What are you reading? Or does it matter?

Judy I only read romance anyways. I recently read Wishing on Willows by Katie Ganshert. Excellent book. Next will probably be Fugitive by Shirlee McCoy. At the moment I'm trying to finish one of the three books I'm writing.

Camy (camytang) | 103 comments I'm like Judy, I read almost exclusively romances. :) I tried reading a historical fiction novel the other day and put it down after 2 chapters because I was bored.

Christine Johnson | 18 comments Occasionally I grab a nonfiction book, and this happens to be one of those times. I'm reading The River of Doubt by Candice Millard, about Theodore Roosevelt's expedition of discovery down a tributary of the Amazon River in Brazil. I actually started this a while ago and then read several romances before getting back to it. After reading half the book, I now know for certain that there's no way I'd ever go there (biting bugs, venomous snakes, alligators, piranhas, malaria, etc., yikes!), but I still enjoy reading about these voyages of discovery.

Judy I have two review books to read now and one that I follow the series. So I have to stop writing to read those. I will most likely be reading Shirlee McCoy's latest in her Heroes for Hire series, Fugitive.

The Rocky Mountain Heiress Collection by Kathleen Y'Barbo. It is 3 of her previously released books in 1 ebook.

Rose (harnessrose) I just finished Life of Pi by Yann Martel (Not a fan. I'm not sure I would even want to watch the movie) and The Secret Circle: The Initiation and The Captive Part I by L.J. Smith (Good. I watched the tv show first. Very different from the book).
I'm almost finished reading Three People by Isabella Alden, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy and Felicity Story Collection by Valerie Tripp.

I read the first books by L.J. Smith and enjoyed them but had trouble watching the TV show as it was so different. Like the girl in the books is blonde and the TV show she has dark hair.

Belle Calhoune (BelleC) | 22 comments I am reading a book from a fellow LI author, Charlotte Carter. It's called Home to Montana. And so far, it's a great read. I love when authors bring a hero who gives the heroine the last things she wants or needs.

I agree. I always find it strange when tv changes the outward appearances of the characters. I guess it didn't bother me to watch the show because I did that first before reading the books.

Wow, everyone is really good books right now! I think I've read almost all of the romances listed. :)

Not that I've suddenly gotten a lot of free time, but I started a new habit lately. I've been taking a book into the bath and reading at night before bed, so I'm getting a book read each day. So far it's working well, but I know I won't always be able to indulge.

I'll admit to being a pretty exclusive romance reader. If there's no romance, I don't want to read it!!

message 18: by Rose (new)

Rose (harnessrose) I just finished Three People by Isabella Alden. She is the aunt of Grace Livingston Hill. I haven't read any books by either author. Three People was a good well-written book, but it was not my favorite.
Now I'm going to finish the last part of the Felicity Story Collection by Valerie Tripp.
