What are your pet peeves?(one per post please!)

I HATE when book descriptions(i.e. classics) talk about how great the story/edition is, but not what the actual story is about :o

i hate it when your reading a book that you think is going to be so great and then you like the first 1-2 in the series and then realize that its been ruined because the story keeps being dragged on and on with unnecessary nonsense.

Oh man! It's annoying when youre reading a really good book then someone interrupts you, or you have to stop in the middle of a chapter or paragraph and im like " just let me finish this paragraph!!!!" but they keep interrupting you!!!!

Oh and another one. When you read a really good book, then it's made into movie and you see it but the movie is barely like the book!!!!

And another!! When you're rushing but then theres a really slow walker in front of you and you can't get past them because there is too many people in the way or there's not enough space to squeeze around them!! And then they suddenly stop and you bump into them!!!!!

When you are walking and a person is walking the same way as you...ugh I dont like it and when people stare at you, like kids...*shivers*

I HATE when people crack their knuckles! Example: I went to the movies earlier this year with my sister, her friend, and this boy I know, and through the WHOLE movie he wouldn't stop cracking his knuckles, I was literally about to punch him in the face by the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something similar to that happened to me too, except a kid was waving a glow stick in my face at a concert and I wanted to grab it and throw it over the balcony!!!!!!!

Ew! And one time at the movies someone took off their shoes and rested their stinky sock clad feet on the top of my seat and I'm like, 'EWWWWW" and slouched down in my seat and... ugh it was gross

I HATE when you go to a store and you walk up to the counter with whatever you were going to buy, then you realize you don't have enough money with you-soo embarrassing!

Oh yeah!!! Haha. And you're like 'oh, don't want this anymore..........'

:) I hate when people say nevermind. SAY WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND! Also when people say whatever, to a situation even though it affects them deeply. It's like 'I know you care..."

I HATE when people walk slow at school or anywhere. I'm kind of a fast walker and I hate getting stuck behind a slow group of people. Just walk normally! well no, that's still to slow for me. I just want to get to my next class quickly.

Getting a 99% on a test is my main pet peeve.

I HATE when people wear eyeliner without mascara; the whole point of eyeliner is to highlight your lash line, which you can't do if no one can see your eyelashes!!!!

I also hate when teachers tell you to read, for example, 6.1-6.6 because I never know if that includes 6.6 or if we read until 6.6!
-I feel like I'm the only one who overthinks that though ;)

It's my pet peeve when you don't know how to spell a word an the teacher asks you to look it up in the dictionary. It's like, 'Well, I would if it KNEW HOW TO SPELL IT!!!' I also hate it when people ask me,"how can you like reading?"

Also, when I let people borrow my books, mainly my brother, and they don't give it back for months!!!

TOTALLY AGREE

When my library doesn't have a book I really want!!

When an author's name is larger than the book title!!!! So annoying!

When people dog-ear the pages of MY books!!!!

Yeah! I HATE that too. That's mostly why I don't lend out books.

My pet peeves are when people bend the covers too much/curl the cover when they borrow my books, and also when people boss you around. And sometimes arrogant people too, but this depends.

OH MY GOSH! totally agreeing with you right now. Just tried to look for a book throughout my cities libary system and they didn't have it! ARGGG! It's a library for a reason. Thy should have the book i want! That happened for the last 4 books I've wanted to read.

I know right!!I'm the kind of person who will get like super excited about a book before I read it. I have been known to read the quotes from a book and look up reviews and stuff, and I'll be like "this book is going to be soooo good" and then the library doesn't have and I get soooo mad. (sorry about the rant, this REALLY bothers me, I couldn't help myself ;)

It really bothers me when you wait for ages for the last book in a series to be published, and when you read it, half of the characters, including your favorites, die. I'm almost finished reading Clockwork Princess at the moment and not exceptionally pleased with Cassandra Clare for this exact reason. WHY?!?

It really irks me when people park in handicapped spaces outside a mall or grocery store. They're ignorant and could care less.

To hear people chewing (open mouthed). To have someone unnecessarily interrupt me while I am speaking. Inconsideration at any level.

My worst pet peeve is when someone drinks from your drink and, you feel like there are gazillion floaties in it. And, also PUBLIC TOILETS. The thought of it makes me gag.

I hate when a cashier acts like you are interrupting them when you get in line to check out. Isn't that their job?

My most recent pet peeve regards group projects and that one person who does absolutely nothing. And, of course, you get stuck with all of the work. It's just so frustrating!

I really don't like it when people review a book that they haven't finished or rate a book before it has even come out. I understand that some books just can't be finished but if you haven't read the whole book how can you review it not knowing how it ends? Also you can't really rate a book before it comes out, what if you think it is going to be awesome but it stinks?

When my bookmark falls out of my book! I'm like, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..."

My pet peeve is when you tell someone you've published a book and they expect you simply to give them a copy, as if you, the author, doesn't have to buy copies. I guess people think the author has a ton of freebies just to hand out, as if publishing isn't a business, an industry, where money is at issue!

My pet peeve is when you're writing a book and people keep assuming that it's already been published!!

Yes, as if finding a publisher doesn't cost you blood, sweat and tears. It took me 15 years to find a publishing house. So. Don't give up.

When people stop laughing when you walk near them, it makes me paranoid :(

People who clip their toe nails in public. EEEW!

When you discover this really cool book title or song title, and then I try to search it up online or something, and you've totally forgotten it. And if it's a song title you've lost, the tune gets stuck in your head for days... Uh, it's just really annoying for me!
