Cindy Mathes I love Kathy Reichs and Dr Temperance Brennan. I decided to read her Young Adult book "Virals".I checked it out from the library of the Jr.High where I am a Para. When I started reading it, I found that she writes young Tory with the same flair as Tempe. I have only just begun, but am so intrigued already. Young Tory is much like her Aunt Tempe. With the same sharp wit she tells the story that keeps you wanting to turn the page. Both of them Girls that are strong, independent, and curious to a fault. I will write another review when I finish. I have a lot of reading to do. The Viral Series, plus I am 2 books behind on Dr. Tempe's series. I have a real problem when I read a book. I get so involved in the world of the characters, I have a hard time letting go. First was my Twilight world. A series of books that I was NOT going to read, because I don't do vampires. My good friend pushed me to read them. Why did I have feel obligated...Well I sort of pushed Tempe off on her.
Working at the Jr. High, I saw that the kids were reading "The Hunger Games"...When I saw they were making the movie, I had to read them. So then I got caught up in that world.
What do I mean by getting caught up... I can't put the books down...I rush through reading them and have to reread them to get all the things I missed the first time..and then again to catch the rest...
Rambling I am... I will write my review when I finish the "Virals".

Patricia Kaniasty I just started this book yesterday. So far, so good. I have never been into the show "Bones" but it's nice to know of the reference to Tempe. I have also read the hunger games and loved them. I do the same thing with books. I get so involved with them that it's all I can talk about. I don't even watch TV anymore as it would take away from my reading time. My friends think I'm nuts. LOL

Patricia Kaniasty The only other book that I have read by Kathy Reichs is "Devil Bones". LOVED IT!!!!

Cindy Mathes The Tempes of the show and of the books are not the exact same character. Tempe of the books is older and doesn't have such strong Aspie tendencies. Her job is also more interesting to me. She is estranged from her husband, but they haven't been bothered to get a divorce. They have a daughter in and then out of college. She has a very sexy boyfriend that is a detective on the police department of Quebec..Each book is written in Chronological order, and follows Tempes personal life while she does her job.she bounces between North Carolina and Quebec. Each book can stand alone but her life and those in it ccontinue to move forward. Like the tv show...but love Tempe of the books more. I highly recommend the series.

Patricia Kaniasty Finished the book. Not impressed. Reminded me too much of the "Maximum Ride" series.
