VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE discussion

A teenage girl is forced into a journey through a maze of magical creatures in a supernatural thriller. There she finds herself alone, in search of revenge and companionship. This story is set in a fictional world that is weaved through the backdrop of reality.

Melanie Dare’s life is turned upside down due to drugs and abuse by her parents. As a result of her father’s dysfunctional lifestyle, she is raped and murdered. She is turned by a man who calls himself Nicks, but when she awakes she finds herself all alone and in a new decade Melanie becomes Melabeth the vampire, and she is thrust into events outside of her control.

As a vampire, Melabeth steals life to cheat death and becomes everything we want to be: young, beautiful, powerful and fearless. But for all this she has to take the life of others. Meeting a small circle of friends - not all who can be trusted - she finds herself obsessed with revenge against her killers… yet along the way finds love and family. The family she meets is strong, but not what she first thinks. Alice, her new sister, notices strange things about Melabeth, and Melabeth begins to have strange dreams with her creator Nicks; nothing is how it seems, and everyone has ulterior motives. Still she finds love with a boy named David, but her battle for revenge has terrible, unintended consequences, and she will question who, and what she is.

Can her love survive her need for revenge?

In this series Melabeth finds out how forgiveness is the key to justice, and the difference between revenge and justice. This is the first part of a three part series about forgiveness.
