Destroy Me discussion

I'm totally in love with Warner but I know that the villains never get what they want and what they deserve. So I hope Juliette and Warner will be together but in my heart I know that this will never happen.
So thank you Tahereh Mafi to have created this amazing character and to throw him in the garbage at the end of everything.

see i think that he was set up to be the villian in the beginning just for the sake of having a bit of conflict and to show adam as the good guy, but i think that after reading destroy me and then unravel me, i think that he's definitely not the bad guy unless he's playing both sides and is truly evil deep down.

i'll stick to being on team warner for a while since i think that book 2 really gives us a good sense of who he is and what he means to juliette. let's just hope that tahereh does us right by making it end up all smiles for him

I think that he just deserves happiness after, you know, his horrible childhood.
He's truly in love with Juliette maybe because they're really similar and because they've experienced horrible things and so on.
He's growing thanks to her so I think that they should be together after all.
If I made some mistakes I apologize, I'm Italian. But I hope you understand what I wanted to explain :)

I hope Warner ends up with Juliette. He has no one except maybe his elusive mother. He needs some love! Adam has his little brother, so he'll be okay.

First of all, thanks, it's not easy to write in a different language. I read only in English and I understand almost everything, but when I have to write I'm always scared of doing stupid mistakes.
By the way I think that Adam deserves Juliette's love as much as Warner, but, as you have already told, he has his brother and Kenji. Warner is alone and for once in his life he has the possibility to be happy. I hope that Tahareh will see the situation as I do.

Haven't you read Destroy Me? The guys's so sweet and charming there. Isn't that a proof to you that he is the leading man of Juiette! Have some small amount of dignity!

Help guys! Could anyone explain this text to me?

(A belated, slightly irrelevant observation, but one that occurred to me nonetheless: It doesn’t seem possible that she’s had any experience with the opposite gender. This, compounded by a lifetime of degradation and isolation, leads me to believe that she has no grasp on the extent of her physical attractions. This is a weakness that must be remedied somehow; she could use this information to her advantage. She must be able to understand—and harness—every tool in her arsenal. ^This text means that the narrator(Warner?) has observed that Juliette(I am assuming that the 'SHE' here is Juliette) has no experience or interactions with Males/Guys. And add to that the fact that she spent her life alone, then this means that Juliette is not aware of how 'Beautiful and Attractive' she is. Warner(?) will ensure that Juliette understands this fact and that she be able to use this attractiveness as a weapon.

I agree with Talia. I do wish Warner ends up with Juliette. But...
Since he has it easy with Juliette (He being able to hold her without any consequences) I think he is not meant to be Juliette's. :( So sad. I really really love Warner.

Oh My God, I love this discussion. Happy to find people who understand me! I dont know why I love Aaron. There's just something in him you can't resist. Maybe it's his eyes, his green eyes, or the way he hides himself in the dark but still continue to show his emotions in front of Juliette. I don't know, can't find the right word for him! But he's definitely something!

After Shatter me I was intrigued by Warner's character but after reading Destroy me..**boom** I am team Warner all the way. He is just passionately,madly and desperately in love with Juliette.Aaron Warner all the way....god I will kill someone for dat kind of guy.He totally loves Juliette,he cares for her so damn much.He is ready to take any risk to keep her,he understands her.he is ready to redeem himself.I love him toooo damn much

At the beginning I was undecided between Aaron and Adam but after the chapter 62 of Unravel Me, I had no doubt.
Warner and Juliette have to be together, they're perfect for each other. By the way I'm still convinced that Tahareh won't give to Warner his happy ending, because I'm feeling this. And I'm always right, unluckily .

o my gosh i freaking love Warner!! when i read Shatter Me, I was leaning towards Adam, but in Unravel Me, Warner really surprised me with his sweetness and character development!! I really hope juliette and Warner end up together because they are sooooo cute and they have more in common anywayz!

