So I'm not finished yet and it was my fault to look at the Forever thread, so I know Cole is dying or almost dying. But last night, I read the secene in the kitchen, where Isabel says at the end of that chapter: "You're an addiciton" Remember? I had to thought of the Taylor Swift Song All Too Well.
There she sings:
we're dancing round the kitchen in the refrigerator light, down the stairs, i was there
i remember it all too well
It just fits the situation so perfectly.

OMG IKR???? That song reminded me so much of the series! for both Sam and Grace AND Cole and Isabel.
Both their relationships are so argh idk how to describe it! Just beautiful!!!!

yeah and now I just read the secene where cole and isabel are in the lab and kissing under the counter and oh my gosh, too much emotions.
yeah same, I was glad he decided to help them in the end. Not so sure about their new place though, I liked Back's house!
Yes! And I never cried that much while reading a book. I knew Cole wan't going to die, but it really felt like it and Beck just died and the last words he said to Sam were just so touching and this book has killed me.
OMG IKR??? THE LAST WORDS HE EVER SAID AND OMG I BURST INTO TEARS AFTER HE DIED AND HIS LAST WORDS!!! !OH GOD SO SAD!!!!
I loved the ending, loved it I love how it left the rest of it up to interpreteations, It was beautiful and the perfect ending, knowing that their life could go on like that. :)

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I cried when I read Maggie Stiefvater's Note at the end of the book:
So this is goodbye to mercy falls.
Still can't believe it's over. Do you know what's funny? I'm german, but I read the series in english so it was really easy for me to understand all the german quotes and poems. It was really funny, because in one scene, Cole says to Isabel "You're a mensch", remember? And he said it's a word Sam once said. And, well, it was so funny to me, because it's a german word and I just laughed really loud.
I don't know how that should work in the german translation. When everything's in german and the he says you're a mensch. I'm so glad that I've read it in english. :)

ha ha, I had so much trouble understanding the german! lucky you! I was like, ummm, translation??? he he
but I understood tiny bits of it, coz I'm part Dutch and I've done Italian and Latin based languages too. :)
Sam is the most gorgeous sweetest guy you could ever hope to meet. :) So glad at the ending with the yellow autumn leaf...LIKE A RING!!! XD I cried when the lsat page came too!

haha, yes, I guss this time I am lucky that I am german :D
I love Sam, I think he is the perfect boyfriend, but in my opinion, Cole is more intresting :)

he he, I want my own Sam. And yeah, Cole is more of the broken guy who needs something to make his life worth living, I always feel sorry for those characters and usually I'm drawn to the bad boys and stuff, but Sam was already so fragile and then his love for Grace is just so much and epic and real. I love that.
I want my own Cole. He is so perfectly imperfect. When I was reading Forever, I always was like: "I love Cole St Clair, I love him, he is so perfect!" I guess all my friends at school were a little bit annoyed :D
But I think Sam is the sensitive guy. He could make a girl feel special you know? :)

I want Sam, but so many of my friends have already dibs-ed him and I'm just like, oh well, I'll have him anyway. I want a love like that. :)
I didn't get the cure...it was confusing. Does it gradually heal them from being a wolf? was that it? I just need it explained a bit, maybe I'll re-read it again. :)
I don't really know. I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I think that Sam will be a wolf again, but I'm not sure :D
I think it is that the cure works but gradually, so they could be wolves for a little, and then they will become wolves les and less and when they have children they don't pass the wolf gene on.
(it's a when, not an if, sam and grace are gonna be amazing parents!)

so these places are what some of the places in Mercy Falls and Duluth are based off.
I’ve been told by many readers that it’s impossible to find on a map, and I’m sorry. Shiver originally took place in Ely, MN, which is a real place, then Bishop, MN, which is not, and finally Mercy Falls. In my head Mercy Falls is quite near Ely and the Boundary Waters. Outside of my head, it’s quite near nothing at all, as it doesn’t exist. That part of Minnesota, however, does host a very real population of gray wolves.
Other real places in the books include the candy shop (based on Wythe Candy in Williamsburg, VA), the Crooked Shelf (based on Riverby Books in Fredericksburg, VA), and Ben’s Fish and Tackle (although I won’t reveal where the store it was based on is located, to protect the identity of the sweaty man who owns it).

ha ha. No pun intended.
I absolutely loved The Shiver Trilogy. It was so real in the fantasy and so beautifully written.
And I love the character development and also how the issue of not having a cure and having to face facts and real life and experiment. That part felt so real to me, and I was glad it wasn't a cliched, 'we found the exact right cure! Yay!' kind of thing. They went through hardships and other problems and in the end, it isn't all focused on the wolf part, it's the whole story and that's why I absolutely love the Shiver Trilogy.

My mum just started reading Forever for the first time. :)

Same! And he's got that tortured musician thing going on like Sam, but in a different way. And to me, his character really explores the complexity of humanity. There are stereotypes but Cole's breaking them all and all in all, HE'S JUST REALLY LOVABLE AND AWESOME!!!
haha there are always so many people prefering Sam but idk Cole always had my heart from the first time he appeared in linger...
I love all of them. I can't choose! Don't make meeeee!!!
I just love all the characters in each of their own ways.

OMG ME TOO!!! IT WAS SO HEARTBREAKING!!!!
and then that sentence when it's like
"Da?"
and that's it.
oh god I lost it then too. The tears redoubled, came back!

*sniff*
so sad.
And then, oh god what's her name, the bookshop lady who Sam works for and how he was telling her about how Beck had cancer and then omg Olivia! :(
but at least they have that house now, and in my head, Sam and Grace are living there, looking after the wolves and Grace will have graduated and they will have gotten married and had babies. XD
AND CAN I JUST SAY THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS IN THE BACK MAKE ME CRY TOO!!!!

I like your end :), I also liked the book end, because you could just imagine your own end. Mostly I hate ends like this, but here it felt right. Like it was meant to be this way.
