"you know. I've had plenty of names but no one has ever called me Seasons.. I like it. It's different, and far better then something boring like.....well a boring name" Summer stated cocking her head to the side and jumping off the sidewalk and picking up a penny.
Saxon pulled her to his chest, back on the side walk just in time for a car to zoom by. It had almost hit her, and it didn't even stop just kept speeding down the road. "Summer! Are you okay?" He looked down at the girl in his arms, his face was filled with worry.
Summer stood frozen her muscles tightend as she heard it go by "I-I-I'm fine" she stuttered, that was the 2nd time this week she almost got hit by a car and she needed to strt being more careful. "thanks" she sighed relzxing some and looking up.
Saxon's heart was pounding, he couldn't believe she had almost been hit by a car. "I'm glad you're okay...should we find somewhere to sit down?"
"sure" Summer breathed "sounds safe" over time she had grown to accept that she would always be pron to danger, and accidents. She was already as clam as she was the minute she picked up the penny "good thing the penny was heads" she smiled
Saxon chuckled, "Yes, good thing it was on heads. How about we buy you a shirt and go back to the coffee shop? I still never got my coffee." He added the last part to tease her.
"Well you can have me. Well my shirt." Summer chuckled pointing to it. "Not having. It is your choice."
((Sorry missed your post, don't be afraid to ? me lol))Saxon beamed at her words, "I can have you, huh? That's a tempting offer Seasons." He let her go, when he realized he was still holding her.
((lol it's fine))"well actualy, almost no coffe landing on me....well very little of it, wait, so does that mean you technically baught me?" Summer started to think while rubbing her right hand on her left forearm.
"I do owe you a shirt still, I don't like to go back on my word. Do you see any shops you like ?((just make one up))" Saxon walked over to look at a shop's window.
Summer closed her eyes and aimed randomly, "there" she stated opening her eyes "never mind" she quipted seeing that she was pointing at a tree.
Saxon ignored the fact that she just pointed at a tree, and walked over to another store "Hmm, how about this one it seems...girly enough?"
"Sexist." Summer muttered "Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I want girl things. I grew up with my older brother's hand-me-downs. I doubt that I crave the girlyness that engulfs girls" She sated following him.
"I'm not a sexist, I was just trying to be helpful. Not trying to imply that a girl might like girl clothing or anything that that, nope..." Saxon's blue eyes lit up playfully as he walked into a shop with both guy and girl clothing.
Summer laughed "I don't mind, I know, I was just simply wondering how you would react. How people react to things shows off who they are, obviously, but still."
Saxon roll his eyes at her and jestingly added, "Girls and their tests. I hope I passed." He laughed at his silly comment.
"I only test people because I have to" Summer grinned "and whether you passed is up to me.... However I can't seem to decide so well just have to assume you did and move on with life"
"Well feel free to test me whenever, I've always been a good test taker. And glad to hear I passed, well assuming wise anyways." Saxon smiled as he picked a shirt, "How about this one?"
"As long as you can afford it and it fits me I'm fine with it" Summer stated, she's never been that much into cloths and her attention span had ran out as she started looking at other things.
Saxon chuckled to himself, his parents were loaded and we worked as a junior partner at his father's company. He would have no problems affording anything in this store. He worked hard for his own money, so he wasn't spoiled like most people in his position would be. "The price doesn't matter to me Seasons, chose something you like. Something that you'll actually wear again." he grinned at her.
She looked up, she never had a lot of money in her entire life and usually she would only be able to by small cheap things, she looked at him with a confused empression. She knew she couldn't afford even half the things. "price has to matter some what, I can't even afford half the things in here, and for me to take advantage would be wrong"
Saxon frowned slightly, "Well you're not taking an advantage because I offered. And as bad as this makes me sound, price isn't important to me. What is important however is that I keep my word, and you like what I buy. So please choose whatever you want to, I insist."
"Yes, but you see my brothers will automaticly notice the back that I could never afford the shirt and would automaticly asume I stole it, or worse" Summer stated hating her brothers at the moment, if they would get jobs she wouldn't be in this situation.
"So keep the receipt and the bag, then they can't say that you stole it, Seasons. If worst comes to worst say that your new boyfriend bought it for you," Saxon was only slightly kidding with his last statement. Seasons was cute, even without trying. He wondered if there was someway he could help her out...
"And they'll laugh in my face and accuse me of lying. Maybe being a hooker, I'm not quite sure" Seasons shook her head holding up her finger as she thought.
