James Herbert R.I.P. Just found out today that James Herbert died last month. Completely stunned. The Rats was the first horror novel that I ever read as a teenager and I have been a fan ever since.
The Fog has one of the most notorious and memorable scenes in horror novel history: the school gym scene!

This site has now been taken down, presumably in the light of James's sad demise.
James Herbert is my inspiration, he was the first horror writer I really got in to. And the ghost of Sleath has to be the best ghost story ever written,

I found James passing very strange, there was very little info on it.
