History: Elda was in love with Alfred Sinclair, a human botanist and the ancestor of Winner Sinclair. Alfred's father tried to seperate the young couple, believing that vampires and humans could never coexist. Alfred was locked within his house, but escaped to see Elda before the town mob could attack her at her home. When he arrived, the two were trapped inside as several torches started a fire in the house, and Alfred urged Elda to suck some of his blood so that she would have the strength to escape. She did, but also drained Alfred's love for her, whereupon he tried to kill her with a large piece of wood.

Elda fled and was never heard from by Alfred again. Despite his momentary lapse, Alfred's love was strong enough that it returned to him almost immediately after having been drained, only after Elda ran away.

History: Ember Rose, her parents left her at the age of three to a rich family, raising the young Ember Rose as their own, Thea and Marcus (rich woman and man) gave her everything a young girl could want. Hiding her real self for many years she blended into society. Ember Rose hesitated but told Kaleen of what she was and found out that they both were the same. Adopted, abandoned, vampires with a daughter of the same breed. Lucky to survive the pregnancy, they rose little Sophia up to be an independent woman. When Sophia was 12, their family was to be burnt at the stake for being ‘witches’. Kaleen took Sophia as Ember Rose asked him to and fled to the country side, but Ember didn’t make it out. Captured, Ember Rose became wild with thirst and almost killed half the town… Then and only then did the town leave her in peace. Joining Kaleen again in the country side they lived a new life with a different last name.

After five centuries of running Sophia was married to a vampire and was now a great great grandmother, but she kept the ‘blue blood’ as did her children, and their children, and their children’s children and so forth. Living in a rich lifestyle in the inner city, Kaleen and Ember Rose had a comfortable life with many friends. One day when Kaleen was coming back from hunting with his ‘friends’, a rouge vampire killed Kaleen’s hunting partners, at full strength the rouge went after Kaleen, weak from thirst Kaleen was killed. Ember Rose was now a widow who must continue living without Kaleen; she then acquired the taste of marijuana and tobacco. She grew her own garden and continued living in the inner city, leaving every twenty odd years and staying for five, she lived in the same house, posing as Ember Rose, named after her ‘mother’, then named after her ‘grandmother’, then ‘great grandmother’ and so on for two centuries.
One day she was taken and put on this island, she luckily had a few tobacco and marijuana roots in her pocket as well as a picture of Kaleen. Ember Rose now began, yet another life without Kaleen, she is a smoker and can no longer talk to her family, Ember Rose refers to herself as ‘Bloom’ after the name of Kaleen’s wanted future daughter.

Other: Karin Maaka is descended from a long line of purebred vampires. However, instead of having to drink blood like normal vampires, Karin's body overproduces blood.
