Wow! That's rough. Good thing you aren't really a unicorn or they'd have to shoot you. (sorry, not funny.)
Yes, Angel (very pretty name!), I'll definitely pray for a quick healing for your leg.

Just wondering, Rachelle, how Corey and his family are doing. (I have been mistakenly been praying for Chad, but God knew who I meant!)

Hey, guys. Just got back from Florida last night. How's it going? So I have a prayer request. Early Wednesday morning, I apparently had a seizure (my friend told me she found me convulsing in the bathroom) and I was sent to the hospital. After running some tests (X-rays, a CT scan, and... a pregnancy test - seriously, a pregnancy test), they released me from the hospital and I was allowed to go to Epcot, but I'm going to the neurologist tomorrow. Would you guys pray that we get an answer so that we can figure out what's going on? Thank you!
Christi! That is so serious. I am glad they are continuing to follow up. I'll tell you, I went through a similar situation in college. My seizures never left me unconscious, but I went through more tests than I ever cared to have. I will certainly pray they come up with an answer for you quickly. And an easy treatment. Do me a favor, and if they put you on any medicines, let me know what they are. I was put on so many different "attempts" to fix my condition, and I think I can remember some effects I went through on different ones. One I will say, if at all possible, if they try to manage your seizures with Klonopin, ask for another opinion. That one doped me up so much, I literally can't remember much of my sophomore year. Please keep us updated.
All right, I will. Thank you so much.I also blogged about it, as I've been getting several questions about it. Though I'm flattered by the concern, it does get a bit tiring after a while, so it kind of explains what we know about what happened, along with other parts of my trip, parts that were far more pleasant. >.<

So we visited the neurologist, and he believes it was a grand mal seizure. We both think it was just a one time thing, but I'm scheduled to go in tomorrow and do an MRI just to be sure. Can't say I'm too excited, as I really don't want to sit there and try not to move, but at least it'll be more accurate than the CT scan. Hoping that it shows nothing. :)The downside is that I'm apparently not allowed to drive for another three months, but oh, well.
Yeah, my parents kind of still chauffeur me around since I'm afraid I'll kill someone out there. And thanks. X)
Trust me, you haven't even seen half the ditzy things I've done... if I can get distracted by a butterfly during a game of softball (in my defense, there were too many people on the team and I was put on "backup first base"), then I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be allowed to drive.
Actually, my defense for that is the fact that I fractured my elbow sometime during the season. I only had to wear the cast for 3 weeks, but I then had to go through physical therapy, so I was out until the very last game. I think the score was 21-0.
They may reverse the driving edict if your MRI is clear. Some people really freak out in MRI's, but I have always kinda found them relaxing (other than a lot of loud banging noises). Since they will be scanning your brain, it may take awhile, so be prepared for at least 45 minutes. And they will put a cage around your head (kind of like a catcher's mask) to help keep you from moving. I tell you all this so you will be prepared, and hopefully less nervous. I go for MRI brain scans often, and I kinda look forward to them (as long as they don't ask for one with contrast.) I'll pray all goes well. I hope it was what they origanally thought -just a reaction to the rides you were on - though that would kinda kill the rest of your amusement park days. Please keep us updated!
It went well. Only took around 20 minutes and the music was pretty relaxing. The last song they played was Fix You by Coldplay and it went sort of like this:Coldplay: When you try your best but you -
MRI: WOWOWOWOWOWOW
Coldplay: ...feel so tired but you can't -
MRI: WOWOWOWOWOWOW
But it wasn't too bad. We should have the results in 1 or 2 days. :)
Pfft, it took a short time because they already know how smart and awesome I am. They didn't need any more testing.
Positive. They also know about all my other good factors. Beautiful beyond belief, exceptionally talented in every area......and humble. :)
