Does anyone see this as a possibility? It seems there are clues that they might be hooking-up, despite her being with the sailboat guy. One example is when Rush mentions that he must know the guy Nan has in her bedroom after visiting unexpectedly. He thinks that it's strange that the guy is still there because of the time and that she must really like him. Also, Grant is all of a sudden sympathetic to Nan and taking up for her against Rush. I hope I'm wrong 'cause I really like Grant and can't stand Nan, but I have a bad feeling. Yuck! He could do so much better!

Um, I don't think so... I mean, yeah, it seemed like that first, but honestly? It just seems so... so gross...
after i read the bonus chapters from the different POV that were released.. i'm thinking Grant and Nan are going to be a thing... i can feel it! haha
Yeah, there are so many things in NTF that sort of hint at that possibility. Personally, I don't like the idea of Nan and Grant but I guess we'll find out when Grant's book comes out. I'm hoping that Grant just has a new brotherly affection for her and nothing more... but who knows, maybe Nan will be different after the accident and maybe she'll redeem herself somehow. Maybe.
I have a really strong feeling that Ms. Glines is setting us up for a future Nan/Grant relationship, which I honestly think is gross and ridiculous.I think she’s trying to redeem Nan’s character and in my opinion it’s a big mistake. Nan was awful and if she hooks up with Grant it’s not something that I want to read about.
M. Leighton is doing this with Marissa’s character in Down to You/Up to Me and it’s weird. Authors shouldn’t create a character that’s essentially there to be the antagonist, putting the main H/h through Hell, and then try to make them the star in a future novel. It just doesn’t work and I think having her hook up with her BROTHER (whether it’s step or not) is a really bad idea.
Just my opinion :)
I thought so too. And all the unnecessary plot twist (Abe not being Nan's father) is a set up for the Grant/Nan book, since for evident reasons, there is just no way, Nan is getting her own book. Also the chapter from Grant's pov, strongly hints at it.
Lacey wrote: "Does anyone see this as a possibility? It seems there are clues that they might be hooking-up, despite her being with the sailboat guy. One example is when Rush mentions that he must know the guy N..."Totally agree!!!
I totally started to think the same thing, especially towards the end of the story. But that sort of bugged me, mainly b/c I don't like Nan. I think she acted like a spoiled brat. Yes, it's sad that she didn't grow up with a father, but for her to behave as she did towards Blaire is just down right wrong. When Rush found out about her accident, I didn't feel sorry for her. I'm hoping Grant doesn't end up with her in the next book. She's a villain and doesn't deserve someone as nice and good as Grant.
I hope we're wrong. I refuse to read a book that has Nan as a heroine or ending up with good-guy Grant. I still haven't read Dirty Red by Tarryn Fisher because I couldn't stand Leah in the Opportunist, and I absolutely loved that book. (I just don't want to read anything from Leah's POV.). And I definitely don't want to read anything that tries to redeem Nan. She's a total B!!!
Oddly I'm sort of hoping Nan redeems herself... I'd like to see some groveling and begging for forgiveness. Haha but I agree she's not good enough for Grant.
Nope, not the same mother. Nan and Rush's mom married Grant's dad for a while, but of course that didn't last too long. So they were step-siblings.
i think so too.. nan and grant end up together although grant deserve better :( hope nan will change in the end coz she's a brat bitch LOL
Lacey wrote: "Does anyone see this as a possibility? It seems there are clues that they might be hooking-up, despite her being with the sailboat guy. One example is when Rush mentions that he must know the guy N..."I totally agree! I think it was Grant in the bedroom.
I think Nan will redeem herself.. she will probably learn her lesson.. you know almost dieing and all she'll discover whats right/wrong make amends and all that business.
I thought something was going on with Nan and Grant during NTF...from the time Rush stops by Nan's place and she has someone in the bedroom but he won't come out or leave while Rush is there. Then the other hints...like how Grant is making excuses for Nan's bad behavior and Rush thinks's it weird based on their usual relationship and how she wants to be a part of Rush and Blaire's child's life. My instincts say there's def something up! Abbi is definitely leading us toward Nan's redemption.
When I read the bonus chapter and Grant is saying that Nan is different since the accident...oh boy! Abbi will have to write an epic story for me to believe that. She did too good of a job making Nan's character into such a royally, unlikable, spoiled BITCH...I just can't get on board with her being changed and definitely not being with Grant who I've liked since the 1st chapter of FTF.
Grant def deserves better...plus they grew up together as step-sibs. If Rush is his brother, then Nan is is SISTER! It's not incestuous (technically) but weird...find Grant a new girl!!

