall in love. Liam could be taken to the best doctor in town because of Luke's generous donation. And Adriana was happy because her family was happy. She couldn't ask for anything more. Until he also slapped another murder onto their plate. Furious that he couldn't have the precious silver, Luke murdered Lilah while the twins were sleeping. His initial plan was to kill her, grab the silver, tell the kids that someone else did it and promise to take care of them, and then leave in the night. It backfired when he realized that Adriana had saw the whole thing. She begged for her sister's life, and gave him the silver. He ran, but before he did, her drew a cut onto Adriana's ear to her chin, swearing that if she ever said anything, he would come back and harm her much more than a small scratch. Now, Adriana lives with Cosette and Eponine, and works hard to get Liam to a good doctor.
Location: Hollywood, California
Family:
Jack Peterson~ Father, in prison
Lilah Peterson~ Mother, Deceased
Cosette Peterson~ Little Sister (9)
Eponine Peterson~ Little Sister (9)
William (Liam) Peterson~ Little Brother (6), in a coma at the hospital
Personality: Adriana has many different personalities. Her first personality, or her first 'level' is her protective coating, the turtle shell that shields her from negative comments or hate messages. She usually shows a girl that void of emotion, a girl who will extinguish any flame that comes near her. With the combination of her expressionless or a face filled with malice, her sharp, witty, sarcastic tongue, and her cold self, not many people like to come near her. She can be extremely pessimistic and she has a form of depression that takes the form of anger. Therefore even the smallest comment can set her off. Once she starts yelling, she doesn't want to stop, and she'll probably say every hateful thing she's stored up, resulting in a lot of pain for the person on the other end. She has trained herself not to explode over anything small by punching her pillow every night. That way, her sisters won't be hurt by the string of insults and hate that usually leaves her mouth. She has a cold and cruel aura that surrounds her. When you come near, her electric blue eyes are usually filled with so much annoyance and anger that people tend to avoid her. The people who don't usually avoid her because of the way she holds herself. She usually stands up straight and stares down at people. She does this so that she doesn't get people swarming around her, trying to be her friend.
Her second personality is her sisterly compassion. Through this personality, she's the girl with the kind eyes and the bright smile. She usually has the best advice, usually saved for her sisters, and when anyone makes them cry, she'll be there to kick their butts. She's not optimistic in this stage, but it's more like she's the gentle, caring girl. She's loyal and will be there to listen to you even though she finds listening to people quite boring.
Then there's the last personality that hardly anyone sees: her bright side. Her bright side is when she smiles constantly, laughs a lot, and is bright and optimistic. That side was said to be banished a long time ago, but in truth, it's still there, lingering inside her. She doesn't want people to see her like this, partly because she believed she killed it off long ago and partly because she feels most insecure at this state. This is because she tends to ramble or act stupid because of her giddiness, and she hates being held against something. Honestly, she can't really remember what she tells someone when she's at this personality, which is why she built her other two to protect herself.

History: Talia was born in Washington DC to a family of politicians, the Bill and Hillary Clinton type. From the moment she was born they knew she was different, the umblical cord was never cut... it literally just disappeared. When Talia would scream as a child, things around her would literally just turn to sand, or dirt, or sometimes even salt. If she wanted something, it would suddenly appear with her, while something else would just as suddenly disappear.
At the age of eight, her parents turned her over to the geneticist to be tested on. (Now, many of you are thinking, What!?!?!?!?! This is America, they don't test on human beings! WRONG!!!!! They just keep it out of the public eyes.) There, Talia was tested on for nearly six years as scientists tried to understand what she could do, while she honed her powers, learning to form her own materials and change things atomic composition completly. She eventually escaped from the facility in Maine, finding refugee in New York City due to the over abundacy of people who could care less. She made a fake ID for her that will pass a government check if needed. She passed of as a 18/19 year old and rented an apartment, making money as she needed it, taking school classes online.
Talia met her first boyfriend Keith after two months in the city. Keith was in no ways special, and he gave her the chain of beads that she wears on her arm as a gift. He also helped her pick the mask she wears when disguised. Talia felt a deep connection to Keith, who moved in with her after another month. Keith and Talia went out to night clubs a lot, Talia turned into a party girl, one night when they were both drunk, they went to a tattoo parlor and talia got the tatto on her anle, while Keith got a heart with Talia in gold on his wrist. Two weeks later he was murdered in the street when he tried to stop a bugalur at a convinience shop. Talia was heart broken, and for a period of time became a ruthless hero, meaning she would stop criminals, but she was not exactly gentle or nice when doing it. This ended when she killed a masked bugalur, to unmask him and find that he was only a child. Talia kind of fell apart after that, and still has not fully recovered from those events. Talia went to DC to try and reconnect with her family. Her father then tried to stab her, but the knife disapated where it should have entered her chest, leaving only a bruise where the hilt hit her chest. Her family totally disowned her, and she learned that she had a little brother who was also "special". She has a permenant grude against the government for the years of painful testing and electric shock therapy she was forced to undergo. She likes to help people, but refuses to work with scientists, which sometimes leaves her on the supervillian side. Talia is looking for someone to fill the gap in her life, whether it be a friend, a family image, or a relationship.
