You were fairly quick, Fairle!!

I'm picking from your 'pick' shelf, right?

I loved A Time to Kill and also the Temperance Brennan series (first one being on your shelf, Deja Dead). So I've picked those 2 for you.

And 3rd book I picked is The Square Root of Murder -just cuz I was a maths geek ;p

Oh, I forgot (I've not finished my coffee yet this morning either!) that we're to pick 6 books in total for each other though we only have to read 3. The other 3 are back-ups or really so we can have a little choice ;)

So 3 other picks for you are:
1. A Brew To Kill (Coffeehouse Mystery 11) (it's pretty obvious that I'm really hanging onto the idea of coffee this morning)
2. Choosing to See (Loved Steven Curtis Chapman's music!)
3. Too Close to Home (Women of Justice #1) -looks interesting...

Fairlee, you'll need to pick 3 more for me. Here's a link to my shelf again: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/... for ease of access ;) Thanks!

Was really looking forward to 15th and when it actually hits, I totally forgot about it, LOL - that's what happens when you have a busy weekend!! :p

I have started my first book, The Way I Was Made, this morning though :)

I've finished The Way I Was Made by Chris Tomlin this morning.

It was definitely inspiring and it also have some practical guidance for worship leaders (I was one when I was gifted this book but am serving in other capacity now). My fave part:

But we'll never realize our God-given destiny unless we live by the truth. And the truth is life changing. Our God is good, and what He does is good. His faithfulness toward each of us in perfect and everlasting. His kind thoughts toward us are numberless as all grains of sand on all the beaches of the world. His saving presence is everywhere.

How are you going with your first book? Which one are you reading first?

When you've finished, could you post in the reporting thread, please?

I'm looking at either Duet or Kane and Abel next.

Fairlee, I'm sorry to hear this. Please don't worry about reading for this challenge too much. I don't mind if we drop out at all. I'll read mine anyway just for the sake of clearing out my TBR but I just want you to know that I won't mind if you don't read yours as this definitely is not as important as what's happening in your life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Don't worry about being slow, Fairlee. I've been having a pretty slow reading last few weeks and will probably be slow for the next few weeks more... That's life ;p

How dare life gets in the way of our reading! But... c'est la vie ;)

I really do hope things are improving on your end.

Fairlee Corkran | 66 comments Finished Too Close to Home 4/5 and gave it 5 stars. I love Christian fiction and should read it more often.

I've read my second book, Duet by Kimberley Freeman and gave it 4 stars. I struggled a little with it as I like only 1 character but the ending really blew me away.

Awesome, Fairlee! Great to hear you're loving your reads :)

FYI, when you're reporting, you're supposed to also include your partner's finished book :)

BTW, how are things at home? I hope they are on the mend.

It's a little late but I did manage to finish my third book yesterday - better late than never... at least that's 3 books down from my TBR, whoo pee! :D

oh, I read Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer and rated it 4 stars. It was actually quite good but the ending kinda frustrates me a lot.