The animosity between Nan/Grant could be explained by their attraction for each other, since they were forced step siblings.
I thought that Abbi put on her facebook page that Nan and Grant would not be together? Or maybe I am getting confused and she said no to Nan and Woods?
I know they are not blood siblings, but if you grow up with someone every day for 12yrs they are your sibling (for the same reason Rush & Grant still consider themselves brothers) and that is just over the top gross, if Abbi Glines takes it there I think I'll lose all respect!
I think Nan and Grant will mostly end up together.. but it's just so gross.. I mean they were raised as brother and sister! Also,I love Grant and I hate Nan but it would add a twist to the story that would probably keep me reading.
Danielle wrote: "I thought that Abbi put on her facebook page that Nan and Grant would not be together? Or maybe I am getting confused and she said no to Nan and Woods?"I don't see Nan and Woods as a possibility because Wood DEFINITELY hates Nan. This is pretty clear in NTF. But Nan and Grant could still be possible based on the things that seemed to be happening with them/between them throughout NTF.
I would hate it if Nan and Grant became a couple! I couldnt stand her in FTF and NTF! Grant deserves someone who is much sweeter, self-less and loving and Nan is non of those. Secondly he is her step brother and ended up living with them for several years. Heck I was a little bothered by Rush and Blair hooking up because they were step siblings, but at least she didnt met him tell she was 19. Grant grew up with Nan and if he considers Rush as a brother would he not consider Nan as a sister?I would probably still read a book that she was apart of because drama always makes for a good read. Someone needs to tame that crazy chick!
the brother and sister aspect doesn't bother me, they don't share the same DNA. what bothers me is such a good guy like grant fell for that witch. I know it sounds terrible, but I can't wait till she finds out that Blaire's dad isn't her dad. I really don't mind if bad things happen to her.
I hate the idea of these two together. Grant is such a sweetheart and Nan is just pure evil. I hate the idea of this.
Lacey wrote: "Does anyone see this as a possibility? It seems there are clues that they might be hooking-up, despite her being with the sailboat guy. Well how about this: Was Grant who was in Nan’s bedroom? How am I supposed to know? I was in Rush’s head in that POV You will have to wait and see.

Teaser much?
I also think Nan is a witch, but I think redemption is in the cards for this witchy lady. And it has been stressed out in the book that the two don't consider each other as siblings AT ALL. Or even step siblings for that matter. And Ms. Glines likes more provocative topics and this (two raised as siblings but are not blood related) definitely falls into that category.
Lacey wrote: "Does anyone see this as a possibility? It seems there are clues that they might be hooking-up, despite her being with the sailboat guy. And I'm also thinking he was the one in her bedroom!

