I am looking at getting a new daily reader bible soon. My current one is an ESV personal sized reference bible from crossway. It is truetone which is the primary reason I am replacing it. The outside cover is coming apart at the edges of the spine.

So, since I am replacing it and I don't want to have to replace another one for a long time, or never if possible, I am researching a few things. Cover type is big for the sake of longevity but format is my biggest concern. I can't give up the references or this would be a simple choice.

And to the actual question, can anyone recommend a daily reader research bible? I would love wide margin if possible.

So, I did finally get a new bible (about 2 weeks ago) and I love it. I got the ESV Wide-Margin Reference Black Goatskin Es746xrm. I got a used, "like new," copy from Amazon for over $150 off retail. I think as long as I take decent care of it I will be able to pass it down to my kids, if for nothing else as a keepsake.

Johnnie (berfer) | 42 comments I am currently using the ESV Journal bible for AM devotions. It has extra wide margins for notes and light lines to measure the note. My goal is to outline the entire Bible and am currently in Samuel. Next I want to do a historical trace on redemption using Edwards and a good cross ref for the OT. I have not decided what to do for the NT.
