claudia Ok, so I picked up Glitch for a book club and I thought it looked like a good read. The summary on Goodreads sounded interesting and the cover, may I add, is gorgeous. So, I enjoyed this book until we got to page 107.

(view spoiler)

Does anyone want to add on to the list of things that we all hate about Maximin?

Sidrah LOL, i find this hilarious... Max is an A class asshole and im happy she didnt pick him but you have to give it to him, he really did love her and was willing to do soo much just for the two of them. You are right though, he was REALLY clingy and didnt seem to get the message but it was still heartbreaking when he decided to stay with the Chancellor.

Maddie Tiare He was an asshole. He basically assaulted her throughout the entire book. She was very clear that she didn't want what he was doing, but he kept going. And he kept getting jealous, which was totally uncalled for because she didn't like him.

When he decided to stay I was glad to be rid of him, but somehow I think that won't be the last we see of him, unfortunately.

message 5: by Bluegravity (new) - added it

Bluegravity Yes, but considering that they had no experience and no one to explain these set 'rights' and 'wrongs'... Even though *frown frown* they had some books that explained (to move the story forward and make them not complete reprobates of their emotions) certain expressions or registers of emotion, to say yes or no would be unthinkable in such circumstances. You kind of go with it until that little voice screams in your ear, "no, you fool!" and you realize that you shouldn't feel this way toward a person and still be doing these things or allowing these things with them. Yeah, he was a self-involved, gimme gimme; mine! Kind of person, who the world has seen so often. But at least sometimes in small ways he wasn't totally a lost cause, just an undisciplined one!

Ilana i feel like you wanted to believe that he was in it for a good reason, but i feel like he was just about the power- which we see as this book progresses. think about all the secrets that he hides from Zoe - from who he's shifting into (i wonder if there were more than we even knew about) and who he's working for. I think that there's also something to be said about a guy who 'can't keep it in his pants'. i mean seriously - you don't have to really understand emotions and all that to know that 'no means no' and that if one girl says no - don't go and take advantage of another one.

i haven't started override yet, but i sure do hope that he gets what's coming to him.
