for epub you can find them easily on mobilism or freespot. after that convert them to pdf if you like.
torrent can also provide them quite easily.

Muhammad Syed | 13 comments Dear Owaiz have tried this one. A great collection but still finding it difficult to get hold of a few books. Cheers for your reply.

message 6: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz Google. I think if a book is there, google finds it. If not, oh well.

message 7: by Muhammad (new)

Muhammad Syed | 13 comments Indeed it is a trouble finding books on google as many sites ask for a software installation.

message 8: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz True, but once you get a little downloading experience it is no problem at all. You'll know which ones are real and which ain't.

message 9: by Hina (new)

Hina | 21 comments Try epubbud, 4 shared and mobile9. There used to be many such sites like mobile 24 but they have been closed because of the copyrights infringement act.

message 10: by Irfan (new)

Irfan If anyone has Manuscript Found in Accra in pdf ..please share.

message 11: by Salmaan (new)

Salmaan | 11 comments I'm not judging anyone but isn't it theft?
I mean, when you steal a book from torrent, the author is not getting any royalties for it.

How would you feel if you spend countless hours writing a book only to have it stolen?

message 12: by Natasha (last edited Jun 26, 2013 04:16PM) (new)

Natasha Irfan (NatashaIrfan) | 526 comments I think the only thing an author or a writer wants is 4 ppl to read n applaud what he/she rote... plus sm ppl cant afford it....

message 13: by Salmaan (new)

Salmaan | 11 comments Not really. It's their profession, they have to earn a living too, don't they?

It's justifiable for those who can't afford it but I have seen dozens of people who can easily afford a book but steals it anyway.

message 14: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Irfan (NatashaIrfan) | 526 comments they do earn it :D I haven't met such ppl but lets see what life brings forth ;)

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

In terms if the author earning, the author wont earn anything if you buy a second hand copy of the book. The first owner is the one that contributed to the earning. :/

message 16: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Irfan (NatashaIrfan) | 526 comments goooo Sairah!! I honestly no no shit bout this :P

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol its just the whole 'its stealing' thing is pretty wishy washy.
Yes it is kinda wrong but im sure most people would think twice before taking a picture of a copyrighted picture in a textbook or elsewhere. :/ where does giving away end and stealing begin?

message 18: by Salmaan (new)

Salmaan | 11 comments Yes, everyone does it so it must be okay. :)

message 19: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Irfan (NatashaIrfan) | 526 comments @salman just cz everyone does it doesn't make it okay... u r rite... but its more like I couldn't find prince of wolves at any store in Lahore so I hd to get an ebook.. I don't have a credit card so amazon is kind of out of option 4 a few years :D

message 20: by Anna (last edited Jul 09, 2013 07:33PM) (new)

Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) I hope nobody is offended if I post a FREE ebook offer which anybody can download since the post thread is 'free ebooks.' If so, tell me to go away and my apologies for intruding.

Goodreads has free ebooks available in .epub which you can download with your existing Goodreads account, but you have to hunt for the full books as most of them are just samples of the first few chapters.

Here is the link to one of mine (full book) available here for free in .epub format if anybody is interested:

http://www.goodreads.com/ebooks/downl...

and here's the .pdf version:

http://www.scribd.com/aerishkigal

I am offering the book for free to any reader who is willing to give it a fair review. You may share the book file with whoever you like, as many times as you like, free of charge, the only restriction being you cannot charge for it.

If anybody can't download the ebook link I posted above or you need a different format, PM me with your email address and I will personally email it to you in .epub, .mobi or .pdf.

