Jagannath discussion

From the few stories I've read, its quite evident that in spite of using some familiar imagery, Tidbeck has a vision driving the fantastic. One of the themes in this collection is certainly loss, or at least, an absence that says more than what actually does happen in the stories. But in 'Miss Nyberg and I', 'Reindeer Mountain' and 'Who is Arvid Pekon?', we find a clash of the myths of the postmodern world with the supernatural as people once knew it. Did anyone else see these stories that way?

I did, and found the collection as a whole, refreshing. It does a good job merging old and new. Looking forward to more from her in the future.
