Business has been slow. Okay, business has been dead. And not even of the undead variety. You would think Chicago would have a little more action for the only professional wizard in the phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn't been able to dredge up any kind of work, magical or mundane.

But just when it looks like he can't afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise.

A brutally mutilated corpse. Strange-looking paw prints. A full moon. Take three guesses; and the first two don't count...

I'm going to listen to 1 hour of this one on my lunchtime walk. Then I'll leave the rest for Monday .

My audiobook timing is off! I just finished one and started another so I won't be able to get to this one on Monday - hopefully, Thursday :0(

I was trying to fix my timing after finishing one on Wednesday ,didn't start anything, I listened to one hour exactly and will continue on Monday.

I have to listen to something when walking the dog - standing around while he reads his P-mail can be very tiring if I'm not listening to an audiobook.

I walk about an hour on my lunch time When I'm at work, I have to listen to something otherwise I'm too lazy to do it. It helped that we had a public holiday on Thursday and I didn't do my walk:D

I did a little sleuthing on Wiki. Seems there were, like, five differ types. Maybe that's why I can't remember! LOL!

Started listening and am up to chapter 7. Interesting tidbit from Bob about (view spoiler)[someone named Elaine - wonder who she is> (hide spoiler)]

I can't remember that name, Lauren. But it has been awhile since I've read this one. Well, several months. But my short-term memory isn't what it used to be!

Right now, all I know is that she is someone from Harry's past. Hopefully, who she is will be explained.

I've started writing down key issues in the notes section of my reviews, otherwise, I can't remember who's who or what's what, lol!

Yeah, I should really do that, too. I know that is one of the reasons why I wanted to re-read this one.

There was a brief thing about her in book 1 without her name , something about a woman in Harry's past , I can't remember the exact thing but there was something about her.

Wow! I so wasn't expecting (view spoiler)[Murphy arresting Harry. Of course, I can't blame her - Harry does have a tendency to keep things from her whether intentionally or not (hide spoiler)].

I was so angry at her, not my favorite character in this book!

She is seriously PO'd with Harry after the events of Storm Front - it might take her a while to get over it.

But it's funny how he thinks she is cute!!

Not yet. I'm just over halfway through immediately after the events at the police station.
I'm listening on audio while walking the dog - he gets really long walks because I don't want to stop :0)

Now that I'm almost finished, I read the spoiler question. The Alphas are (view spoiler)[classic werewolves - humans with the ability to use magic in order to shift into wolves. According to Bob, they retain their humanity after the shift and it takes them a long time to develop wolf instincts if ever. (hide spoiler)]

Thanks Lauren. it was interesting thatvTara was a wolf that could turn human. But it made lots of sense.

Yes, I thought that making Tera a wolf who could shift into a human was very original although I did kind of guess that was the case when Harry couldn't soul gaze with her.

I have a few audio books to get through this month so I might only be able to start the next book at the beginning of June.

We can do the one after that at the end of June so you're caught up:)