Nagwa Malik (nagwamalik) | 91 comments Hi, I dont know if this is the right place to introduce myself but i just joined this group. I am a writer and teach writing and french to university students, and am also an avid reader. My book is actually on this site for a review...and it is available on amazon and kindle. If you could ever get the chance to please do check it out. the name is THE MIST- The Prelude, and it is a political spy thriller. As for free ebooks yes epub is indeed a place to get almost all the books you can thik of.
Nagwa

message 22: by Hami (new)

Hami | 22 comments May be it is not ethical to read those books freely but still it matters a lot for the people who dont have any way to buy them through anywhere,

message 23: by Anna (new)

Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) Hi Nagwa ... do you have a link for where your book could be downloaded for free?

message 24: by Saad (new)

Saad Awan | 1 comments We get pirated stuff in our country. The author, even if we buy the books available at our local shops, doesn't really benefit. By downloading we are in fact discouraging pirates who stand to profit greatly from such enterprises. Most people can't afford to buy the real deal. So it's either download it for free, or profit some nitwit who owns a printing press.

i agree with your point here @Saad.

Nagwa Malik (nagwamalik) | 91 comments Anna wrote: "Hi Nagwa ... do you have a link for where your book could be downloaded for free?"

Hi, I am very sorry for the late reply. I have just come back online after a rather long and hectic time. Well the best place to find my book to download for free is kindle. It is on kindle select and matchbook...so you can get it for free. Hope that helps?
Regards

Azhar Ali | 55 comments I don't know, but I have never liked the idea of reading a book on screen (pc, ipad, mobile). Real joy is reading paper book.

message 32: by Osama (new)

Osama (0042) | 257 comments Mostly, I use kickass.to or Pirate Bay. Books are easy o find, u=you can easily download whole series from torrents, the formatting is excellent in most of the cases and, crème de la crème, the metadata is perfect which makes organizing my mobile and computer library very easy.
@Zarnab It used to be bookos.org, no? I use this site in conjunction with mobilism when I can't find some obscure book.

Madiha J Bookblogger | 6 comments Zarnab wrote: "http://bookzz.org/

message 35: by Narjis (new)

Narjis Naqvi | 713 comments I use IRC client for ebooks. There isn't almost any book which you won't find there and in any format. Its like heaven for book readers, at least I feel so.

message 36: by Ali (new)

Ali Bhatti | 40 comments IRC, Torrents, Websites, and of course the DeepWeb (for banned, controversial and rare books)

message 40: by Waqar (last edited Oct 25, 2014 07:36PM) (new)

Waqar Hassan | 2 comments Most of the books I read are not found in book shops in our country or are pirated, so one day I was so fed up with it, I decided to go the e-books route.

Bought a kindle Paperwhite and a tablet for reading, the best decision of my life! I have over 40,000 books in my e-books library.

Almost any book can be found on torrents, thats where I get my books. :)

Madiha J Bookblogger | 6 comments @Waqar same here. mostly books and fiction novels i read are not available here, not even at Liberty store. so i also switched to Ebooks :-)

message 42: by Waqar (new)

Waqar Hassan | 2 comments Madiha wrote: "@Waqar same here. mostly books and fiction novels i read are not available here, not even at Liberty store. so i also switched to Ebooks :-)"

Ebooks are just so convenient, and in my opinion the reading experience with modern e-readers is better than reading paper books, as there is no bulk to ebooks and they don't depreciate over time with usage. I thinks ebooks are the future. :)

message 46: by Talal (new)

Talal Piracha | 10 comments Dude how can you think of reading entire books online?Like the idea of not smelling a new book and the crisp of pages that you won't get your hands on is just so disturbing lol

message 47: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
Omg! Talal finally someone who understands the need for paper books. I am pretty anti electronic reading. I'm never satisfied reading anything but a paper back!!! The pages turning and the weight of the book shifting from the right to the left. English walk of course. Urdu ke liye it'll be left to right.

message 48: by Ali (new)

Ali Bhatti | 40 comments As much as I love the smell of paper books, and the gratification I receive when I buy them..I'll have to disagree with you Talal; A book can be read in any readable format, for it's the quench for knowledge that needs fulfillment. (for me at least, who's into serious stuff like history, philosophy etc)

Madiha J Bookblogger | 6 comments i seriously love paperback and i had been anti Ebooks uptill last year. but now the books that i really NEED to read are not availabe in Pakistan so i had to compromise n switched to Ebooks. i still prefer Paperback more !
