Gigi | 5 comments Hi, I'm wondering how many members of this Catholic group are involved in Catholic Scripture Study? I've been doing this for 10 yrs now and I love it. I would love to hear from any others who do Bible Study through CSS.

I'm also wondering if we could do an online book club? Someone recommends a book to read and we all post comments and questions on a selected date to "discuss" the book? Anyone interested?

booklady Gigi,

Benedict's Book Club hasn't taken on Scripture study. However, our one book at a time approach doesn't seem to be for everyone. So maybe we need to branch out and/or try some new ideas. Perhaps we could incorporate a Scripture study into it.

Maybe we could combine the two groups? Anyway, for anyone who is interested, please check out Benedict's Book Club.

Lionel Valdellon (lionelv) Gigi,
Sounds like a great idea. Would love to have a go at it.

Booklady,
I applied for membership at Benedict's Book Club! Hope you approve me soon. Thanks!

Hi. I'm new here. I'm a member of the Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy. We meet twice a month and read from St. Faustina's Diary, Scripture and the Catechism. I also moderate an e-mail prayer group. We pray with the upcoming Sunday's Mass readings and share before the Mass.

Zelie (zelie01) As far as studying scripture goes, I think Brother Peter's book:The Bible Proves the Teachings of the Catholic Church, is most useful in combating the heresies of protestants who twist scripture to their own destruction. It is a great tool for evangelizing, and if a protestant is being honest, after reading the book he will see that the Bible indeed does teach the Catholic teaching and not the protestant heresies of "faith alone", "scripture alone" etc. The book can be bought online at www.vaticancatholic.com, and there are sections you can read online for free. Also, one should not be going to a "Bible study" at a "local perish" since all those "local perishes" promote a false religion based off of vatican 2 which was not a true Catholic council. Since the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958 there has not been a true Pope. The Catholic Church has been reduced to a remnant of Traditional Catholics who hold to what the Church has always taught, and this was predicted to happen. Our Lady of La Salette said, "Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the antichrist...the Church will be in eclipse." The reason this is happening is because we are living in the end times. Please see this video for more information on this topic:Is the World about to End? - The Apocalypse Explained? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn9t0...
I must also say in true charity that the "Divine Mercy" devotion is false and must not be prayed. Please see this file for more information. http://www.mostholyfamilymonastery.co...
