Where lunch is served.

If I hear the word cosine one more time, I think I might break something. Or someone. She thought to herself. Katerina wasn't the biggest fan of maths and Mr Lamb made her hate the subject even more. Two more classes she thought to herself, two more.

The cafeteria was always buzzing with people. Apart from the throbbing headache, it's a nice distraction. You never know where that crazy mind of hers might wonder. She spent her whole lunch period staring and poking at her food.

Rachel came down from the roof, her crimson hair tickling the bare skin of her back as she settled down into the seat neighbouring Katerina. "Hey, mind if I sit here?" She asked casually.

Miranda walked into the cafeteria, visible. She got in line for school lunch and a boy came up behind her and goosed her. Miranda yelped and pushed him away. She looked at the metal railing you can slide you tray along and there was no reflection of her, as always.

Hearing a yell, Rachel turned around in her chair to see the angry girl from before. Rolling her eyes she turned back towards Katerina. "What's her deal?" She asked, talking about Miranda.

" Sure" Nodded Katerina. " We haven't been formally introduced with all that happened upstairs. I'm Katerina" She said smiling politely.

A tear slid down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away. I want to know what I look like... But because of the retarded power I can't. No reflection, she thought to herself, her insecurity taking over.

"Rachel." The girl responded, her words paired with a smile. "Do you happen to know where that guy went off?" She queried, her tone dropping down slightly, tinged with sadness. "He left before I could say hi." Mock pouting, Rachel turned back to the other girl. "And she seemed interested in him too."

" Her deal, I'm not interested in." Katerina was still pissed. " The guy from upstairs is meeting me after school. He's lex btw. Or so he told me " she shrugged. "I don't think he's interested in her, he shove her pretty hard" she smiled wickedly.

Rachel turned back towards Katerina. "Maybe he's more interested in you?" She asked playfully, wagging her eyesbrows in a suggestive manner.

" Maybe" She said playfully. " No I don't think so, he asked to crash at my place, waay to casual for him to be interested." She said shrugging. " He was staring at you most of the time. Hey, do you doze off like that often?"

Shrugging, Rachel looked down at her plate and begun picking at the food. "More often than not. I don't mean to do it."

" Wish I can doze off like that" a hint of pain in her voice. "I think I should run, I have English. Do you have classes now?"

Rambling through her bag, Rachel located and picked up her schedule and shook her head, "Nope, free period for me.."

"Okay then. See you after school? Lex will be there " she said playfully. Grabbing her bag and getting up.

Suddenly, Miranda was on the floor, covered in school lunch. The boy who had pushed her was now laughing. Miranda got up quickly, only to slip in spaghetti sauce and fell back Dow.

Katerina looks towards Miranda, she's not glad about her humiliation, nor is she particularly sorry for her. "I've done enough good for one day" she said to Rachel. "Bitch had it coming. Cya" she stormed towards class, trying to not think about helping the girl again.
