What have you found most interesting/surprising about your topic so far?

My topic for my research paper is how mythology influence the culture of greeks. The most interesting thing I have learned so far is that since Greeks worshipped the ancient gods in myths, they made sacrifices in drinks for gods to breathe into. They also kill themselves for gods to drink their souls to live lively and happily. I found it interesting since I didn't know they respected them that much. I thought they would only decorate their houses in the way gods are symbolized. For instance, if you worship Jupiter, God of thunder, you probably would decorate your house as a cloudy, gloomy place filled with lightning symbols. Wouldn't it be useless to kill yourself to let an ancient god drink your soul? What if they are not even alive? It wouldn't be much use to the stories of mythology. In addition, there would be even less greeks even alive. The greeks would die out, depending on how often they make the sacrifices for their drinks/themselves. I felt disgusted when I read this part in my research because of the blood they let drip out of their skin into the drink. Overall, mythology is such a fascinating topic.

My research paper is about global warming and how it affects us in negative ways. While gathering information, one thing that I found the most interesting was, people used to think that it was good that global warming is happening. The reason I found this really interesting is because back then, about in the mid 1900's ,people thought that global warming was good for some places that was cold. They thought that a little global warming wouldn't do much harm to them. However, when global warming started to increase, they started to understand that global warming is not something good. This really interested me because, what did the people thought global warming was back then? Did they know that Co2 is polluting the air? That really surprised me, but since, they didn't know much about global warming, they probably didn't know what it was.

My topic for my research is about gun laws in school and how does it effect people lives. When I wrote down my information from the articles I read, I found out that the teachers in different schools should have guns for protection. I believe that the teachers should not have guns in schools because what if somebody had mental problems and they took the teacher's gun. According to the article, school employees with special training access to firearms as the last line of defense during an attack. Also, texas school boards may grant permission to anyone to have guns. Lastly, I learned that the people in texas said that they should have guns but, they need to have a gun license. I found this interesting because I wanted to know how did people get guns from the streets and why do people sell guns to other people? Also, I wanted to know if the president is going to make a law about guns control?

Most interesting thing about my research topic right now would be that video games can help people that have medical issues. My argument is that video games can be useful. I didn't very think this was going to be easy because all I knew was that video games can sometimes be educational. I play video games all the time and I realized they teach me new words and skills over time. Doing research on this topic made me find out that video games also help people with medical social issues. This happens to be very interesting to me because most people who aren't gamers think video games are harmful and do damage. Video games that help with medical issues is the good side of gaming which I found out. This part of my research is also interesting to me because I found out how this issue also affects me. I play games with friends online, that teaches me how to better social with others. People with social medical issues have gotten better through gaming, but so does everyone else with the world. Either they have social issues or not, social gaming is helping them become better at communicating with others. All this makes me interested about my topic so far.

The topic of my research paper is the affect of violent video games on people. I think people who play violent games over and over they will start to behave differently. The most interesting thing I have found is that many people have been killed by gamers because they have been playing violent games. The killers who play violent games see something in the game, and they want to do it in real life. This leads to a lot of violence.

The topic of my research paper is, who is the best player ever on the Knicks. during this research paper I have learned so many things I never knew and some very interesting things. Before I did this research paper I never knew that Patrick Ewing was the best Knicks player of all time I thought it might have been Walt "Clyde" Frazier but now that I compare their statistics Patrick Ewing is defiantly better than Walt Frazier. Another thing that I have had learned is that Carmelo Anthony is not even in the top ten best Knicks players of all-time but I think he eventually will be. During this research paper I enjoyed to research events topics and arguments that I am interested in and hope to do it again.

My research paper is on how kids are affected by video games. Over the past couple of years there were numerous murders because of video games. Such as the incident in Newtown. The murderer Adam Lanza killed about twenty people and there were kids. The most logical reason was a video game as he was thought to reenact a game. But Scientist say otherwise. Scientist have shown that kids or teens are not affected by video games through a series of test. This is what fascinated me. There are some people who are and some are not. This baffled me so a question rang in my head, Does it or does it not?

The topic of my research is about video games being beneficial. During my research i learned a lot of things. One is that video games can be be beneficial because they can help in the medical field. Surgeons can practice in the video game, it makes it more safe. Another thing that I learned is that video games can also save lives. A boy had saved his sister from a mosses. He was able to do it because he learned it in a video game. Video games can also endurance learning by making it more fun for kids. I enjoyed the researching because it was really fun and interesting.

My reserch paper is about how Hip-Hop and Rap music can have a negative affect on teens. During my research I had learned that Hip-Hop and rap music can cause teens do act on violence. Also, how it can cuase young teens to have sex at a very early age; therefore, it affects there future and there life style as a young teen. One very interesting I learned about my topic is that most teens that listen to Rap music are involved in drugs, and somehow ,how some of the lyrics in a certain of these rap songs incorage violence, but most importanly drugs and how teens die at a very young age because of how much influence it has on them as kids. The reason why I was most interested in this topic is because I felt it was something that wasn't being spocken about too often, and it was also something not many people really payed attention to. Another reason why I chose this topic was because I felt like it would be most interesting to talk about, and many kids in the school loved listening to Hip-Hop and Rap music and many of them had these affects like doing drugs,violence or having sex at a early age.
