:D I'm not sure we were meant too either, but whatever the author intended I certainly liked Kit! I don't know about you, but in the Deathstalker Universe some things just become more easily forgivable than they'd usually be... like some of the things Kit did. :)
Kit was a great villain capable of some things which afterwards you can look back on and go...ah...so that's why you did that....
Yeah, I think that's why I liked him. You know, when I first read of him killing Roderick SummerIsle, I was like - *sniff* "That's so sad, how could you do that!?" And then later on in the series you find out, at which point... it's not exactly excusable, but you can at least understand Kit a bit better, and it does become a little more forgiveable.
And I mean, really, who could blame him. If his Father and Grandfather stole his childhood and instead taught him how to use a sword... why was the maths not adding up for them? :D

Yeah, I know right! I was thinking, You're supposed to be this fighting genius, how did you not see that coming? Admittedly, Rod seemed to put more value on Family than many other aristocrats, so that might be where his surprise came from.
