The Shipwreck
Rick Corbin walked into his restaurant, he liked to help out, and to work in his establishment. Yeah he had employees to do things but he liked to jump right in the middle of everything and know the goings on in his own restaurant. He said hello to a few regulars and went behind the bar to help out with the lunch rush. He tied a waist apron around him and then started taking drink orders from some sailors, he quickly started pouring the requested drinks with a skilled hand.
"Oh? Not so much?" Siri asked, she then wondered if she'd overstepped her bounds, she didn't want to make Caden feel uncomfortable. Siri opened the door for Caden and the wonderful smells of food came drifting out.
"I'd rather not talk about it," Caden said, "Thank you." She scanned the restaurant and she saw whom she was looking for. She waved over to Rick and she waited to be seated.
Rick looked up as new customers came in, except one wasn't new, he knew her and a grin spread across his face. Rick jumped over the bar and walked up to Caden and hugged her tight. "Hey there Caden! How are you? who's your friend?" He asked when he eyed Siri standing behind Caden kind of shy like. "Do you want seats outside or inside? I'll give you whatever you want."
"I'm good! This is Chef Siri Hun and up to her. Siri, this is Rick Corbin" Caden said hugging him tightly. "How is everything?"
Zach came sprinting into the Shipwreck, glad that he didn't have a dress code. He quickly clocked in, and leaped over the bar, ready to work and out of breath. Zach was only a few minutes late, as predicted, so he was relieved. "Hey, Rick."
"Everything's been going good actually, nice to meet you Siri," he shook hands with them and after a soft response from Siri he led them to the bar to eat at. He went back behind it an then was soon joined by his newest staff Zach. "Hey Zach how's it going?"
Zach laughed a little. "Fine, how about you?" He got busy pouring glasses of water for Siri and Caden, giving them to the two teachers.
Caden nodded toward Zach and then smiled. "Well it seems like your business is booming. Still remember Iron Chef?" Caden chuckled.
"Yeah i do, so much fun. So how's classes you two having fun?" He asked and grinned over at Zach, the kid was going to fit in great. "So what y'all gonna eat? Zach will put your order in." Siri smiled at the two guys and sipped the water, "it's good. I think I'd die without Caden," she grinned at her fellow chef, "I'll have the shrimp Alfredo and a sweet tea."
"Ookay," Zach said, pouring the sweet tea. "Anything else?"
((What do I do abt the food? Zach's the waiter/bartender/impromptu performer...not a chef lol. He burns water xD))

((Give Caden a month with him, she'll make him into a decent chef. :p))
"Our freshies are incredible this year. Siri is a natural. A seafood salad and that'll be it," Caden said.

