(Deep in the Red Phantom Forest there is a small, overgrown orchard, and if you look hard enough you'll be able to find some ripe, wild fruit.)

When Vitale stopped running, it took Emma a few moments to gain the courage to look up and she was met with a pretty small, overgrown tree [;D]. "Is this it?" She whispered breathlessly, glancing back to see if the guy was still there but didn't see him. "Is he here? Is he going to come back?" The questions flew out of her mouth, feeling her heart pounding hard, her breathing hitching.

((HOT VAMPIRES!! FTW!))

((XD Well, an orchard is just a group of cultivated trees. XD))

"He's not coming," Vitale shook her head, letting her down gently as he looked around at the surrounding fruit trees. "We're safer here than you would be at camp."

(Lol...I know... know...XD))

At his words, Emma let out a small breath, though she stayed close to him. "How is that?" She asked quietly, "Why here than at the camp?" Wasn't this part of the forest? Didn't the camp have a little security? But looking at the fruits, it made her smile slightly.

((okay, okay. xD))

"Because, very few people know where this place actually is." He looked at her with a small smile, "And fewer still are brave enough to come. Everyone knows where the human camp is, and you can hardly say that the security is the best..."

Slowly, Emma detached herself from Vitale and slowly went off into the Orchard, smiling a little as she looked around, noticing the various fruits and whatnot. "How did you find this place?" She asked him, picking up one of the fruit and examining it. She had to agree, the security back at the camp was failing.

Vitale shoved his hands in his pockets, looking around. "I have a lot of time on my hands. I was just wandering one day, and I found it." He shrugged, "Thought it was nice. Smells nice, anyway."

Emma slid her bag off from her shoulder and began picking some wild fruits. "It smells really nice." She agreed, smiling. "So uh...have you..uh...met any...pretty vampire girls?" She mumbled, kind of feeling awkward at the moment.

((fire, fire))

"If I have I haven't noticed," he shrugged. "I don't really hang around them. And I still only have eyes for you." He bit his lip as he watched her.

((ouch,ouch))

That made Emma smile, relief flooding through her. "That's good to hear." She told him honestly, walking around and picking at random fruits, thinking of some Renzo would want as well. "Do you have a favorite fruit?" She asked him, walking towards Vitale. The thought occurred to her...did they eat food?

((water, water))

"Not anymore," he shook his head slightly. He sighed quietly and leaned against the nearest tree trunk, watching her with a weak smile on his face. "But I used to like apples a lot."

((sooth, sooth..))

Emma bit her lip and picked an apple up from one of the trees and walked over to him, leaning on the tree as well. "Have you tried eating? What happens?" She whispered, curiosity on her face as she looked up at him.

((This is how I imagine them right now...just..different faces and they're leaning against a tree trunk..XD

"I can eat," he shrugged as he looked up at her. "I just can't taste it." Vitale bit his lip, "Keep it for Renzo, though. They're his favorite, if he hasn't changed on me."

Emma felt guilty, all of a sudden, as she slowly set the apple in her bag. "Oh...I'm sorry." She murmured softly and then bit her lip, not able to not ask the question. "Have you drank any...err..blood?" She asked softly.

"It's not your fault," he smiled slightly, then he bit his lip again at her next question. Vitale sighed quietly and stood up straighter, running a hand through his hair, "Well, that would be a yes. But not a human's blood, if I can help it. There was a time or two...they were dying from another vampire bite, about to turn, but...they shouldn't want to be a vampire..."

Emma smiled faintly, nodding once or twice as he spoke. "That's nice of you." She whispered, smoothing one of his wrinkles on his shirt with her dainty fingers. "Do you...like..get thirsty?" She asked quietly. "If I'm making you uncomfortable...do let me know.' She added quickly afterward.

Vitale looked at her fingers and smiled, then tilted his head to one side. "I do, and I start to get this..." He pointed to his mouth, "This...burning in the back of my throat, and I start to get really grumpy..."

Emma frowned a little at his description and then bit her lip, "How are you feeling now?" She asked softly, before a burst of woman laughter rang in her ears, making her freeze. Another vampire?!

"Do I seem grumpy to you?" He smiled, then stood up straight, hearing the giggles echoing through the trees.

"A little." She teased, grinning before she took a step closer to Vitale. "Who is she?" She whispered quietly, not feeling nearly as worried, seeing at how strong Vitale seemed to be now.

Vitale shook his head quietly, looking around before kissing her forehead. "You're right, I'm only a little grumpy."

Emma shuddered at the invisible seeming woman's laughter. It scared her more than the strange man, to be honest. It sounded hysterical. At the kiss on the forehead, she looked up at him. "Do...do you want my blood?" She asked, surprising herself for having asked.

Vitale bit his lip as she darted between them, then looked at Emma quietly, "No, I don't." He let out a deep breath, wanting to know who that was that was laughing, running...

Emma shrieked and stumbled back, almost falling but caught herself. Clearly startled, she stayed close to the tree, looking around. "Are you sure...?" She murmured quietly.

Vitale frowned, then grabbed Emma by the waist, carrying her effortlessly up the tree and he set her on a branch looking down while answering, "I'm positive."

Emma let out yet another scream, not enjoying this at all. Where was this woman?! She swallowed dryly, stuffing her hands in Vitale's jacket pockets she was currently wearing and looked up at him. "Alright..but..if ever...you're feeling grumpy or whatever...I...y'know...I'll let you.."

