Over the past few months I've been reading or re-reading Agatha Christie's books.

Right now I'm working on the second Hercule Poirot called Murder on the Links and the sixth Miss Marple--A Pocketful of Rye.

Alan | 5 comments I'm reading the second Camille Lackberg book,The Preacher. Lackberg is a very popular Swedish crime writer. Her first novel was The Ice Princess. I'm enjoying this book very much so far.

Oh, The Ice Princess was good. I'll have to check out The Preacher.

Lex | 2 comments I'm so glad there is a book buzz group on goodreads!

I'm currently reading The Civil War Diary of Sarah Morgan as part of the library's year challenge. I can say that I am not a fan of this book and sadly the copy I borrowed has pages cut out of it. I'm hoping to finish this as soon as I can...

Kelli (kelli413) | 17 comments I'm currently reading Malice of Fortune by Michael Ennis. It's a historical thriller set in Renaissance Italy. The main character, Damiata, enlists the help of Leonardo Da Vinci and Niccolo Macchiavelli to help her solve the murder of her former lover, Juan Borgia (the son of the Pope, Alexander VI). It took a bit of time to get into, but now I'm enjoying it.

Rare (rarecat2) | 14 comments I'm reading The Submission, last month's book on Book Buzz! Yes, I'm a little late but I'm enjoying the book and it opened up a whole new perspective on how real all the paranoia around Muslims and terrorism can become. All it takes is something to trigger what may be just below the surface.

Janet (jkk1) | 1 comments How wonderful to have Book Buzz on GoodReads!

I just finished The Testament of Jessie Lamb, a dystopian novel that was on the Booker Prize long-list a couple of year's ago. It was interesting; a quick read that packed a lot of punch.

I'm going to try a classic sci-fi story next, Ursula K. Le Guin's The Lathe of Heaven. I saw a movie version many years ago and can't get it out of my head.

I find I'm getting back into science fiction more these days, after ignoring the genre for years.

I'm really enjoying The Start of Everythingby Emily Winslow.

Has anyone read it? Or read her first book?

message 10: by Alan (new)

Alan | 5 comments I just started The Murder of Monsieur Challet by Georges Simenon. This is the second in the series of Maigret novels that I'm reading. I'm going to Paris this summer for the first time so I want to read as much as I can about the city in advance.
