Hi, can someone please point me in the right direction? I've been searching messages and topics for a definitive avenue for disambiguation of my name as an author. There are so many different threads it's a bit overwhelming.

I have published as Leo Anthony author of Between Two Worlds: The Account of a Jet-Setting Vagrant. It is listed with various editions of Godforsaken by another author of the same name.

What to do? PS Perhaps this should be listed as a major topic heading in the group as it seems to garner quite a bit of attention?

I've created a new author profile for Leo Anthony here:

This profile has two spaces between the first and last names (Leo^^Anthony, with ^ as a space). If you write more books under this name, enter them with the extra space to set them on the correct profile.

Also, I notice that you changed cover images and removed the ISBN 9781291234473 from the paperback edition, but it appears that the book has been published with this ISBN. Please do not ever remove an ISBN from a record of a published book; if the paperback has been published with two different ISBNs, we need a record for each one. Can you provide the information or create a new record for the other edition, please?

Yes I had to republish under my pen name as well as the new cover image, hence the new ISBN. I know I have a record of the former edition so I will recreate it. Thanks for pointing that out.

Hi Cait, I think I've found the source of the error.

ISBN 978-1-291-35111-8 is actually an ePub version. This edition I had to republish because of the change in pen name. It was originally ISBN 978-1-291-00306-2.

The paperback edition carries ISBN 978-1-291-23447-3 which you seem to think is the missing edition? I have checked my source file and can confirm that this is the paperback ISBN.

Hi, just following up from my earlier post (of Mar 22, 2013 01.06 am): some presumably well-meaning user has again added 'Pointy Enders' to the books I'm author of. 'Pointy Enders' is not my book, it's a book by a different author of the same name. Thanks in advance for helping with this.

Simon, it looks like it's already been fixed! Because your author profile is Simon^Petrie (with one space) and the other author is Simon^^Petrie (with two spaces), this might happen occasionally when a user adds a new book - one space being the "default", so to speak. When it does, just let us know and we'll fix it as soon as possible!

I am hoping someone can help here (the Help section said this was the best place to try.) I am attempting to refine my author profile. I am the author of A Mysterious Something In The Light: A Life of Raymond Chandler (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...). This is the UK edition. I'd like to add the US edition to my profile (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...) but it is not coming up, presumably because my name is a common one.

I'd also to remove the books I've not written from my profile so that when people find me they don't think I've written someone else's work. The only books I have published so far are the two above. How do can edit my profile to reflect this and how can I disconnect my name from the books written by other Tom Williams[s].