"probably along the lines of a hooker, yea, I don't see them believing anything I say. They almost never do and always try to make me out to be some horriable person. Which I'm not, if I go say so myself" Seasons stated.
"Well I can always meet them, or beat them up for you...either one is not a problem. I don't think your a bad person either, just someone bad things happen to." Saxon thoughtfully replied.
Seasons smiled looking down before taking a long blink and looking up "beating them up would be a mistake, maybe even your last depending on heir mood..." she bit the corner of her lip "and yea i guess you could say bad things have happened to me."
"I don't know, Seasons, I'm a pretty tough guy. And that happens too much in the life, bad things happening to good people. I have a question and I hope it's not too bold of me to ask?" Saxon raised an eyebrow as he waited for her reply.
"yea, but against a lot of tough guys....sorry to say I don't see a good chance of you being able to take them all on" Seasons chuckled before nodding "oh and go ahead and ask any question, but that doesn't mean I'll answer."
"I'm looking for some guys to do maintenance/handyman stuff around my families estate...do you know anyone I could ask?" he hoped him asking this wouldn't make her mad.
she shrugged aimlessly "I'd love to know more people around here the maybe I would be able to say yes, but unfortunetly no one I know thats guy would be willing to work. And I don't think asking you to work for your self be a good answer" she wasn't mad in the slightist, though the idea of someone actualy owning an estate made her wonder if he was lying.
"Well that's unfortunate. However, my mom was looking for an assistant while we we're down here. She an interior designer, so she needs someone to take messages and make appointments for her clients. I think, she said the pay would be about a 1,000 a week...I could put in a good word if you're interested?" Saxon shrugged his shoulders as he asked.
Her gaw basicly dropped "1,000 for just a week... what is she thinking. If my mother was alive she wouldn't pay 100 for a month" the idea of it all surprised Seasons more then it should, the idea what someone would be willing to pay someone 1,000 for a week just to take messages and make appointments was just something to far fetched in her imagionation.
"Because it's a hard and stressful job, Seasons. And you don't know my mother, she's not an easy person to get along with. Plus you have to keep quiet about her clients, and their personal information. So the 1,000 a week really isn't that bad, are you interested?" Saxon explained the job, not as well as his mother would, but good enough.
"Sounds amazng...but I have one question. How much would I be mentioned to other people? Not to sound like a brat or anything but I need to know" Seasons stated and asked, the idea of getting that much amazed her but she needed to know a few things before doing anything about it.
"You can tell people you work for my mom, she's kind of a celebrity in her own right. She's the first person on anyone's list, and she gets booked months to a year in advance. You can also mention the clients, but only after my mom has finished their project and she says it's okay. You might have heard of her Kelly Diamond?" Saxon asked normally he didn't talk about his mom. He wasn't one to brag, but his mom needed an assistant fast and Seasons, seemed perfect for the job.
"Oh, I won't be mentioning it at all, nor any clients, I just don't want to be mentioned either. I will not even talk about it to almost no one, oh and I really can't have me, my name, or a picutre mentioned." Seasons said listing off things that could get her spotted. It would simply be a matter of hours she would have to leve if she was mentioned and the prospect of being noticed by the people out to get her/her family were always looking and watching.
"Oh don't worry my mom keeps her assistants well in the background. She wants you to be invisible, but available at all times. Well when you're working with her, anyways. Like I said not an easy lady to work for. Why do you want to be anonymous?" Saxon frowned, worrying about her.
"Some things are best left unsaid..." Seasons stated waving it all off, she was bothered slightly at having to use that line over and over, it was one of those safe phrases that didn't really expose everything and was a lot better then 'yea, if I tell you, I'd have to move, and you might be hunted down and killed just for knowing'
Saxon's frown deepened but he let it go, she wasn't going to force her to talk about it. He decided to switch the conversation back to the task at hand."So how about we pick out a shirt and then I'll call my mom about you?" Saxon changed the subject.
Seasons noticed this and cocked her head to the side "how about you pick a shirt and I just wear it nd then you'll call your mum" She smiled turing around and putting on a hat that said 'obey' "ha, I feel like one of those people with swag that say they're straight when S.W.A.G. really stand for secretly we are gay" she couldn't keep the amused tone from her voice
"Hmm, I've never heard that before. Here I like this one what do you you think? (view spoiler)" Saxon held the shirt up for her inspection.
Saxon ripped the price tag off before she could look at it. He smiled and jokingly said, "That's for me to know, and for you not to worry about."
