Miss Pettigrew - Conjectures

I liked the ending of the book better as well- It made me extremely happy.
It may have been easier to dismiss Miss Pettigrew if her purpose was clear. Delysia mentioned that she prefered not to know, because it seemed more mysterious and fantastic.
I don't know what their lives will be like, but I hope they continue to be so fabulous. It seems like Michael would allow them to behave as they do, as long as Delysia doesn't continue sleeping with other guys.
I wonder if Delysia will ever convince Miss Pettigrew to participate in theatre? Maybe if it was a small skit at a party...

I think the slightly "mistaken identity" plot just makes the story more fun and the unfolding more serendipitous (did I spell that right?!) Then, when she goes out to the club dressed fashionably, she continues that "disguised identity" by dressing as a socialite and joining the party, so to speak. It's Cinderella, isnt it? With Joe as the more down-to-Earth Prince Charming.
So my questions are...how would Miss Pettigrew's day been different if she had told Miss Lafosse from the beginning why she was at her door? Also, what happens after the end of the book? What are Miss Pettigrew's and Miss Lafosse's lives like?
