I liked it! :)

Shelby | 17 comments Did you read the book?

Yes I read the book first but I haven't read Beautiful Darkness yet - they changed some stuff but it was an okay book-to-screen adaption alot better than some I've seen and as a movie alone it was brilliant. They did change some major stuff and since I haven't read Beautiful Darkness I don't know how important it will be if they want to make a sequel, they'll probably have to change it a bit as well but I thought it was good as just a movie. I cried in the end scene in the library when Ethan didn't know her yes I know but movies always make me cry somehow, every single one. I also laughed alot, and I loved how Ethan is just a typical teenage guy.

Shelby | 17 comments I loved the end

Lucy | 6 comments I just finished the first one last night and I'm planning to see the movie over spring break!!!! I just have to say, I live in Columbia, sc and most southern cliches the authors mention in the book aren't true. Also, WE DON'T CALL THE CIVIL WAR THE WAR OF SOUTHERN AGGRESSION. WE CALL IT THE CIVIL FREAKING WAR! We do have manners down here though.

María | 161 comments I see the movie today. I prefer the book, this is a good adptation but they have changed so many things that I don't know what would happen in the sequel

Kimiko (kawasumi-kimiko) | 288 comments I saw some parts of the movie with Miyuki going "That's not suppose to happen!!" every 3 seconds (=_=") I never read the book, but is planning to. I believe the book is better, because all books are better than it's movies (=

María | 161 comments Yes! However, that rule has its exceptions like The Notebook and maybe Wuthering Heights (the Juliete Binoche's version)

But movies vs books is for another topic. LOL :)

Alexis Pflug Definitely book, I can't believe they made Amma into a two-in-one person in the movie!

Yes! I miss Marian :(

message 13: by Riya (new) - rated it 1 star

Riya Never seen the movie, but I'm reading the book right now. I've been looking at the cast, and I honestly have no idea how they chose them- the actors are NOTHING like what I pictured them! Is the movie worth watching?
