The book starts off with teenage twins living in a boarding school in Switzerland. The boy is always causing trouble for the headmaster and the girl is a perfect student. They get word that they are leaving school to go live with their uncle that they never met because their parents were in a helicopter crash. They find when they arrive that they will be living on an island in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the United States. The island is totally owned by their uncle and has a laboratory and research happens there regarding extinct or semi extinct animals. There are a lot of mysterious things happening around the island and then suddenly their uncle decides they have to return to boarding school. On the return trip a dog and pet gorilla get loose in the cargo hold of the plane and then both of them and the twins get dropped into the Congo jungle on a supply crate. The trip through the jungle creates flashback memories for Grace making her feel like she has been there before. The “bad” guys kidnap Grace and the things that start happening after that are really funny. An extinct dinosaur is found, Grace regains her memory and then their uncle bursts through the jungle just as Grace is about to be taken away in a helicopter. I found this book easy to read and the constant dialogue kept me interested. It was fun and contained a lot of interesting detail and humor.