She needs to redeem herself! In a BIG way!
I see a lot that because Nan and Grant were step siblings, that it's wrong. Wouldn't that argument be the same for Rush and Blaire? Technically, they too are step siblings. His mother and her father married. Right now. Putting, that aside, I don't see anything wrong with Nan and Grant getting together. And here is my reasoning:Nan is a hurt girl. Very hurt. She grhout a mother who gave a shit about her. For years she thought her father loved these other girls and didn't give a shit about her either. In steps in her brother, Rush, who is not only her sibling but acts as her mother AND father. He feels such guilt and such love for her that he spoils her in any way that he can. He feels obligated because, really, she has no one else. She grows up thinking no one else loves her except her brother. She clings to thia in the only way can, with angst and now with hatred towards this other family. It's what drives her day in and day out. Her brother is all she has. All ofsudden in walks in the one person she hates andbehold, her brother falls for that person. The one person she counted on will no longer be there for her. This her mentality. She knew this day would one day come and it scares the shit out of her. Once he's gone, who does she have now?
Ling story short, I DO want her with Grant, now more then ever since she had her mini redemption in the hospital. Nan isn't a bad person. She's just like any other girl that's been given a shitty life. No amount of money can make up for that. For all the money she has had, she's a lonely girl that has no one else in her life.
I know I am in the minority in wanted them together but doesn't everyone deserve a second chance?
P.S. sorry for the rant/vent. I seem to always aide with the bitchy girls....
Myo wrote: "LOL Daddy issues are not excuses for behaving nasty. She is 21 already for crying out loud. No one with daddy issues should get away with murder or else because she has the best excuse for her bad ..."Couldn't agree more. From one who has major daddy issues take it from me, it does NOT justify you being an out and out piece of sh*t bitch. Nuh-unh, no, never.
I definitely think the set up in NTF was for Nan & Grant to get together. I think it will be great. Nan was a product of her screwed up childhood with an evil mom that made the daddy issues so much worse. I think it will be good to see it all come together.
It's different to grow up with your step-siblings from childhood than meeting them once you're grown and have no shared history. For me, the reason a relationship between Nan and Grant is strange is because if Grant looks at Rush as his brother, then why is Nan not his sister?
Not to mention, Grant's feelings don't seem to have just formed after her accident when she is moving toward an attitude change. If he was the one in her bedroom then she was still very much in spoiled, bitch mode then...just like she's been most of their lives. I find it difficult to suspend belief that he'd now magically find Nan attractive considering he's always seen her as a brat for half their lives. If we were allowed to see Nan's change and then Grant grew to have feelings for her I'd still be a bit weirded out by the step-sibling thing but see the plausibility of a relationship. Just me 2 cents...

I think Grant and Nan will an item. I agree that Grant should get someone Nan. I don't like Nan b/c it's a selfish and spoil brat. From the bonus chapter, it seems like they're set up to be an item.
Lacey wrote: "Does anyone see this as a possibility? It seems there are clues that they might be hooking-up, despite her being with the sailboat guy. But maybe Nan will come around.
Yes there were definitely hints to them hooking up which is just ridiculous! All this stepbro/stepsis romance IMO is just crazy in these books....smdh
The minute Grant started to be nice to her I thought...oh no. I have a feeling that somewhere they hooked up...
Valerie wrote: "Oddly I'm sort of hoping Nan redeems herself... I'd like to see some groveling and begging for forgiveness. Haha but I agree she's not good enough for Grant."Completely agree.
If you really want to know, then check out Abbi Glines's Facebook page where she put up a sneak peak from Twisted Perfection which clears up some of our suspicions (about Nan and Grant) and then some. I didn't post it hear because I didn't want to spoil it for anyone but you can check it out over here .

OMG I am definitely going to give that book a miss. Ick ick ick, it was bad enough trying to stomach her in FTF and NTF, no way could I cope with an entire book dedicated to her. I'll save my pennies :D
Bev, I totally 100% agree with you. I'm so done. There are too many other good books to read rather than force myself to stomach more Nan! No way could she ever redeem herself enough in my eyes to be good enough for Grant.
UGH!!!! I hope not... I frecking HATE Nan...
I do not sympathize with her one bit.
She is a spoiled B.I.T.C.H!
Hmm...hmm.hmm... Abbi is totally setting it up that way but hopefully it's for a real shocker. I mean, how many times can we play the relationship with stepbrother? It's weird and it's gross..
Just like Rosalie from Twilight, she was once hated. I think Blaire and Nan will somehow end up okay...that's the last issue with Rush and Blaire's relationship.
I hope its more than..ohhh she got in a accident and now she's change..

I agree... I haven't read the bonus chapter yet, but I do think Nan & Blaire will be ok. Especially when at the end of the book Rush tells Blaire that Nan hopes Blaire will allow her to be apart of her Niece's life.
We shall see...
I just hope Nan finds some one else.. I love Grant, he deserves some one nice.
I honestly don't mind if they are a thing, Nan was a bitch in the first two books, but nothing is black and white, she went through a lot of crap too. I think i'll give her a chance. Plus i really like Grant. xxx
