So, here's the thing: Two months ago, I was laid off work. I live in Michigan, so that's not too much of a surprise. Since applying to the small amount of jobs available here is done w/in one hour each day, I have started a novel. Writing has always been my passion, and well, now I have time to enjoy it. So, I gave myself a 3000-word-per-day goal. Easily guessed, that didn't work. Then I gave myself a 1500-word-per-day goal. That kinda worked. Some days it did, some days it didn't. And so, I'm here. With the 1500 word-per-day goal reinforced. Maybe if I'm posting on here, I'll actually force myself to get my writing done. My goal is to complete this novel before starting work again. (Unfortunately in this economy, I may have enough time to write two novels before someone will finally respond to one of my applications!! Ugh!) Anyway... 1500 per day.... GO!

Awesome job, Sherry! I'm sorry about your job loss, times ARE hard in Michigan (I live there, too). But it's a nice state, so....
