So guys, what do you think will happen now that there's a new dhampir gaurdian, Neil Raymond, who's probably going to play a bigger part in The Fiery Heart.

Should we start shipping NeilxAngeline and/or ZoexNeil?

Or is he just going to cause problems, like Sydney's sister probably will?

I hope he's not going to be paired up with anyone. I'm getting tired of all the love triangles and romantic relationships being thrown into the spin-off books. The Bloodlines series has way more relationships going on than the VA series ever did. Mead needs to find a better way to make the supporting characters useful instead of just giving them all someone to date so they have something to do.

I think it would be better if his purpose were the same as Zoe's, to spy on Sydney for the Alchemists. It's too obvious that's the reason Zoe has been sent, but Sydney wouldn't be expecting her superiors to use a dhampir to spy on her activities.

Eh.... I hope Neil's just a side character... Zoe has already arrived, and she's probably going to cause trouble for Sydney if she catches Sydney doing very un-Alchemist-like things...

I'm sure most of us felt the same way about Sydney's association with Abe before we learned her reasons. Could be that Neil is in their debt somehow. The Alchemists hate Dhampirs and Moroi but that hasn't stopped them from working with vampires when they consider it necessary.

Maybe that theory is a little far fetched but I'd still prefer Neil being planted in the school to spy on Sydney for someone than being stuck with yet again another character who is falling for Jill, Angeline, or Sydney. I'm already having a hard enough time trying to keep track of all the romances in this series without another person being thrown into the mix.

Well, the fact that Stanton is behind this so called reinforcement, and ofcourse that Sydney has been lied to, by her as well, only proves that Neil's appearance in the series is not for a nobble cause.
Zoe's enthousiasm and need of her father's approval will most certainly cause problems, but maybe not in the sence we think. Maybe, after she experiences the situation first hand, she too will start to see things with a different eye.
What I think will happen is that Sydney will get caught afterall and send to re-education.
What that will mean for her relationship with Adrian is something i don't want to speculate on but i think it will lead Adrian to his total transformation as a character as Rose predicted in the last VA book, telling him that he is not a hero yet.
Which makes the anticipation for the 5th installment even greater :p

Yeah that's what i was thinking, since if Zoe falls for Neil somehow since he's like human in appearance, she'll think twice about ratting Sydney out to the Alchemists if she finds out.
But then there's the possibility that he's like some sort of spy... well i hope he's not.

I really hope that Zoe and Niel get together. I think it will totally fix a lot of things. However, I find it kind of unlikely. And I really don't want a Niel and Angeline thing because I want it to be Trey and Angeline.

Is it just me or i think that Jill will find Neil interesting. I hate this idea but... Eddie and Jill all the way, for sure! I want Zoe out of the way and i hope they like each other so she can leave Sydney alone. I know I'm being mean but i don't really like Zoe.

I am so excited that we get the next one this year, rather than wait all the way until next. :)) Can't wait. I'm even thinking of rereading all of VA and Bloodlines before the new one comes out.