Rooting for Aaron Warner! I think what he feels is, indeed, love. Well, Adam's seems to be somehow a puppy love, because he never actually KNEW her, it was almost all physical attraction supported with little fascination(his stories of Juliette's kindness ever since gradeschool ) while ...... but then there's Warner who, a gentleman with an edge come up with a very striking character. His love for Juliette actually builded up. His is much more sincere and I can say he seems hotter when he gets jealous than Adam. And he never falters not to endear Juliette with 'love'

Warner is better than Adam, and I think he will prevail in the end, or die because everyone hates him...

In Destroy Me, I really started to love Warner. But I in no way can choose him over Adam. Adam just isn't creepily obsessed with Juliette like Warner is. Adam's character is a little more deep.

They both love Juliette, in my opinion, but there is something deeper in the way Aaron loves her.
He knows her, he knows her past and he simply accepts her. Maybe he was bad and he have hurt her in the past, but he's just like her. They're meant to be together.
I love Adam, but their relationship is empty. It seems to me that they are together only because they like each other, but nothing more.

Yes, thats exactly right! there's no substance in Adam and Juliette's relationship, but with Warner it's the complete opposite! They are so meant to be!

let's be honest, girls. the entire serie is about Warner and Juliette. it never has nothing to do with Adam.It was always Warner.

Why should tahereh wright that Juliette will end up with Adam when the entire serie is about Warner???

In the first book many of us saw Warner like a villian, but this serie is not like others. Tha's why I know it will have a diferent ending. SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO if tahereh mafi let Juliette end up with Adam i'm going to kill me cry. Cause that wouldn't be a different ending.

yep I'm super sure too that it was Warner all along, I want Warner till the end of course, Juliette has always been afraid to open herself up to Adam, even about her past, what she's been through, What she thinks about the world and her family, Warner loves her in every possible way, and I think Juliette actually liked it when they had their first kiss. and now I really think she's also in love with Warner she was just too afraid to realize it. Aaron's love is way deeper than Adam's. Warner & Juliette are meant to be together. There is flaming fire between them!

It just seems like an author wouldn't make touch possible for one and not the other if it wasn't going to lead to anything.

What if Warner is gonna die? Seriously, I've been thinking about this and it wouldn't be so weird. Maybe he will die to save Juliette and swear, if this is going to happen, I'm gonna kill Tahereh Mafi. Look at her Twitter and at he pinterest and let me know what do you think about this.

Tahereh said it's going to be different *(anticipatory grieving) * but i swear too, if julitette won't end up with warner, i'm going to hunt her forever! I don't want warner to die. That'll be my biggest nightmare.

Did anyone else notice that Destroy me specifically says that the part about Juilette and the toddler where she broke through the wall was a simulation, and all the soldiers know about the simulations? So it looks like Adam purposely kept this from Juilette and let her think (and still think) that Warner really let her torture a small child.

I think that is foreshadowing of some sort.

my friend loves Adam, and she thinks i'm evil because i liked Warner since the first book. Something about him, even with everything going on, told me he was different. Maybe i'm a bad judge of character, but i just cant stand Adam's deception from the beginning. Warner seems so much deeper and real than Adam. Is it too much to hope that at least Juliet see's this before she chooses Adam, even if she can't be with Warner.

I didn't even realize that. that's crazy.

I was really hoping I wasn't insane for loving Warner since Shatter Me and totally hating Adam lol I think everyone can agree, whether they love him or not, that Warner is the more dynamic of the two guys. Adam totally fell flat for me, he turned me off from the start since he was faking being her cellmate. Do not even get me started with how irritating he was in Unravel Me. I knew from the start that there was more to Warner because everyone has a story, he wasn't just born evil. I love his relationship with Juliette it's so....intense. With Adam all they do is make out and talk about their love and blah blah blah lol Warner all the way baby!

I love Warner since the beggining and this series is JUST because of him. He totally make everything around him be more dynamic and I believe he is not the villian bc he was just searching a cure for his mother and then he sees Juli and fall in love for some reason and I really believe that Adam is hidden something bad. I believe that Juliette and Aaron will be together and will run away to help the others.

Warner once told Juliette that a collection of letters isn't always a word. That was in reference to his tattoo. So IGNITE ME might reflect Warner's Tattoo the says IGNITE..,

which might stand for I Give Nothing, I Take Everything....
