Loved the book, loved the movie, wasn't quite sure what the connection was ;)

Don't you hate when the movie isn't even close?

I actually saw the movie before I read the book. I think it's a great movie, but it's so far away from the book I'm managing to pretend that it's two completely separate things that just happen to share a common name.
I usually get very annoyed when movies are so far from the books, but when they take it one step far enough, it's fine, because in my mind they aren't based off each other at all...

Does that make any sense?

Yep that makes sense, if you can see them as separate things you don't spend the whole time comparing the two and getting upset.

The wonders of seeing the movie first :)