Location: NYC, NY, USA
Family: William Snow (father), president/CEO or Banks of America
Tereasa Snow (mother) Virginia Senator, running for 2016 presidential election.
Jake Snow (little brother, now 9 years old) still lives with parents, has invisibility capabilities, other powers unknown. Goes to private boarding school and secretly communicates with Talia.
Personality: Talia used to be very sweet and naiive. She thought that the powers she possessed really were a gift and that she would have a happy life with her family, full on optimist. That view changed dramatically when she was put into the facility, that was her first big personality change.
When in the testing facility, Talia went into survival mode. Her optimism shut down completely. for those years, she didn't believe anything. In that place, she didn't even have a personality because she rarely, if ever spoke. She screamed often, but she almost never spoke. She also rarely ate, leading to her being permenately skinny, if she tries to eat to much, she will be sick. Talia has never been to a real hospital, if someone tries to get her to a hospital, she has ben known to totally freak. She has a phobia of doctors due to her past and will not go to the doctors even if her life is in danger.
When she escaped the facility, she developed the personality she has now. This personality tends to be very closed off. In times of stress she will go back to survival mode, or she has had nervous breakdowns before. Talia can sometimes be very cryptic on how she speaks, doesn't ever talk about her past and denies that she is related to any politicians. She tends to be kind to people, unless she has a reason not to, but is often very sarcastic. She has trouble trusting people, but if she does trust someone and that trust is broken, it can literally break her down. She was betrayed by her parents, that led to a psychological disorder that means she can literally trust no one and everyone at the same time, because she wasn't fully developed when put in the facility and was unable to establish emotional ad social ties when in the facility. On weak days, she will revert back to her child hood personality, this is when she s the most vulnerable.

(Hero/Villain/Other) Hero
Alias: Phoenix
(Supernatural Abilities) Can control all the elements as long as she has a basic scientific understanding of said element. Has the strongest affinity with fire, and may lose control of her power if her emotions go wild.
Appearance: Will edit in a picture when I find one.
(Hair Color) Red
(Eye Color) Green
(Body Type) Slender, but muscular in a way that she is stronger than she looks.
Distinctive Feature: Birth mark of a bird in flight under her left knee.
Disguise: Wears mostly tank tops and shorts unless it's cold. Then she wears hoodies over t-shirts, jeans, and boots. Never wears hats, scarves, or gloves, and rarely dresses up.
(Equipment) Has a self-designed weapon. It looks like a pole, but there is another pole inside that that slides out when she flicks it. Once the two are separated, they each slide out once more and have hidden blades. She mostly runs fire along the lengths and twirls them to fight.
History: She's been an orphan since birth. Her mother died in the hospital shortly after she was born, and her father left her there. No one noticed her, and eventually she got up and went out to fend for herself. Since then, she's been caught and 'adopted' six times. Each time, the foster parents ended up with a child of their own or became frightened of her if she defended them from an element, or lost control.
Her education is full of holes, and what little she knows, she taught herself based on the scraps she picked up in school the rare occasions she actually went. She loves to travel, and often hops on a plane just to see where she'll end up. She works odd jobs wherever she can, and when it comes down to it, isn't above stealing to feed herself and anyone who's hungry. She once picked up a five-year-old girl on the side of the road in Chicago, and looked after her for four years, until the girl was caught on gang territory after curfew. They took her hostage, and Melody has been punishing gangs and searching for the little girl since.
She was born and grew up in America. Since then, she's been to Ireland, Britain, France, Australia, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Italy. She's also been to Canada and Mexico several times. She loves foreign countries, ;earning new languages and cultures, and dreams of traveling around the world. Now she works as a translator and travel agent to earn enough money to go to Japan.
Location: Currently, Chicago, USA. Will change many times, and very often.
Family: Doesn't know.
Personality: She loves music with all her heart and plays flute and piano. She often uses it to control her emotions so that her power doesn't get out of control. She blames wealth and greed for the state of society today, and often wishes for things to be different. She works as a volunteer a lot and loves helping people. When threatened, she doesn't much care, but if innocents or people she loves are threatened, she goes berserk until they're safe.
Melody loves freedom and hates being confined. She gets claustrophobic easily unless she's being hugged by someone she trusts. And she doesn't trust very many people. She's been abandoned and betrayed too often. Her true nature is easygoing, bright, and trusting, but she's long since covered that up with a mask of indifference and strength.
She treasures company and loves people, making her a very friendly person on the outside, but she tries not to delve below the surface in relationships. She loves deeply emotional conversations and honesty, but will lie to protect herself and others, and hides her deepest secrets from even herself. As such, she sometimes feels eaten up by dark emotions and has to bleed off the resulting poison somehow, before her powers become tainted. This led her to self-harm. She wears lots of bracelets and ribbons around her wrists and makeup on her neck to hide the scars. She can't stand feeling suffocated, and refuses to wear anything up against her neck, but necklaces are fine as long as they're not chokers. She loves ribbons and pretty things, and beautiful scenery makes her calm and content.
