Classics Without All the Class discussion

Fans of the show "House" know that the protagonist Gregory House is a genius in solving medical mysteries, much like Holmes solved mysteries. In fact, House and Holmes have many more similarities.

For example, Holmes lived on 221 Baker Street while House lives in apartment 221B. There are many more obvious and some less obvious parallels between the two characters.

How many can you name?

1) Both have a dependency: House for Vicodin and Homes for cocaine

2) Both are Languid and lazy when there isn't a case (medical for House, criminal for Holmes)

3) Both have big deduction capacities, applied in diagnosis (House) and fighting crime (Holmes)

Holmes was based on a doctor and House is a doctor. Both have massive egos to the point that Gregory House is an anagram for Huge Ego Sorry.

In the 11th episode of season 5 of House, Wilson pretends that House used to date a woman named "Irene Adler"

Also the main patient in the pilot is named Rebecca Adler in honor of Irene.

Both are aloof except towards their good friends, Wilson and Watson

Both have musical talents. House plays the piano and the guitar and Holmes plays the violin.
