GROUP 10 - moderator Anne Carlisle

END DATE: 29 June 2013

Please remember the commitment you are making to your fellow group members. If you don’t think you can manage to do 4 book reviews between these dates please let me know now. I will find someone else for this group and you will be able to choose a later group that will be more suitable for you. If you pull out after the start date for any reason it is the other members who will be faced with the problem of finding a replacement, or missing out on reviews, through no fault of their own. Please don’t ask the moderators to chase after replacements as we just don’t have the time.

It is the responsibility of the author to get their book to their reviewer in a format the reviewer can manage. When the file is received, please post a GR link to the book in this thread so that the author has confirmation that reviewing of the correct book has started.

There are no set dates for the start of each round. You can each work at your own pace, within the limits of the round deadlines. All reviews must be posted by 29 June 2013.

When you have posted your review on GR please post a link to your review in this thread.

All reviews of 3, 4 or 5 stars must be posted to GR, Amazon .com and Amazon.co.uk.

If the rating is 1 or 2 stars, the review must be posted to GR but the author should be asked if they want the review to go to Amazon or not.

Postings to any other sites are by agreement by both author and reviewer.

DON’T FORGET TO POST THE LINK TO THE BOOK(S) YOU WILL BE PUTTING FORWARD FOR REVIEWING AS I REQUESTED IN MY PM TO YOU. FAILURE TO DO SO BY THE GROUP START DATE MAY RESULT IN YOU LOSING YOUR PLACE TO ANOTHER MEMBER.

In the next post are the listings for the 4 review rounds, the who reviews who stuff. You don’t have to put forward the same book for every round, but you can only ask for one review per round.

A quick note at this point - K.A.Krisko (Kathy) is away until the 27th. She has already confirmed her group membership to me and will be hot on the trail for book swaps as soon as she gets back.

One other thing - you can sort out all 4 books for reviewing from the get go or just do one at a time. The choice is yours: just make sure you have the book for the first round by 06 April.

And Johnny and Lori - just a reminder that publicly posted email addresses like you've just done can lead to grief.

ALL MEMBERS: use PMs to exchange addresses to send books to if you want to preserve your privacy. It is very easy for software to trawl and pick up live email addies. If you don't want to be plagued by bogus emails that are trying to con you into passing on personal details, or 'just click on this link' jobbies that download viruses, be circumspect in where and how you leave your address. Most sites give the option of throwaway address aliases so you could investigate those options if you think you might be leaving yourself vulnerable to attack.

Well well - I didn't know there was a limit on friends. No problem acting as intermediary :)

There's a friend limit???!!! How bizarre.

There's a limit to how many friend requests you can send a day.

They cut you off at 5000 I have the same problem with facebook and several other media accounts.

I could be wrong, but I believe Facebook fan pages are unlimited. I have one (but no activity on it *lol*)

on facebook, my regular account is limited to 5000, my fan page is unlimited on followers, but limited to 5000 on who I can like .

Has anyone heard from L.M. May? I'm not antsy...yet...just wondering. Oh, and secretly wishing I had Johnny's problem. But then again, since I have a habit of feeding my friends when they come over, I think I'd have to strip the grocery store in order to cook for 5000.

Really sorry to do this at late notice but I am pulling out. When I first published my book a few weeks ago the general consensus (everywhere) was to get those first reviews for your book. People suggested threads like this.

BUT ... then something amazing started happening - the reviews started rolling in from readers anyway. I already have seven - can hardly believe it.

So thank you Jay for providing this wonderful opportunity, but I am going to pull out. Looks like you already have lots of people who would love to be part of this group anyway :) Sorry for any trouble or inconvenience I have put you through. According to my reviewers I am much better investing my time in my next book! Wahoooo ... all the best to all of you and I hope those reviews start rolling in. BEST FEELING EVER
