Darkfever and its sequels take Mackayla Lane on a journey that turn her from pink Mack into black Mack. Her five-book epic journey does not leave her unscathed. I think this is one of the best examples of a character arc I have ever read, and when I re-read the series, it only bolstered that impression.

This series also does a decent job with a dark hero, although pink Mack was never going to be right for him. She had to finish the journey before the chemistry worked. I found it somewhat bittersweet, but won't say why unless someone wants to start a spoilers thread. :)

Definitely dig this one up! I'd love to hear what you think when you read it.

I loved this entire serious. Had already read the Highlander books by her and just devoured these books as they came out. By the time it was over I was like, NOOOO I wanna be like her, there has to be more. Just talking about it makes me want to read them again, for the 4th time. :)

I believe she is working on a new series featuring Danni (sp? I listened on audio so never saw it spelled) from the Fever series. I'm looking forward to it.
