Rowan stops at her locker and puts books into it

Zaid walks out of a store near the school

Rowan grabs a few textbooks and binders, stuffing them into her backpack. She slams her locker door shut and slings the backpack over her shoulder. She walks out of the building

Zaid has purchased a type of medicine that will make people sleep. It is tasteless and colorless and wont be noticed if slipped into a drink. he waits for his girl to come into sight

Rowan walks out of the school with her head down, trying to avoid other people. She turns down the street to take her home when she realizes someone is hurt. She rushes over

Zaid slips inside after Karana and stands in line behind her

Rowan nodded, "Of course." she drops her book bag and helps him

Zaid says, "I'll pay for it." he also orders his own. He pays for them both

Rowan wraps her arm around him to make sure he didnt fall, supporting most of his weight. "Where to? Do you need me to call an ambulence?" she pulled her phone from her pocket

Zaid smiles back, "I'm Zaid." he says and grabs both their drinks, nodding at a table for them to sit at

Rowan nodded, "Ok." she put the phone back in her pocket and asked, "Where to?"

Zaid walked behind Karana. When she wasnt looking, he slipped the tiny pill into the lid of the coffee. He sat down and set it on the table. "Here." he stirred it for her

Rowan nodded and took a left. "How did this happen!?"

Zaid nodded and leaned back in his chair, drinking his coffee

Rowan gasped and continued supporting his weight

Zaid put his coffee down and said, "I have graduated early and have started taking classes at the university here. I just moved in."

Rowan nodded, taking another left. "How ya doing, you ok?" she asked concerned

Zaid smiled back, "Ya, I guess." he took another drink of his coffee

Rowan was getting tired, he weighed more than he looked

Zaid smiled, and took another drink of his coffee. He picked a table by the back entrance and there were no people around, just like he knew

Rowan raises an eyebrow. If both his parents were doctors, couldnt they afford something better than a shack. She sets him down, suspecting something wrong

Zaid asked Karana, "You ok?"

Rowan stiffles a scream and struggles against him. But she was too small and skinny. She was never an athlete so she had no muscle

Zaid took Karana's hand and led her out back to his truck

Rowan still tries to stuggle, but soon realizes its no use. She starts tugging at her restraints

Zaid sits her in the passenger side of the car. Giving her glasses and a jacket so no one would see her starting to cave into the drug

Rowan stares in horror. Why had she been so stupid!

Zaid buckles her up and drives off

Rowan shook her head, taking short unsteady breaths. She was terrified

Zaid drives down the back strees, trying to avoid people.

Rowan flinches at his touch and spits on the ground by his feet. She wouldnt go down without at least a pathetic attempt of resistance

After several hours of driving, Zaid came up to a house. There was nothing in sight for miles, it was all field. He took Karana out of the car and brought he inside

Rowan looks down at the ground, feeling hopeless

Zaid sets Karana down in a room that would be hers. The house was one story and had a few rooms. He laid her in the bed

Rowan looks around, taking in her surroundings

Zaid goes over and sits on the other side of the bed. "Your here with me now." he simply stated as if he were saying the weather

"I saved you," Zaid said

Rowan was relieved, then remembered her phone in her pocket. She tried to shake it loose with her hands behind her back

"People are cruel. I saved you from that," he said

Quickly Rowan stoped moving and leaned against the wall

Rowan goes back to trying to shake her phone loose

"You fell asleep in my car." Zaid said

Rowan shakes her phone loose, it clatters to the floor. She curses under her breath and quickly moves to hid the phone.

Smiling? Why is she smiling? wondered Zaid. He shrugged and sat on the bed next to her

Rowan stares off at the ground, a distant look in her eyes

Zaid smiles and brushes hair out of her face

Rowan moves her phone so that she could grab it from behind her back. She had it in her hands and tried to open it. Her parents couldnt afford the touch screen

Zaid wondered why she wasnt freaking out, or why she didnt remember anything. The drug would let her keep her memory, but he guessed that it would take time. Because she wasnt freaking out, he would have to keep an eye on her. He was guessing it was all an act to let his guard down

Rowan starts to silently punch in 911

Zaid watches her while she slept. Even if he left her alone in her room, there were no windows to escape with

Rowan fumbled with the buttons, pressing the keys lightly

Zaid smiled when Karana finally fell asleep and left the room

Zaid went to the kitchen and started rummaging around for food

Rowan had entered the digits in and had pressed call. Suddenly, her phone started beeping. There was no service. She cursed and tried to make it stop

Rowan just glared up at him

Zaid finally found eometht that looked good to eat and sat on the tattered couch in the small living room

Rowan looks at the tiny pieces on the floor.

Rowan slumps against the wall

Zaid ate

Rowan eventually gets lost in thought and falls asleep uncomfortably against the wall

Zaid walks around the small house

Rowan slept dreamlessly

Zaid eventually found himself going to Karanas room

Zaid walks in, "hungry?"

"Kitchen's this way." Zaid said and walked over to Karana, helping her out of bed

Rowan began to stirr
