Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Wow, only two 5 star reads for me this month. And you know that's odd for me. They were... Desire Unchained (Demonica, #2) by Larissa Ione and Like No Other Lover (Pennyroyal Green, #2) by Julie Anne Long I just looked, and Desire Unchained was actually 4.5, so really only one. I'm surprised.

Even though I didn't give it 5 stars, I REALLY enjoyed Truly Madly Yours (Truly, Idaho, #1) by Rachel Gibson

Anyway, my least favorite for the month was The Dark Knight (Montagues, #4) by Elizabeth Elliott

These ones were disappointing:
Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James so many of my friends liked it and I expected much more from the book
A Little Bit Wicked (Last Man Standing, #1) by Victoria Alexander just one of the worst HR books I've ever read

This thread is terrible for me as well. Just when I thought I had my tbr under control...and then I see all this new shiny ones to distract me xD

Gea, I felt the same way! Odd woman out. I thought he was a conceited, immature, egotistical jerk. I did like the heroine a bit, if I remember, but then she stooped to his level of "game playing."

Hey! You just gave me a thought... we should have a challenge for the person who can add the most books to their TBR pile. LOL! I'd have a chance of winning that one. ☺

message 23: by June (last edited Mar 01, 2013 06:25PM) (new)

June (ladyjune) | 315 comments LoL..you ladies are funny :D

I read a lot of great book in Feb, hopefully I'll continue the trend for this month as well.

However one that stand out the most would be
I Do, I Do, I Do by Maggie Osborne
I love that book, its cheesy but really charming and delighful, it become my favorite book.

Other that also worth mentioning are
One Good Earl Deserves a Lover (The Rules of Scoundrels, #2) by Sarah MacLean
I love Pippa/Cross. Pippa is adorably odd while Cross, well lets say I have fondness for brooding lonewolf kind of hero, Oh and their love scene is hot!!!

Conor's Way by Laura Lee Guhrke
This book is beautifully written. I need to check more Laura Lee Guhrkee's earlier work.

Lord of Darkness (Maiden Lane, #5) by Elizabeth Hoyt
I had high expectation for this book and I'm not dissapoint. Its amazing!!

The Autumn Bride (Chance Sisters, #1) by Anne Gracie
I love Anne Gracie's The Rake but I haven't read other book from her because I keep comparing it with The Rake, until The Autumn Bride. Its lovely story.

Oh, I'm so glad you loved that one, June. It was fun. Not everyone liked that there were three heroines in it, but I did! LOL!

I have the Kindle version of Conor's Way by Laura Lee Guhrke lined up for my green book. Just love Laura Lee Guhrke's book. I hope I don't shuffle it around yet again!

GTK about Lord of Darkness (Maiden Lane, #5) by Elizabeth Hoyt - just started it today.

And I have One Good Earl Deserves a Lover (The Rules of Scoundrels, #2) by Sarah MacLean lined up on audio.

Hey...are you stalking me? Or do you just have the same great taste? LOL!

I have Bring Him Home by Karina Bliss and five minutes ago was banging my head in frustration looking for a HH book for the double decker challenge. Found it! Thanks ShoSho!

You're not alone anymore :) I agree with you about the hero, he destroyed the book for me, and the heroine couldn't make it much better than 3 stars read

LOL! I don't know with over 1100 books and counting, on my TBR that definitely won't be a hard challenge for me! LOL

message 31: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Well, I have them divided into three groups:

to-read ‎(870)
to-ponder ‎(233)
to-read-series ‎(612)

Total: 1,715

Nevertheless, Gigi, I meant how new books you could add in a month. LOL!

message 32: by Gigi, Moderator (last edited Mar 03, 2013 01:32PM) (new)

Gigi | 833 comments Whooaaaa!!! LOL

I'm so relieved to see that I'm not alone in the over 1100 TBR category.

Me too! I just enjoy Julie James's A Lot Like Love. But then, it not rock my world (haha :p). Sometimes I don't know why my friends crazed about her books.

Last month is pretty average to me. No 5 stars book, but lot of 4 stars and 2 stars books.

My favorite

Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews , loooove Kate! :D

Perfection (A Neighbor from Hell, #2) by R.L. Mathewson , not funny like the first. Hero is sexist pig, but he has me when he brought the heroine an e-reader!! (now, where I can find man like that? BF will not likely do it)

Angel's Ink (The Asylum's Tales, #1) by Jocelynn Drake , hero is tattoo artist also sarcasm is his middle name. I like it!

And least favorite ...

The Trouble With Fate (Mystwalker, #1) by Leigh Evans , heroine is whiny and also weak

The Locket by Stacey Jay , beware of teen angst and drama!

Silent Warrior (Dragon Kings, #0.5) by Lindsey Piper , I hate the insta-thing in this novella. PNR doesn't mean all thing from love to mate to wed must be fast.

message 34: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (icanhasbooks) I have another 4.5 star to add, I was still reading it when I made the list. :)

A Necessary Deception (The Daughters of Bainbridge House #1) by Laurie Alice Eakes

message 35: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I'll add two, also:

Half Moon Bay by Meryl Sawyer , by Meryl Sawyer ★★★★½
Wife by Wednesday (The Weekday Brides #1) by Catherine Bybee , by Catherine Bybee ★★★★½

message 36: by ~Megan~ (last edited Mar 05, 2013 08:21PM) (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) My only 5 star February read:

My Favorite Mistake (My Favorite Mistake, #1) by Chelsea M. Cameron

Only one in a month....that's pretty bad for me.

Honorable Mention:

Working Stiff (Revivalist, #1) by Rachel Caine Human Hieroglyphix (Human Hieroglyphix, #1) by J.A. Hornbuckle Blood Hunt (Sentinel Wars, #5) by Shannon K. Butcher

January was a much better month for me, but I got behind and missed the list :(
