The Mystics discussion

He walked through the tapesrty and opened the little door that she had shown him when they were together. He sighed and closed it behind him as he salking into the room and set her on her bed.

Still asleep, Andromeda curled up on her side and reached for him.

Jake sighed and let her touch his hand as he sat down on the edge of her bed. His other hand pushed her hair away from her face as he smiled seeing her reaction still the same as ever to him.

She let out another small sigh and clutched his hand as the baby kicked her in her sleep.

He looked down at her seeing the kick of the baby. He never once since then got to feel his childs kick, but he was scrared that he would wake her up if he did now. "I love you Andromeda" he said leanign down and kissing her cheek .

She murmured his name and a tear slipped down her cheek, her dream taking a turn for the worse.

He sighed wiping the tear from her cheek as he could tell she was having a bad dream but he wasnt sure if he should wake her up and deal with her anger.

Andromeda clutched his hand tightly and another tear slipped down her cheek, her face twisting in distress.

He couldnt take it any longer. "And you have to wake up" he said shacking her sligthlty to get her to wake up. He could see it turning worse as he shock her a little harder. "love you need to wake up" he said softly.

Tears started pouring down her face before she finally woke, though she was still half asleep and without waking up fully she wrapped her arms around him. Her body was shaking and she buried her face in his shoulder.

He put his arms around her and pulled her to sit side ways on her lap. "Shh its ok Andromeda, im right here" he soothed to her rocking her in his arms as he stroked her back kissing her head.

She calmed down and slowly woke up fully. She inhaled sharply and pushed him away, scrambling off his lap. "What are you doing?" She asked savagely.

"Be careful" he told her putting his hand out to keep her from falling. "you fell asleep so i brought you back her then you started crying calling out my name in your sleep" he told her looking at her his eyes worried.

She grit her teeth and wrapped her arms around herself. "I'm fine. Now leave." She snapped, wrenching herself from his steadying hand.

"No im not going yet. We have to talk about this, from this i know you still love me what is so wrong. You dumped me for getting you pregant i get that but i had no control over it i still want to be with you and help you with this Andromeda" he said frimly but full of feelings. "I love you Andromeda, and i want you back" he told her bringing her close to him as he leaned over and pressed his lips to hers caring but passionate.

She was frozen against him. Not moving but not pushing him away either. Finally she pulled away and buried her face in her hands. "That wasn't why." She mumbled, anguished.

"Then why was it Andromeda?" he asked lowering his voice seeing she was hurting. "Im here and i want you to talk to me" he told her putting a hand on hand moving her hands away as he lifted her chin so he could look at her. "You dont have to push me away anymore im here" he said softly.

"I-" She broke off, her features torn between her usual hostility and wanting to open up.

"Its alright to tell me i will listen to anything you say, im here for you always" he told her

"But you won't be." She said, her voice cracking.

"What are you talking about of course i will be" he told her pulling her back into his lap as he put his arms around her.

She struggled for a moment before breaking down. She sobbed into his shoulder. "No you won't."

"Tell me how i wont love" he told her stroking her hair as he rocked her in his arm like he used to when something upset her like this.

"You'll be dead!" She cried.

He stopped moving and looked down at her, "What do you mean ill be dead thats just stupid" he said to her frowning.

"It's not stupid. It's true." She sobbed.

"Then how do you know this, and why seprate from me if thats the case" he said making her look at him as he held her eyes.

"A long time ago Tomlin t-told me that the father of my first child would be k-killed b-because of m-me." She said between sobs.

"Love tomlins visions didnt alway come true, he thougth that jewel would die but she didnt" he told her kissing the side of her head. "And if its true then i would much rather spend my last days with you then away from you" he told her cupping her face.

"I never told anyone this but she did die." Andromeda said brokenly, pushing him away. "I couldn't find her pulse. We had to do chest compressions to get her heart going again."

Jake stopped as he forwned standing up and pacing for a second before coming back over to her. "SO you want me to leave and never be with you again cause i cant do that even if your the one that kills me. I thought you loved me ?" he asked her bending down on his knees in front of her.

She buried her face in her hands again, her shoulders shaking silently. She shouldn't have been so weak. If she had stayed away from him he wouldn't be in danger. And she wouldn't be breaking down like this either. But she couldn't stop, her body refused to listen anymore.

He sighed and picked her up in his arms as he moved to lay on her bed her laying on top of him as he pulled the covers over them and he did nothing but hold her stroking her hair.

"I can't be with someone if I'm the reason they're going to die." She finally choked out.

"We dont know it will happen alright. I dont wanna be with out you" he said resting his head in her hair taking in her sent.

"I can't live with the guilt." She said, shaking her head back and forth immediately. "And I can't-"live without you.

"It didnt say when i would die it could be in 10 years for all we know And" he said softly not wanting her to push him away like this.

"But-" She started, looking up at him.

"No buts.DO you love me?" he asked watching her eyes.

She opened her mouth but nothing came out. She couldn't deny it but she couldn't accept it either. As long as he stayed away from her he would be okay. He had to be. Her lips trembled and she pulled away and got off the bed.

"Andromeda dont run from me again please" he begged her looking over at her as he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. "DOnt do this" he whispered in her ear.

"I can't do this though. I just can't." She said, pulling out of his grip.

He looked at her sadly as she pulled away from him having her back turned from him. She doesnt want to live through me dying and she shouldnt have to but i want to be with her, he thought as tears started to come down his eyes as well but not enough to sob.

Andromeda ran into her bathroom and locked the door behind her, wrapping her arms around herself once it was locked.

He sat on the ground where she had left him and put his hand over his face." Why did i have to go fuck it up"he said softly as he couls still her crying from inside the bathroom.

After a while she just felt numb and dehydrated so she cleaned herself up to the point where you couldn't even tell she had been crying and walked out. She had a cup of water from the sink and sat with in a chair.

Jake stood in the passage between her room and the infermory watching her. He wasnt sure she wanted to see him at the momwnt. He just watched her hiding from her.

Andromeda rocked back and forth idly, sipping her cup and rubbing her stomach gently.

He left for a few minutes and returned with some food for her. He came out of the hiden passage and knocked on the frame work."i thought you might need something to eat"he said looking at her sheepish.

"Just leave it on the bed." She said dismissively, turning away from him.
