I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I joined the Marine Corps at seventeen during Vietnam, served honorably and was discharged in 1975, serving several more years in both Army and Air National Guards. After a career in law enforcement covering twenty-plus years that didn’t end well, I turned to writing as a therapeutic alternative to offset the high blood pressure, bad heart and hyper tension I was left with.
After several short stories and some technical report writing that wasn’t satisfying my needs, I dove into fiction. That did the trick and "The Measure of a Man" was the result.
Hi FD! Wow what a life you led. Right now I am reading several books, Talismans by Graham Hancock, East of Eden (Steinbeck), Sources of Indian Tradition, Volume II and others.I just joined this group too - so I think it is what we make of it.
I will have to check your book out.
What are you reading these days?

It is at www.amazon.com under my name: F.D. Crandall.
Hope you enjoy it.
