Debate discussion

Has anybody else noticed some debates getting sort of... stale and dwindling off? I've noticed that many aren't quite as heated and have collapsed into no-good-debates. How can we improve the debates? Maybe we could start by deleting some old and off-topic ones, racking our brains to come up with new ideas, or trying to revive some old ones.

What other ideas do people have for group-improvement and organization?

Hmmm, I'm new so I wouldn't know. But if they are THAT dead you could just start sending messages, or post just one thing so people see it in their updates.

YEAH, no actually, I like being off topic, it breaks the stress. And it is obvioud Lauren hates Jayda, lol.

lol. We just need more members, new ones who want to participate. And we also have to make it more user friendly and on topic. I'm thinking I might do some spring cleaning over spring break, delete all topics that don't have debates or banish them to off-topic chatbox.

I enjoy Jayda, she is a good opponent.

i agree Liz and Riley. I think we need some new, more alternate views, and i can also say that i enjoy Jayda very much too. :)

Perhaps, if you have the urge to say "JAZON MRAZ!" ou can make a topic about him in the nondebate discussions....

Yes, it is. Republicans fight against civil rights, gay marriage, woman's equality, etc. (yes these are all still problems today, believe it or not).

If you look back at history, you will see that the conservatives were always those who fought against the liberation of groups of people.

Republicans fight against women's equality? Are we talking about the same Republican party?

I do completely believe their stance on gay marriage is ludicrous, but they do have a few things correct. At least more correct than most democrats.

Yes. Look back to the 1920's. It happened. Except then Republicans were liberals and Democrats were conservatives and Woodrow Wilson (a conservative) fought against women rights.

That's freaky. And explains why Jersey used to be Republican.
