I read a book summary that sounded like a good read. Now I can't remember for the life of me who it is. I tried google but got nothing. It was about a boy whose sister disappears into the woods, and shows up when he is a grown man. I think fairies are involved. I am not sure if it is sci-fy or a ya story, but I do know it was written by a man. It also seemed like he'd written a fair amount of books. Help me please!

Jennifer, if nobody here knows the name, there is a group here on Goodreads just for this type of question, called "What's The Name of That Book???".

You might want to post your description on that group also.

This happened to me too Jenifer! It's of a book I ended up not buying Years and years ago, (late 90s/early 2000s) and I vaguely remember it's about a woman who went to be a lobster fisherman, er fisherwoman and it's a photo of her on the cover on deck I think, in those red/orange overalls, holding a lobster. I believe she had brown/black hair.Great to know Sheila! I may have to post over there sometime!
I have literally had to make spread sheets of all my books, read, on Kindle, and in my book shelf. I even have them by author. I go somewhere and look at a book, and for the life of me, I can't remember if I've read it or not. Either I love to read TOO much, or I am TOO old!!
Jennifer -- Do you remember when you looked it up? If it is not too long ago, hit Ctrl-H (on PC at least, I dunno about Mac) to pull up your web browsing history. If you have a vague idea of when you looked it up and where you looked (GoodReads or Amazon), then you might be able to find the page. Just an idea.GL.
Thank you all! I thought someone in this group was reading it, but I honestly can't remember. Thanks Sheila, heading that way now!
Not sure what book this is but it reminds me of The Stolen Child by Keith Donahue. If you haven't read this one, I think you'd like it.
I think you may be talking about Some Kind Of Fairy Tale by Graham Joyce. If not, hope you find the book.