((He can just put it on a ticket and slide it to the "back" it'll magically make itself :P))Rick grinned, "Sounds like ill be getting new staff in a few years. My chefs will be a bore by then." He winked at them to let them know he was teasing.
Siri thanked Zach for the tea and then listened to Caden and Rick talk while she waited for her food to be cooked.
Zach hastily scrawled down their orders, and slid it to the back ((xD)), waiting for the food to be ready. He cleaned out glasses, and waited. The food finally was ready, so he dished it out to the diners. "And...alfredo for Siri, salad for Caden...there ya go. Anything else?"
"Lots of potential Rick, I'm telling you," She said to Rick as her food was dished out. "Thank you sir, I don't need anything else. Excellent employee you have here," She complimented Zach.
Zach overheard Caden's compliment. "Why, thanks much, Caden," he said, laughing a little at himself. He had nothing to do, so Zach leaned against the counter behind the bar, reading the latest copy of Rolling Stone.
((Lol Cam, you're so funny :P))Rick looked over at Zach, "Yeah I think he's going to be a keeper. He's done well so far, and he doesn't get scared by my crazy ideas, always a plus." Rick playfully punched Zach in his arm, not hard. He then looked at the girls, "Soooo how's the food?"
Siri took a bite of the shrimp dish, the flavors exploded in her mouth and she let out a sigh that sounded like she thought it was heavenly. "You have my vote," Siri said with a smile for Rick and Zach. "Excellent service and food," She started eating once more.
"Hey just keep this one away from the girls," Caden motioned Rick to a table of girls just a little ways away. They were staring at Zach, more like drooling over him. She tasted her seafood salad,"Nothing less of the best." She smiled proudly.
Rick looked over at the girls ogling his bartender, "Well you know how it is for the young bucks around here. I think he has a girlfriend though, so I'm sure he'll do fine." He grinned over at the girls and they all blushed and looked at their food, whispering to one another.Siri laughed softly and put her fork down, she'd eaten half her food and wanted to give it a few moments to settle before she ate more. She took a sip of her tea and then looked at Caden, "So you seem to know quite a few people around here."
Caden chuckled and she said," Yes, I do know how it is. So long as he's got a girlfriend he should be okay," she heard Siri speak and she said," I know people. But to me their're just people. I don't notice them for their fame or anything, I notice them for them," Caden said, with a smile.
Rick put a plate of onion rings between the girls and winked, "You enjoy those on the house, I gotta get some drinks for those customers that just walked in." He walked away and started talking to a young couple that had just approached the bar at the opposite end.Siri looked after him and then at the food, "He's very nice. I think he would be someone I could get along with as a friend. Hmmm just gonna try one of these..." She picked up one of the onion rings and took a bite, it was delicious of course.
"He's totally hitting on you," Caden said like it was nothing. She took a drink of her water and then said,"He was checking you out."
Siri almost choked at Caden's words, she finished chewing the food in her mouth and turned to Caden, "But I'm not his type. I don't even like guys like that." She was a bit flustered, she didn't want guys checking her out or hitting on her.
Caden chuckled lightly. "You look cute like that, blushing," She observed , eating more of her seafood salad.
Siri blushed more, "Thank you." She said softly and took a sip of her drink again, then went back to eating, she hoped that the Rick guy didn't get the wrong idea. She liked women, not men, in particular one woman, she sneaked a peek at Caden as she ate.
"No problem gorgeous," Caden smiled. She then leaned back in her seat and she looked out at the sea.
"I'm stuffed," Siri said as she leaned back much like Caden and looked out to the sea. "This is a beautiful location, he picked well." Siri could smell the ocean on the breeze that blew in.
"That's why I didn't finish mine. Its going to be my snack," Caden said. There was just enough to make the rest of it into a dip. "He does know how to pick a place huh?"
"Mhmm it's going to be a new favorite of mine for sure. I wonder what spices he put on those onion rings," she looked at them, they definitely had a special ingredient to them. Maybe Caden could figure it out since she was a savory chef.
"What do you think? It tastes different than any onion ring I've ever had..." Siri watched Caden's face. She was so "Beautiful." She bit her bottom lip, she hasn't meant to say that aloud.
"It tastes like.... Cajun spices from the south..... A pinch of parsley and some old Parmesan and Cheddar cheese, only a little bit though....." Caden said, then she heard Siri say "Beautiful," and she looked over," Hm?"
"Yeah that sounds about right," Siri grinned Caden's way when she figured it out, her cheeks blossomed a pretty red when she mentioned her comment. "I was thinking you look beautiful..." She said softly.
"Oh..... Me? I am merely a peasant in the presence of a queen," Caden said, smiling over at Siri.
"Yeah right," Siri replied but grinned at Caden all the same. "So what do you want to do next? We still have a couple hours to kill."
((I try. :D))
Zach merely smirked at the girls, and stretched, accidentally-on-purpose lifting his shirt to show his totally awesome abs and low-riding jeans. He didn't know exactly what to do, so he yawned and started to clean tables, edging near the girls. "Hel-lo, ladies."

((Lol)) Rick rolled his eyes at Zach. He went to making a few drinks for some customers and then slid em over to them.
Siri pushed her plate away and turned fully towards Caden. "Yeah that sounds good. I need to walk off these calories now anyway."
Zach stopped cleaning and went back to the bar, and made himself a Bloody Mary, sipping it contently and waiting for his friends.
Zach set his drink down and grabbed a box from behind the counter. "Yep." He set the box down in front of them, and spooned-carried-somehow transported the food to the box, then closed it and gave it to them. "There ya go, Caden." He took their plates to the "back". ((:D))
"Thanks man," Caden said. She took the box, paid for her food and she slid Zach a five dollar bill. "For great service," she nodded toward him and she then turned to Siri. "Ready?"
"Thanks," Zach said, nodding slightly. He pocketed the five, and went back behind the counter, drinking his
Siri paid for her food as well, then gave Zach a few dollars as a tip. "Spend it on your girl," Siri suggests with a wink, then proceeded to follow Caden outside.
"Will do," Zach said with a lopsided smile. He took the money and pocketed that, also, and turned to Rick. "Hey, boss, do you want anything?"
