I had read "Room" a while back and loved it. It does make you think. I'm not sure that I would have been that strong if I was in that position. For those of you who like it, I read another book written through the eyes of a child, but a completely different topic. It's called "What I Did". If you like room, you might want to check this one out as well.http://sewolf0310.blogspot.com/2012/0...

I tried reading this, but couldn't handle the boy's dialogue. Seems to be one of those 'love it' or 'loathe it' books.
It is a bit difficult, you need to put yourself back into child mode and think like a small child. If you can do that, it makes it a bit easier.
Yes...Once you realize you have to think like a 5yo child, it becomes so much easier to understand the language of the book. This was a gripping, disturbing, and yet endearing portrayal of the relationship between mother and child. I loved this book!

It was gripping, emotional and disturbing but a good read.
I loved this book. I loved the isolation that became their life... And how they seemed to live a somewhat fulfilling life.
