The written. When you speak you cannot touch a million people. But with your words hundreds of thousands of lives can be changed. Another point, its harder to tell someones sentiments without body language or eye contact. Who else has had an awkward sarcasm moment?

I believe the written word is more powerful and lasting. The spoken word may be stronger at first, but the written one has a longer effect. The written word is more likely to remain true to form, rather than a game of telephone.

What is more powerful - the written or the spoken word? Give reasons.
