Melanie Cusick-Jones (melc-j) OK - so 'Thriller' won the genre vote for our April read-in.

If you are an author, and a member of our group, and write thrillers you can now 'pitch' your book in this thread for readers to choose from. (As part of this process you need to be prepared to supply free e-copies of your book to the participating readers, similar to other ARR systems, in time for the reading month to start).

Readers interested in taking part should comment in the same thread on the books they like the look of to give us 2 - 3 'finalists' to be voted for to select the final 'Book of the Month'.

Authors - To help us along in selecting a book, please only post your nomination as:

ONE sentence on why we should choose your book
The book cover (using the Goodreads insert feature)
The book synopsis (as it appears on Goodreads)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 372 comments My book should be chosen as it's a thrilly thriller with thrilly bits, fearsome bits, and humorous bits that will make you suspicious of everyone you know.

Underneath:
Underneath by Michael Cargill

Look at the person sitting just across from you. It doesn’t matter whether they’re a loved one, a friend, or a complete stranger.

Now look at their face. Are they happy? Are they sad? Or are they angry? Can you even tell?

How well do you actually know the people closest to you?

Have you ever seen the real person that lies just underneath what you see…?

L.F. Falconer | 63 comments If you like the roller coaster or bungee jumping, my dark, psychological thriller, Exit Strategy is the paper equivalent.

Exit Strategy by L.F. Falconer

If a train leaves Boston, does it ever stop screaming? Caught in a web of sex, lies, and murder, Jonas Dumar wants out, and finds himself running for his life in a journey of desperation from Massachuetts, to Newfloundland, to Greenland, and finally to the Shetland Islands. But are Gabe and Izzy, the tormenters who seem hell-bent on driving him insane, assassins? Angels? Or something else altogether? Take a wild voyage across the North Atlantic with a man in possession of too many secrets as Jonas soon comes to discover that a man really can learn more about himself than he ever wants to know. What is, isn't always what it seems.

Warning: Contains graphic material that might be unsuitable for some readers.

Night Sea Journey, A Tale of the Supernatural

Rich characters, psychological undertones, romance, and murder make this little supernatural thriller a fast-paced read.

There’s no such thing as a dream within a dream. Poe was wrong. Dreams are deep shadows between reality and illusion. In the haunted Abasteron House, artist Kip Livingston dreams of a mysterious winged being, all bone and muscle and greedy teeth plunged out. Until one night when her dreams break through the illusion and the nightmares become reality.

On Horn Island, inside Abasteron House ... a tale of the supernatural where the night journey ends beneath the ghost-grey sea.
