I'm doing something new. For those that have been approved to receive the book, you will find your name at the bottom of the main post. If your name is there and you don't receive a copy within 24 hours, it is your responsibility to contact me, otherwise I think you received the book.
The two books are very different in tone/mood. So if the first one isn't your cuppa, give the second one a try, please. They can be read independently from each other.
If you have read this and reviewed it, you MUST post a link to your review here. Reviewers, please read the requirements!
hey Marni, I received both books. I've started reading Ann Angel's Freedom. I'm pretty sure I can finish both of them in time, but I wanted to tell you there's a chance I may not (starting a new job. Yay!) But I just wanted to let you know!

Ann Angel's Freedom by Katharina GerlachMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Thank you Katharina Gerlach for letting me read you book Ann Angel's Freedom Book one of Walsmann Family Saga. I enjoyed this Being an Historical and Fiction story you must have researched a lot for this book and i'm sure that took a lot of time to prepare your story plot and you definitely wrote this the story in a way that anyone reading it would feel the disappointments of the stipulations placed in the 18th Century of life and at the same time they were fighting for their rights. I Loved this story and the characters I finished this one and started book 2 right after. Loved it!

At the end of the 18th century, living on a rich farm like the one of the Waldmann family means lots of hard work and little time for privacy. Still, as long as Adam is working near her, Ann Angel Waldmann is happy. However, everything changes when her father decides to buy their freedom and starts a lawsuit to get it. How can life change for the better when Adam starts courting her mother?
This novel is based on the true history of the Waldmann family. It covers the time from 1799 to 1803 in the area of Osnabrueck, a time of world-wide changes. Beside the everyday worries about friends and families, people of the rural community have to cope with the results of the first and second Napoleonic wars. Even if they aren’t involved yet, war casts its shadow over the peaceful village.