Vitale bit his lip and momentarily looked up at her, "What do you mean, you'll let me...You'll let me what?"

Emma bit her lip and shrugged, "Y'know...drink my blood." She managed to say before her skin froze over and she screamed, jerking forward, earning herself a cut on her leg. "Stop that!" She yelled to whomever was doing that. She was she'd fall off the tree at one point. "Who is doing that, Vitale? "She asked him, examining her wound.

Vitale shook his head vigorously, then froze when Emma got the cut on her leg, his arm shooting out, his hand immediately covering the entire wound tightly, turning his head away. "I don't know, but I wish I did," he muttered without a breath.

Emma bit her lip and then winced as his hand clamped on her leg. This wasn't good. This really wasn't good. "I'm so sorry, Vitale." She murmured, thinking of what to do. "I'll...just go...I'll find my way back." She told him, wondering what would happen with the blood on his hand and all.

((Well, it makes for plot development. :3 AND RIGHT AFTER SHE SAYS THAT HE CAN DRINK HER BLOOD!!!!!!!!))

Vitale shook his head, still faced away, "Just...Just stop the bleeding, and we'll be fine. You can rip a part of my shirt off and tie it around...apply pressure...just...something."

((YES HE WILL!!! WOOT WOOT!))

Emma shuddered and let out a whimper at the foreign whisper. "Oh God I'm going to die." She squeaked before she reached over and did as she was told, ripping a par of his shirt and gently pulled his hand away and tied it around her wound, wincing slightly. "What about...the..the blood on your hand?" She whispered quietly, her eyes wide.

He frowned and then looked at the red smears covering his hand, then he looked back up at her, the shadows beneath his eyes seeming to darken slightly. "Stay here," he hissed quietly, then he leapt from the tree, down to the ground, closer to the middle of the orchard, and he sighed, crouching down in the sparse grass, looking at his hand.

She looked at him worriedly, not wanting for him to go. "I'm sorry." She repeated to him before she heard the woman's whisper again. "V-Vitale?" She called out, darting her head around. "Listen lady...um...my blood...is..very high in cholesterol...it's full of fat too." She blabbered meaninglessly, hugging the jacket to her body, making sure it covered her neck as she held her wound. "Just stop it already!"

She looked at him worriedly, not wanting for him to go. "I'm sorry." She repeated to him before she heard the woman's whisper again. "V-Vitale?" She called out, darting her head around. "Listen lady...um...my blood...is..very high in cholesterol...it's full of fat too." She blabbered meaninglessly, hugging the jacket to her body, making sure it covered her neck as she held her wound. "Just stop it already!"

She looked at him worriedly, not wanting for him to go. "I'm sorry." She repeated to him before she heard the woman's whisper again. "V-Vitale?" She called out, darting her head around. Vitale looked at his hand with wide eyes, then bit his lip, looking around before slowly licking the dark red liquid off of it, closing his eyes until he finished. He let out a deep breath, feeling better now that it was gone, but now he wanted more blood...He would have to fight it, though, because he was going back to Emma, and he did, quickly, climbing up the tree trunk swiftly and sitting next to her again.

Emma shuddered and the moment Vitale came back near to her, she latched onto his arm, linking it with hers. "That woman keeps whispering to me." She told him with wide eyes, hear heart beating fast. Then she glanced down at his hand and saw it was clean. "What did you do to get the blood off?" She asked slowly.

"The laughing woman?" He asked quietly, pretending he hadn't heard her last question, looking around their large branch that they were sitting on. "What is she whispering to you?"

Emma bit her lip and shook her head, burying her head in her shoulder. "I wanted the first bite, but someone's already going in for the draining." She repeated the exact words, shuddering at them.

Vitale frowned, looking around, "We're going to have to go...I'm taking you back to camp, where Renzo can take care of you." He stood slightly on the branch, crouching so she could climb onto his back.

((Uh....you could get it off the Interwebs...O_O
I'm not sure on which channel it is...but you'd have to watch from Season 1 to understand everything...O_O))

Emma nodded once and then slowly stood up on the branch and hopped on his back once more. "You licked the blood off, didn't you?" She whispered softly in his ear, though it was simply curious and wanting to know,

Vitale looked back to make sure she was holding on tight, and he hopped down, trying to get away from that...woman. Sighing quietly and starting to run, he bit his lip, "I'm sorry, Emma...I couldn't help.it..."

Emma gave a small smile before planting a small kiss on his neck. "You don't have to be sorry." She whispered quietly. "As long as you enjoyed it..." She said lightly trying to lighten the mood slightly. She didn't want him to feel bad.

Vitale sighed quietly, a weak smile teasing his lip. "I enjoy everything about you, Em." And with that, wanting to get her away from the crazy chick, he ran faster until he was at the edge of the forest and human camp, not ready to drop her off, but wanting her to be safe.

Destiny got to the orchard and sat in a high branch of a tree eating a ripe fruit. She never went to the human camps, it was too obvious and it made people think they were safe when in reality safety didn't exist anymore, instead you got the illusion you were safer there and it all goes downhill from there. That's what Destiny thought anyway, she didn't have that safe feeling anymore and she hadn't got it in a long time.
