Do you have to read the other series to understand this one?

Nope, not at all. This was made as a young adult book so it doesn't need any reading of the adult ones. I love this series! I didn't even realize it was based off the others, plus there are like 30 plus others lol.

um, a little bit. i read this first, then the other CoN books, then then dark-hunters and i think that made a huge difference. people who read DH first were more confused, because it was not in sync with the DH books, but you learn about that more in book 3. just read them. it eventually makes perfect sense

I know that you don't have read the original series to understand Sidney because it really does make a whole lot of sense from the first two books that I have read completely. Also, I hope this information helps you out Sidney.
